I tried playing Lineage2 a while ago and it drove me nuts not being able to invert the mouse wheel.
I completely understand that it just takes time to get used to, but I couldn't be bothered. I came from games such as Cabal Online and Silkroad Online and they have the zoom in and out the opposite way to Lineage2.
I figured I would open a thread and ask how to do it, and this is the response (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=224122) I got.
Nothing but a bunch of flaming and trolling, which is disappointing to say the least.
So I thought, screw it. I have made an application that runs in the background and inverts mouse wheel movements for the Lineage2 window only.
You can download it from here (http://www.*********.com/?oc6m0yrz89s1459). For the paranoid people, feel free to virus scan the application and post the results here.

But like I said, since you decided to not read the post, is that User.ini fix wasn't possible at the moment since I've yet to find a program that properly re-encrypts the file in a way that doesn't crash the client when loading.
Your method may work, but personally, I'd rather wait till I can fix it via the user.ini (plus there are extra binds I want to put in for my mouse since it has 8 buttons on it).
Yeah but your solution modifies the client which is a gainst the rules and should get you banned, his doesn't.
By your argument, changing settings in game (which then modifies settings within these files) is modifying the client and by your argument, warrants banning.
Just because Dear Leader NCSoft has not seen fit to include a checkbox for "invert zoom", does not mean it merits punishment for doing it ourselves. It's hard enough getting NCEast to fix bugs in a timely fashion, let alone add more options for users to better control the game without resorting to third party software (I could easily use my mouse's software to invert my mousewheel, but that might be cheating according to some).
nice initiative, but it doesnt quite work. not shure why because i made a glovepie script that does essentially the same which also stopped working for some reason.
Maybe it's in the game settings like hardware cursor or fullscreen or starting the script before/after l2, i haven't pinned it down yet.
