This needs to be adjusted soon. Many classes and hit the max crit rate and are being punished (limited) because of this restriction. A good friend of mine has an archer and the first round of getting sub skills he added to his crit rate only to find out that his crit rate was maxed and he was not getting the sub skill. It also takes out the option of getting a crit +++ hat. Unless having a 500 crit rate means that every shot you crit it should be increased.
Nukers are not limited in M att are they? Then why would a dagger or archer be limited in crit rate?
Matk is not the same as crit rate. Matk is like patk except one(patk) scales linearly and one(matk) scales exponentially with damage.
And no. 100% critrate is a terrible idea with lineage 2's combat mechanics. A crit already does several times the damage of a normal hit, If it was just double damage and capped at that, sure. but when it's 7,8, 9 times the damage of a normal hit. hell no. That is a terrible terrible idea.

probably shoulda checked what the cap crit rate was before he tried to boost it w/ sub skills... cancle sub skill and pick somthing else.

pre GoD max crit power was over 200x (bonuses were multiplicative).
still is, just harder to get there cause of all the things that changed except game mechanics.
Nothing will change. No matter what. With 400 crit rate, i hit 3/5 crits most of times. So i guess with full 500 crit rate it will be even better. Also, archers/daggers hit much faster than mages. Remember even if a mage has full casting speed, the animation is still displayed and remember there's also reuse on magic skills so further more delay. If you know every hit will be critical then there's no fun in it. Imagine if mages could crit more often than now.
I don't know if game mechanics changed in this respect in the past few chronicles but a few chronicles back the crit rate cap could be bypassed by attacking from behind since that used to give a multiplicative bonus on top of the rest.
As I said, dunno if they changed that and don't feel like testing it, just something to consider for PvE.

I would imagine it's still there, cause it's still hard to hit a target that on higher ground :D
