So, is 2 characters the new maximum limit, instead of 6 ?
I mean, really ?
This morning i could finally log in to the Shilen server, only to find out that i could only create 2 characters ... is this a bug or some "new exciting truly free feature" ?
I know that i can create as many accounts as i want, but what's the point of having 3 or 4 different accounts just to be able to have a few alts ? O.O
Please tell me that it's a bug, and it will be fixed ... soon®
It is the maximum for the two NEW servers. The old ones are still 7. I have heard that this may change in the future but I have not seen anything official on this :)

Hmm ... well, that would make sense actually, the new servers are so overcrowded that it would be kinda logical to limit the characters to 2 per account for now, and expand that limit in a little while !
It actually feels really good to be back, and seeing a new sever named "Shilen" was just awesome for me, as you know how i love everything Dark Elf - related :)
So, what are you up to ? Did you just join again, or were you faithful all the way ?
Do you know if any of our old friends are still around ?
JKoster / Olorae maybe ?
(oh, and it also feels really good to see morons like that "chivien" dude, Lineage II still has the worst MMO community ever, i'm back on familiar grounds here :p )
I'm going to guess they are probably figuring out a way to make it so you have to buy extra slots with NCcoin. They probably couldn't cut Chronos & Naia down to 2 for new accounts only, and didn't want the backlash if they were to convert all accounts over to only 2.

They'll need to forbid dualboxing then.
How do you figure...especially if someone (like me) has one account for the various buffing classes and the other for my non-buffing class.
And unless you can guarantee me that you'll be on when I want to play and play the way I enjoy (I don't always spam shots, and will run to hunting areas instead of porting everywhere, and may go to 5-6 different hunting spots just to check things out prior to settling down at one, may just sit around for 10-15 minutes to BS with clannies in the middle of grinding, or even going afk for 10-20 minutes to take care of my son); I'm going to keep dual boxing.
When I'm in a party I usually don't bring one of my boxes unless we have the room, I'll even just play my one of my buffing classes if that's what the party needs (since I do enjoy playing them also), but there are times when I just want to do my own thing and so will just be out there dualboxing, kicking back, and relaxing.
Edit: Forgot to add that if they made you buy more slots, then I would have to pay for 2 accounts worth so as to account for the fighting classes I play and the buffing classes.

Thanx :)
Actually it does not make much sense.
There is no reason to limit it to just 2 toons per account instead of
the normal max of 7 toons per account.
Why ?
Because no matter how many toons you have on 1 account....2 or 7
you can still only log in just 1 of those toons at a time.

You get a top D weapon and 3 EAW scrolls at around level 28; this takes like 50 minutes to do; with 7 toons available you can feasibly get like 60 treasureboxes "for free" that's like a guaranteed 6 EA/W scrolls up to A grade or several hats; plus 5 million adena "for free" from quests alone; and you can erase 6 chars and repeat it again the next week.
On a newly created server, that's a lot of money at low levels.
Oh and I bumped into Piotress in game, though didn't say anything as he/she was just standing around.
I doubt that since I have not been in game yet today, and my in game name and forums name are not the same plus I am never standing around.

Whats stopping someone from creating 20 free accounts and doing the same thing (transferring everything over to the one character they plan on keeping), without having to wait the week to delete a character?
Ok, then someone is using your forum name in game on Chronos.
I know who you are talking about, my original character name used to be the same as in the forums, but with the first server merge I lost it to the player you saw because I did not reclaim it fast enough.
If you want me in game look for Pirotessa on Chronos, I am usually hunting in Wall of Argos or Imperial Tomb.

time and lazyness; you go try to do it.
It's fast and easy but cumbersome.
EDIT: I mean; if you already have 7 characters under level 20; it's feasible to do; once you have one char over level 60 (wich is not slow now) you profit more from grinding on that char.
I'm being told that level 72+ you make 10 million adena a week on just adena drops, not counting full item drops; so you are at least 4 million profit ahead by grinding.
This in a roundabout way, is going to either curb the need for online adena (wich is expensive at the moment, for a measly 100m) or provoke a superinflation in the coming months; but since nothing under A grade is profitable anymore in the long run; who knows.
No official response either means they're waiting to roll out a paid upgrade to free accounts on the new servers or they have zero clue why the server admins set it that way and no one is telling the community managers why.
And yeah LordChaos it's fun & nice to see those familiar faces again, i guess you never really leave Lineage II ... the more you try, the less you succeed ... there's really something about this game that other MMOs dont have (apart from the horrible forum community ;) )
