Hello, GM's.
Can't NCSoft making something with servers?
I mean something like Premium Account for thos, who want log everytime?
When game is for free, to login in it's a nightmare... :(
Logging in isn't *usually* an issue. Today is the first time I've seen the "server full" message in a long time. As for opening another server "to fill immediately," that's definitely something that needs to be done. If that server fills, it just means that another needs to be made as well. Population needs to be monitored and new servers opened up accordingly with free (or even pay, since I'm sure plenty of people would jump at the chance) transfers. It would ensure people can login at peak times guaranteed and at the same time open up crowded hunting locations. Server population is going to drop off at some point whether it's from new servers opening, or people rage quitting about it being overcrowded and broken, which at the moment, they're quite right about.
Priority wouldn't really work, since that would require an old pay player to bump someone else offline in order to sign in. Also, it wouldn't be fair a little ways down the road for someone who hasn't played in years to take priority from someone who has consistently played for a few months during free. Especially for any of the noobs who have bought cash shop items. They should take a page out of a few other mmo's books though and put in some different channels for the daily quest areas. That'd be nice.
Hell, even a 30/60 minute afk boot, which I've always hated in games, would be helpful at this point. When you have to wait for the server to fill and crash, or a reboot to knock out the afk's, that's kinda humorous. The NcSoft plan of not having a plan, always ends up working out for them though. I see them turning a hefty profit out of everyones frustaration.

For LOL server? :)
BTW.
From that i heard - in few others MMORPG existing Vip Accounts for thos who want pay and get some benefits from this.
Its hard implement something like that to L2? I don't think so.
I think that NCSoft was not thinking about so much players, so it's suprise not only for players. :)
I don't know why everyone keeps just saying "go" or "bugger off" when such questions come up. Is it too hard to comprehend that maybe such attitude is not going to work well in maintaining/keeing a healthy community level?? Basically cutting off your nose to spite your face I'd say.
That said, NC can't just up and start new servers without considering the consequences of such actions. Ya, would be great to see 20 active servers running, but what happens if a new server is launched, then the big rush of F2P players subsides and the server just isn't needed any more... here comes another merger (hope I don't see another one of those for a long time)!
These times are no different than Prelude/C1 (other than we were paying back then...). There was a crush of people then as now. Things will settle down a bit as the "newness" of the thing wears off. When that happens, a lot of you folks will be waxing nostalgic over how I wish it was busy like it was then... mark my words (as I've been there before)!
