Started to download the game, already had the freya client (not high-five or anything, the simple freya client) so I installed that, and am Upgrading to GoD from that.
Speed = 90 Kb/sec.
estimated time till its complete = 1200 minutes (or 19 hours or so)
haven't played in over 4 long years, so naturally, I wanna catch up.
Only reason I even have the freya client is because a friend of mine loaned me her DVD with the client since she's playing on a private freya server (me I just stopped playing after interlude)

ni de chiste =( llevo ya 3 horas y dice que aun faltan 1100 minutos (17 horas) y eso es tan solo para el Archivo 1 de 6, sabra dios cuanto pesan los otros 5 archivos. Este que se esta bajando pesa 6700 Mb.
Osea que son 18 horas para que pueda jugar, asumiendo que este sea el unico archivo pesado (que los demas pesen una tonteria como 100 megas) y asumiendo que mi velocidad de internet no baje ni nada de eso.

Not even close, =( I've been 3 hours and it says there's still 1100 minutes left (like 17 hours roughly) and that's barely for the File 1 out of 6, god knows how much the other 5 weight. This one downloading right now weights 6700 Mb.
That means 18 hours so I can play, assuming that this is the only heavy file (that the other 5 weight nothing, like 100 mb) and assuming my internet speed doesn't plummet or something.

Weird, I downloaded at 870kb/s from Australia two days after release (so there were plenty of people downloading).
Try drop by a internet cafe or something, and download from there on a portable hd or flash drive.
I think my download took around 45-60 min.
If only my country had such a glorious speed.
I'm from Venezuela, and over here, the highest speed I've seen is 110 KB/s. And that's at low-traffic hours like this one (12:30 AM right now) because at noon and afternoon is at 50 Kb/s.
I wanna play L2 now U_U (I knew GoD was coming, and I knew it was free, I should had started the pre-download sooner)

I agree that the previous color I used was harder on the eyes, but the one I'm using now is a bit darker. I just don't like black much :(

=( you wont see that again, I changed the color to something more presentable, feedback regarding customized posts is something I appreciate, but it could always be presented in a more pleasant way U_U

Este es el foro oficial de L2; siempre ha sido así de agresivo, si jugaste antes deberías saberlo. No te voy a decir "novato" ni nada así, y aunque a mi no me entusiasma mucho el PK ni ser así grosero en los foros, siempre me ha gustado que ESTE foro en particular siempre ha dejado ser mucho más directo, abierto y honesto sin tener que andar cuidando de no herir sentimientos.
Acostúmbrate mejor.
Ahora de lo del juego, pues ese es el problema, yo mejor me bajé el instalador completo de High 5 desde que anunciaron eso; te estás tardando un montón porque estpas actualizando de Freya a High Five, y de ahí vas a tener que actualizar a Goddess (o más bien, el NClauncher lo va a hacer) y LUEGO va a actualizar los dos últimos parches que hacen falta.
Y sí, el de 6 y cacho de gigas es el archivo más grande y los demás son relativamente rápidos de bajar, pero de todos modos vas a tener que hacer dos actualizaciones efectivas, lo que lleva más tiempo.
