I can't get anyone to reply to me in game at all... Even after I get invited to a Kama thing I state that I'm new and want direction, I don't even get a reply. The lack of in-game interaction and the lack of any sort of online info will kill this game. I tend to be a sucker for this stuff, but this game is making it hard to play.
Some Ppl don't talk to you because since the game went F2P,many kids have joined and they can't speak english.
And the others just don't give a ***,they're rushing to lvl up ,being low lvl is like a curse in this game.

This is a weird game. It's been ftp for only 1 month. So there is no loyalty build up yet (if there ever will be).
Everyone who logs in says the same exact thing (me included); "How do I get WSAD to work?" Lol, then when they find out they can't, they leave the game. Why this game didn't go ftp a long time ago I'll not know. It's pretty but OLD. Lagg and getting booted all the time such a beetch. But I'm staying on for a while cause I have my personal reasons worthy of another thread.
So the beginners' zone is full of noobs not sure if they even want to play and non-English (wat language they speakn???) so you're not getting any responses.
I try to talk to people if they say something next to me in game. But I don't know how far the say reach is. Mostly tho I'm reading quest text and by the time I see someone has asked something they've already logged out.
this game requires quite some skill from the player to be useful in parties so pickup parties are not common. people are used to only talk with their clanmates sadly.
also i doubt someone will create new characters just to chat with the newbies.. they will to farm mentees though but i guess these toons won't have time to chit chat.
And secondly if you look at server statistics they were very constant for last two weeks.

That's another thing! L2 forums are few people and FULL OF TROLLS. But it's cool, man. Trolls are easy to ignore once you spot them. As old as this game is it was really graphically pretty. Worth fooling around with in ftp. There'll be new games out in 2012 &14 so I got time to dance around here till then.

you havent found the right people to play with.
my suggestion is to try another server; if you were on Shilen, maybe move to magmeld or Chronos.
Chronos will have a lot less new players and a lot more established players who know what they are doing and how to guide you properly.
then again, there will be big gaps between you and everyone else on Chronos. so count your costs and take your risks.

From what I have found, this game community is like most. With the exception that there are just tons of people who do not seem to speak English. And I am of course referring this to other mmo's that is the English/American version. I'm guessing this isn't? :confused: A bit lost on that one.
Anyways, that in itself is probably one reason you might not have as many people replying to you, as someone else said. But all in all, I have had the same experience with the community in this game as almost all the other ones I have played. Which is a ton of p2p and f2p mmo's over the years. Way too many to list here. You have your jerks and there are also the friendly, helpful players. What you will find in all games.
The first question I asked in chat in this game after it launched free to play was answered by nothing but sarcasm and rude people. Just asked if a dark elf could do another quest for the pet wolf since it was bugged for that race.
On the flipside, I have done a few kamalokas now. The first one I did I told the party leader that I had never done one. Didn't ask for guidance, but did want to let him know that I had never done one before. He was very helpful. He gave me some tips and helped guide me through it. The other two I did went fairly well also. Most people were friendly and helpful.
Now the next one I do, I might have your experience. You never know what kind of group you are going to get in a pug. You can just always hope to get a decent group of friendly and patient people.
I wouldn't give up on the community just yet. There are some friendly and helpful people here. :) Give it a chance. Maybe going to a server like Chronos might not be such a bad idea as someone else said. It's an established server with an established player base. Good luck and hope it gets better for you.
