When I first heard (last night) Bartz was being re-made, I had a seizure of ideas. This lasted maybe 10 hours of white board scribbling, web research, annoying friends on vent, patrolling ti for griefers and staring at the wall. Two main ideas took shape.
These ideas both relate to enforcing NCSoft's policy against for-profit players - those who play with no other goal than to sell adena for real life money, and who employ bots and account sharing to accomplish their goals. Nothing replaces the petition system, but hopefully we can lighten the load.
The first is as idealistic and unrealistic as the first farmer crusade we attempted when the game first came to North America.

Idea 1:
*****
1 red for each hunting zone.
As the community levels up, 1 person chooses to stop leveling at the cap of each zone. As an example, a nuker or archer would need to get him/herself to 55, train all skills, then become permanently red in cruma. This person would need to be self sufficient and enjoy playing l2 as a perma red patrolling for bots in a specific zone. It would be thankless and frustrating and would stop trains from leveling before they get started.
Under this model each person would need to create a forum post declaring their intent to pk only bots in a specific zone and would need to tag up under one universally known crest. The post would need to be translated by community members into Portugese, Russian, Spanish and Chinese, and it would take time for the community to understand and hopefully accept what is being done.

Idea 2:
*****
Make no attempt to control the behavior of other players outside of the petition system. Watch the population grow and evolve as it did 6 years ago.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
In the event GMs become overwhelmed and Bartz reverts to what it was (those who were there remember), populations from the other servers would coordinate on the forums, choose stacked and devoted endgame players to go perma red, then transfer en-mass (once server transfers become available). With coordination and community agreement, it would be 3 months of for-profit players being completely unable to generate adena. The perma reds would have to stay behind and randomly clear zones with support from the Bartz community once everyone transfers back where they came from. The Bartz community would have to take it from there with their own reds.
This model could be applied to other servers if successful on Bartz, and supports NCSoft financially via the paid server transfer service.
It fails in the event the Bartz community rejects these notions of fair play, or if no agreement on what constitutes cheating can be reached.

Thinking out loud, I don't think idea 1 would work well due to the language barrier right now. It would take months to get everyone on the same page. It also requires 10 random players to give up their toons and go on a crusade for fair play while spamming macros in foreign languages and ignoring server politics. Too much to ask from someone that isn't paid.
Feedback and better ideas are the reason this post exists, so please post some.
If you are able to type and translate into a foreign language, please do so, and the original post will be modified to include translated text. Portuguese translation needed asap, please.
Idea 1 if we could get everyone on the same page. It would have to begin Now though so people understand the purpose. Get them used to it from the beginning rather than try to get everyone adjust after they get acustomed

I don't speak enough languages to do this. Option one would have to be pulled off by someone better educated and more disciplined than me as i am now.
If you don't play bartz, reserve your name there, please. Consider it doomsday insurance for the farmer's return, should it occur.
Is there a need to buy Gold/Adena in the game the way it is right now?
I mean so far (Grade C) the path of Awakening has been providing good XP, SP, And Adena, plus Gear etc.
Coming up with 2.5 million adena to level a clan to rank 2 is relatively easy for any group of 5+ and gets easier.
Now, there is the Auctioneers for various things and that maybe where people people need to raise adena for.
Suggestion:
However this maybe solved by a few small changes in the system.
Like Bonds of Investment for instance. I saw that in another F2P game and it worked quite nicelly.
Maybe these Bids Auctions could work with bonds.
bonds can be created with Adena, AND/OR, Bonds could also be part of some Microtranaction Package from the L2Store.
Meaning that if players with to spend real cash so they can attain an advantage in the game, they can spend that Cash in the NCSoft store effectively eliminating Third Party Sales RMT.
If priced right in the NCStore it can make it not worthy for RMTers to bother, and it could create some additional income for L2 for continued support and devellopment.
Currently Farmers are advertising 10 million Adena for 40$ or so or 5mill for 19$. The Store could made 20 million Adena Bonds, for 1$ in the store.
These Bonds can only be used for bids in the Auctioneers etc ,cannot be exchanged for Adena in game.
But it seems at this point that this is the only reason why people maybe tempted to buy Adena in the first place with real cash.
