Getting started on L2 - Retail Forum Archives

Hi all.
I'd like to start playing on L2 Official. Is there any new (or not that old) European server or should I go to NA? I heart that players from EU have big laggs on NA servers (like Magmeld,Shilen etc.) and I don't want to play like that. Can you help me to recommend a good EU server with high population? (I prefer new servers but if there isn't any, an old one would be good too.)
Thank you for the help.

Crate a char and check our lag.
Also Battleping or similiar things like that help to reduce the lag.

Battleping will update his software to put a 7 days free trial per account.

Well NCwest is here mainly for the NA community.
The only EU server they have is Naia and that is because they didn't want to turn their back to the existing EU customers, they don't have any plans to open a new EU server. Naia is also not hosted in the EU but in the US. Thats why you will have lags.

Innova was handed the rights to publish the EU servers. So if you want an EU server without any lags and is actually hosted in the EU you should play on the Innova servers: www.lineage2.eu
The main server is 1 week old now and they will probably open a new server soon seeing as the current server is constantly on heavy, and has about 5k online without dualboxes.
