I have seen the same guy in the same place botting three sollid days on Chronos in the swamps. You think any GM has done anything?
on chronos 90 % of the toons hunting in GOB out side goddarad are botting i watch a few orcs they run to town to get npc buffs then rune back out all orc destroyers with almost same name and pet out.
10-15 toons with same names almost problay some farming company ?
Whats nc soft gonna do ban them... so make a new account for free.... ?
BOTS are comming in mass cause they have nothing to lose gear is free 1-76 with awaken things.
There is nothing NCsoft can do to stop them i fear.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know all those players are bots? I'm sure some are; hell maybe even all the ones you are talking about are, I don't know either. What I do know is I've been accused quite a few times of botting because of my play style.

Usually I can keep it so that as soon as I kill one mob the next is respawning, and so on and so forth. I'll also usually get it down so that I don't even need to spam soulshots, so this way I can go on almost indefinitely without ever stopping. For me I find that to be quite relaxing and have stayed in an area before for 4-5 hours in one going.

There are ways to detect botting such as targeting a mob just before they are hit by the bot and the bot immediately turns away and goes to another (this is affectionately called "Bot Pong").
Going in a circle in the same area without buffs and no SS is, imo, beyond human endurance. If someone paid me i might be able to do it for 4 or 5 hours but not 24hours per day per week per month per year.

When you target a mob,the bot changes their target automatically(but yesterday the bot i met was ksing on my mobs too :confused: ),you talk to them and dont speak,you flag to them and dont respond to anything,when a certain point of their hp is reached their healer uses heal,they go to pick up all drops from around,etc.It's ez to detect ^^

What you're describing sounds more like someone who's just boxing and doesn't care if you're in the area. A lot of people that dual box will swap to heal when needed, silly not to, and the other characters just auto follow the one so it looks like a bot train. Many people won't, or don't want to, PvP while grinding because that's just potential exp loss so wasted time. And if you came into an area where they're already grinding typically they will KS you if they think/know they'll out damage you because it can/will force you to move on so they can have better grinding. All sounds like a typical boxer to me not really a bot, as stated above bots tend to re-target when you target their mobs, but not always.
As far as them not responding, I know I don't have white chat on in any window except all so perhaps they're just not seeing it or just don't care to respond to you. I box too,and i see everything around me,i'm not blind.Yeah all these things u say sound legit,but when i used to pk them,they used to sent me pm after 5 hours or so saying me why they killed them,or when you pk them they stay at ground for hours.
Yesterday i was nuking a DA i thought he was botting,MC him to around 200 hp or so and he kept doing his thing.I then hit him with attack and he respond to me by doing what he did to the mobs : Hate,a skill like TSS,and started to attack me.I took 2 pvps from that,but i guess the "legit" player just didnt know how to program his thing.
And imho everyone who doesnt get angry at bots or says that is a typical gameplay,he's just botting himself.(That ain't for you)
I certainly wasn't saying that particular person wasn't a bot, your extended description kind of seals that they were or just really dumb. But the other stuff you mentioned doesn't make a bot.

That's why they need to ban ACC first time, if same IP get's another ban, IP ban or MOBO. This way in no time we would get rid of gold farmers, at least part of them.
And u cannot stop banning just because ppl will start again. Starting again takes time from them and make them lose money.

the only time bots would fear the ban hammer is when gmspam was part of the lineage2 team. He had a whole war on botters and made a it funny when he baned some well known toons.

Bots are very troublesome and can certainly affect the overall enjoyment of the game. My first suspicion is when I see the exact same player in a determined area for more than 5 hours. It's not that much of a good reference, and many do have the patience for it - though I don't - but it's a start. Seeing players sticking to an area that is unfruitful once you reach a certain level - for the low XP gaining - is paradoxical for me. If I start to bother the suspected bot and he/she/it doesn't answer me, I certainly cogitate the possibility of bot using. But I might as well have been ignored. Still, an actualized game protection service could block the most known bot programs, couldn't it? The vast majority of player that uses bots have a sickness called dishonesty, per not say worse things.

What he said that most people don't give a *-*-* if you flag on them. A lot of them don't speak any English so they don't respond.
Bots are part of l2. I don't see you complaining when you can buy mats in town. I'm thankful they are here it cuts down on the time I spend spoiling random **** needed to craft things. Name the last time you saw a farmer at a castle siege post prelude.
I don't like BOTs, but seems like it's allowed....
So...i'm in disadvantage here...keeping pushing the /attack, clicking in the terrain to move and get some targets, using skills...and so i got tired and get some rest....after i come back ppl out there got like 2-3 lvl more than me and so on...in 3 or 4 days they're already 10+ lvl in front, i'm not a machine and i think machines should not be welcome to this game, but hey they are..
And no one needs to say any 3rd party program here. I mean, lol, i have heard of names IN-GAME that i never imagined they exists..any fool can type on google and find out thousands of diff. progs. names...and f.kn download them.
And i stay here, playing the hard-way while programs keep rolling rolling rolling...getting tired already.

There were no mat farming bots anymore pre-GoD, nobody cared about mats. I don't thank the bots for farming mats, I blame the devs who designed it so you needs mats again.
During drop and turn-in events like the current one, the amount of bots skyrockets until the event ends. There will probably always be bots, but there's many more than usual right now because of the event.
