Boss jewels - better or worse than R jewels (90-95-99) ?

Epics have always been the best jewels so far, because the owner gains a supreme boost when being attacked by stun/hold attacks etc... But since we were introduced to the R grade jewels, I' ve got to say that I have some doubts whether they are still the best. My point is that epic jewels may still be great when somebody gets attacked with skills such as stun, but R grade jewels provide the user a much greater m defense than the epic ones. What I don' t know though, is whether with the launch of GoD, the epic jewels provide the owner with a greater m defence than before. Could someone enlighten me concerning these matters??...
better question: how much Mdef do you need to withstand an Anakim attack? a noob might ponder aloud - perhaps a few thousand, and lots of buffs....

well youre half right.

Mages in GoD at lv 99 have regular nukes with he SAME power as the Anakim transformation.

knowing this it can be possible for a Fire attack and Wind attack from the same mage, or a pair of them.

so you will need all the elemental resistance you can get, to withstand these nukes - not so much Mdef but it does help.

in short, the new Antharas, Valakas, Istina and Octavis jewels will be the new flavour of good end game jewellery. Istina and Ocatvis jewels have all 3 flavours of ring, earring and neck, too. so real raid teams who can do these often will be well equipped to deal with any incoming mage attack.
Hm... Thanks again for the information! However, you stated in another post of mine that a Feoh Wizard is the most overpowered class ever, which is in contradiction with what you stated just now: "They will be able to deal with any incoming mage attack".
any singular mage. group pvp dynamics are far different. also if you look carefully at the jewellery posted, you'll notice a missing couple of elements.

Hm...What you say now is that mages will be very useful in clan wars, territory wars, raids etc, but in PvPs they won' t be as good (what I consider to be the most important :P).

As for the elements, yeah, I noticed that wind and water elements DO miss... Should I focus on enhancing those 2 attack attributes then??...

whats pvp for you, killing mobs?

PvP for me is 1 versus 1 (when having to do with real characters).
IIRC element is no factor in PvP anymore since GoD.......

Didn' t get it . What do you mean exactly??... What is this IIRC element?

Duels or PKing is NOT PvP

TW,Sieges, Clan Wars are PvP

I was referring to 1 versus 1 pvp style. I rarely take part in Sieges, Clan Wars etc, because it becomes impossible for me to handle the lag.
boss jewels with low mdef for pve, jewels with higher mdef for pvp.
1 vs 1 duel
tank vs feoh
i take off ALL jewels, and as soon as mage start casting, activate reflect dmg and gf ;)
at 97 level i will get ignore death buff which enchanted +10 should stay ~20s on me.
this buff, reflect dmg and no jewels should give me lots of fun against anakim or feohs
if dont want to loose - learn to play

right now i sold all epics i had and am looking to get jewels from oly/tw, or top R grade for higher mdef. until then i am going to wear old vorpal or new bound immortal

IIRC = if i recall correctly

PvP in Lineage II was not, is not, and likely never will be balanced for 1 vs. 1 fights. It's at least a party vs. another party.
