Hi guys, I just saw that a new US server opened today and I want to ask/discuss is it possible/planned to open a new EU server for new players too?
I reading the forum and other non-official forums and I saw a lot ppl speaking about they don't want to come to Naia (Euro) server because 2 thing:
1, Huge Lag in every evening
2, The Server is Opened in 2010 October
Maybe if NCSoft open a new EU server more ppl come to official and Naia's lag problem (also NPC lag problem) will be solved.
BTW: Sorry if there is another topic about this, but I did not find, thats why I opened :)

It's been asked many many many many times before. I wanted this too but as far as I'm understanding no one from the GM crew is giving any answers to this ever and probably because it's against the deal they made with Innova. That's what other players have written in the forums the last two weeks.

I just saw random post about NCSoft do not have rights to open server, etc. But thats only complains. If it hasn't than why Naia running?
Also saw complains about Naia not full, believe me its full, but unplayable due too high traffic, so ppl just log off.
With one more EU server there will be place for the new players, and in my opinion the players from Naia won't change server.

Because Naia has been up for a very long time, now and there are accounts started years and years ago. They cant just shut Naia down.
Not opening any new server is Not the same as not shutting down the old one.
Okay, I see, but: If they won't open new EU server Naia will be totally unplayable for the players who have accounts since years.
Than there is no point of running a server for the old players if they can't even play on it.

I didn't "open" as a new server.
NC can't open a new EU server, since the rights to do so are sold to Innova.
I said "in my opinion".
Anyway for the 10-20%os the new players will still choose Naia becouse it has a lot of high lvl users and thats a kind of guarantee for active players.
Who have High lvl char --> won't start a new one --> stay on the server (Naia) --> There will be active players --> There will be server population :)

That part was obvious from the very beginning.
I have university internet connection, thats about 10 MB/s (not Mbit), also have a very good computer, so the lag isn't my fault.
Big latency is not always caused by slow net. Sometimes you can have uber-net and still lag.

Let's see. NCwest and Innova made a partnership by this partnership European players can play on NCwest servers and American players can play on Innova servers.
Well, good question, why the NCwest or NCsoft thought, that European players want the Innova. Yes was talked on the forum, that the F2P system what the Innova use much successful, but it doesn't mean, that the European players want the Innova.
Also I guess the Innova's European server work in illegal forum, because the Frost isn't allowed in many European Union countries and the server in Luxemburg also most of players on Core server from any European Union country.
We players who play from Europe can do two things mostly:
1. Make a petition what with we request the NCsoft, that open a new EU server or change the timezone of one of new server. Also we can request them to take back the servers to Germany what also help solve the lagg problems.
2. We try spend a lots of money in the NCwest store and if they will see, that it is successful business if they business with European they will more motivated about the European community.
For all those wanting a new EU server:
Just have patience, let NCSoft to do their job. I am sure that if they will see that a new EU server will be needed, they will open one. We just have to wait. Meanwhile, you can all play on the new US servers.
I don't how innova have 14 server in Ru, but in Europe... oh god they can't do 1 single good server, i play there because of Eu time and friends.To bad i have all the time spikes(3-7 seconds = stun imo) , text dosen't work,and you need PA(limited slots) to play night, and if you change your minde about 85 awakeing you have to buy stone of destiny.The think is im from EU and have better ping with Usa. I don't know it's... seems that most of europeans play here. ImO Europe it's faild.

True, thats why I'm 100% sure about the lag is from server side.
And about lag one more thing, the serious players won't go to US time servers, because the active players want to be part of the game's main event like siege, raids. They rather won't start playing.
For the ppl who say its still possible to be part of the main events just imagine that a European Clan should get up the middle of the night to play a siege :D That will be a masscare :D
Edit: About biggest L2 communities you are right Wasted, but thats only the amount of players. Most of them won't pay a single cent for playing. The money is in the Rich countrys.

Nor server site...somewhere in the middle. I dont hava any lags on Naia... And my net is faaaaar from 10 MB/s...
