1º The official eu server is Naia, the rest are us. The problems with Naia is that is a 7 years old server and it's really hard to reach the old players in terms of adena and items. I'm playing in Magmeld without any lags, playing from spain. In my opinion the best servers to begin are Magmeld and Bartz, since bartz is the last server and have the lowest population. Of course u can go play on innova european servers, but it looks like a private server managed by a 12 years old kid, so it's not really a good choice.
2º The game is really free to play, in the shop u can buy some xp boost items, buff items and visual accesories, but nothing that really overpower...
3º Since Goddess of destruction and quests, it is not so hard to level, of course u still have to grind, but its nothing compared to the old times. For example, you can reach 85 lvl in one month easy. About the community.. there are about 4000-5000 players online in each server, you can find friendly people, and real as*holes, like everywhere..
4º Yep. but it's not an good option, point and click is the way to go in Lineage 2.
5º Play whatever class you want to play... and do the wolf quest at level 15, the wolf is really helpful at higher levels.
I'm a new player from EU, currently downloading the game. I have some questions:
1) What's the best server for me to play? Is there EU servers with low ping for us?
2) Is the game really Free to Play now? What can you buy from the item shop?
3) Is it hard to level? I don't like to grind/play alone, is the community friendly?
4) Can you move with WASD instead of just point and click?
Also if you can suggest me class/race for a beginner or give some useful infos i'll appreciate it. Thanks!
1) i'd suggest you any server, as all are already full... but you can try the new ones... magmeld or bartz
2)Free to play it is yeah!
3) it's kind of a little bit hard to level... just always follow the chains of quests ..and then you will see from yourself what it takes to xp... :P (infinite farming)
4)you can move with WASD... but it sucks!! it's useless and not well designed for linege... you will use click and go... for sure
for good pve try: sps, splh, sorcr, warlord, for pvp: all mages, orcs, arhers, and orc mages. Anyway players with aoe skills like mages (except orcs) and warlord(because of polearm) are always good for xp!! You should try for yourself and get some experience
