Now i don't expect anything to be done about this as for a number of good years lineage has been run by bots, but i just had to get this absolute knob cheese on here.

Tell me to reroll? sound answer...
well you can't force people to party you if they feel they have better alternatives so ... yeah ... reroll
you know, I started this game in the harberings of war chronicle and was a prophet myself, and with each chronicle it got nerfed and nerfed, while the orcs buffers got better and better, so i ragequited, then interlude came, and pp was given the mana burn skill, i used a pp again and went full pvp nobody would stand against me because mana burn was "overpowered" lol... then in next chronicles it got nerfed even more... so yes you should rerroll to another enchanter, you'll get the same skills when you awaken so... make an overlord, it is pretty easy to lvl it up, or change to another class, because NCsoft seems to don't like prophets
PP is a dead class, all buffers will become iss enchanters, so why do you like to suffer until 85 with a PP if you can be happy with a Bladedancer or WC?

Not only that, human has terrible racial skills for Enchanter.
i can solo with my Great Wolf well'ish enough so im ok atm

You should not justify what that guy did though.
Sadly koreans play way more prophets than dc or overlods thus why prophets keep geting nerfed while the other two keep getting boosted.
I would say reroll, but if you dont want to lvl a wolf, you can prety much give it all the buffs except for vr and it can dd for you, you can also get decent gear since you have all the armor masteries and dd yourself with newbie buffs, or get a mentor and always have buffs and dd urself up in lvls.
Also once your wolf is higher lvl you can go to silent valley where mobs are specifically made not to atack pets and only atack the masters, all you would have to do is root the mob (just dont atack the archer mobs) and send the pet in.
Just remember, once you reach enchanter lvl, everyone will want you in party.
Just remember, once you reach enchanter lvl, everyone will want you in party.

Only that the warcryer they took instead of him will be a level 90 enchanter, while he's still trying to grind with a wolf.
Just reroll, really, it's going to be huge amount of time wasted with human. I mean even if you started a WC/OL/BD/SWS, you would still hit level 85 faster with them, than with your level 67 prophet.

PP's were teh **** in C1, when there were no "newbie helper" or herbs, people would eat each other over 1 Prophet.
once you reach enchanter lvl, everyone will want you in party.

lol, almost all has a boxed buffer, and with this update - their number increased, NC just killed alive buffers... All lf tank DD healer,. no one need random chanter - they already boxed one or found in their clan/friends
PPs really are the worst Enchanter class now adays. And with mentor buffs there really is very little point to have a PP in party. The only buffs you can put on are Element resists, Zerk and Greater Might or Greater Sheild. Of which you can get those all from WC for the entire party at once and then the WC can do damage afterwards. The PPs got the peirce attack but it really doesn't help all that much...
I have always been a Prophet since just after the open beta, I simply love buffs.
However after a while being one just became unbearable, noone wanted to party with one and soloing was to hard as one. So I eventually quit, came back a few times after a chronicle update to see if anything had changed for the better and it hadn't. I never made it to the 3rd class change into a Hierophant, until the GoD update...

With the GoD update, healing has improved significantly, even so much that the cleric level heals on the Prophet actually are pretty decent, more so with a caster weapon.
It has made soloing alot more possible for my Prophet, especially if you adapt your playstyle to the situation.
Until lv 80 you should be able to solo pretty decent if you wear heavy armor and use a good melee weapon like dual swords (which would also prepare you for when you become an Iss Enchanter, because they have dual weapon mastery). With a Great Wolf buffed up with your buffs as your pet your killingspeed would drastically increase, just remember to not have him tank all the time because they may have incredible attack power, their defense however is really flimsy (even worse than you in robes!).
Also, the passive skill mana steal only works when attacking with your weapon (even with a bow) to recover your mp, and if you reach lv 80 as a Hierophant the same thing goes for Piercing Attack.

Once you can get Exp at Silent Valley, it is a great place for Prophets/Hierophants (and Shilen Elders/Saints for that matter) with a Great Wolf, as Pumuky said. The monsters there have an ability called "Searching Master" which has them ignore pets and summons completely, all you have to do is use Dryad Root on them and then send in the Great Wolf to attack (and if you have a bow you can help with dealing damage that way). Just ignore the ones that deal ranged damage (Giant's Shadow) because they will still attack you when rooted. If you have a good enough melee weapon and heavy armor you won't even need to do all of that and can just fight them together with the wolf (The lv 76 and 3rd classchange path of destiny reward rewards you with 90-days lasting dynasty armors and accessories which are good enough for this).

After level 78~80 and/or if you don't much like soloing, your best bet is to make friends who can tank or kill quick to duo/trio with, because our buffs are pretty much good enough for a duo/trio and we have the additional benefit now of being decent enough healers for emergency situations (wc/ol at least suck in that department except for healing themselves with Steal Essence), spamming battle heals can save the day, as long as your duo/trio doesn't overdo it.
At 78+~80+ Bloody Swamplands (Teleport from Dark Elf village -> Swamplands lv 85) is a great place to duo/trio for exp, the exp from the monsters there is very high (probably because these monsters were meant for the Awakened classes), just be careful because they do hit really hard, and the bleeds and poisons are very nasty.
I am even able to solo the boxes and arbitors with a bow and Dryad Root enchanted to +12 (my +12 root still fails almost always on the cerberos there though), it's really slow but at least it's something to do until you can get a duo/trio, and they hit to hard to melee even if you wear heavy armor, and you can't send in the wolf because they will just kill it in a few hits when rooted because they attack anything attacking them if they can't reach the most threatening target (you) in stead. Attacking them from the back (after they are rooted) helps a bit to negate the mystic's penalties for using a bow, you deal more damage, miss alot less and deal crits more often when attacking the back.

Getting mentor buffs is a great help and our Berserker Spirit, Holy Weapon, Greater Might or Shield and the Resistance buffs stack with them.

Just remember, we'll never be able to kill monsters as quick as any other class, our skill setup just doesn't allow for it, Prophets/Hierophants are the ONLY class in the game that learns NO damaging attack skills in those class stages, despite the fact that the healer classes do. So to do any kind of damage to speak of we are stuck with melee combat (or a bow if you are willing to live with the mystic's penalties for using one) despite having the stats of a mystic until we become an Iss Enchanter (all Iss Enchanters will get their race's Fighter stats, so Hierophants and the Orc Mystics will change stats).
To put it simply, we are a class that requires patience and determination, alot of it.

As for people saying that we are the worst of the Iss Enchanter possibilities because the human racial skills suck for them, I beg to differ. We'll be the only Iss Enchanters able to get ourselves out of a stun(/hold/poison/bleed) and immunize against it for a couple of seconds with one of the human racial skills, which at the right time could make a difference, especially since Iss Enchanters don't get a stun resistance buff, the Aeore Healers do.
Once you can get Exp at Silent Valley, it is a great place for Prophets/Hierophants (and Shilen Elders/Saints for that matter) with a Great Wolf, as Pumuky said.
That one is not true. SE/EE/bishop can easily nuke their ways up until 85 and Silent Valley is one of the worst places I've been to. The mobs there got insanely high magic attack, so if you're an SE/EE/Bishop, you would have to use either pet or Toy Knight. Which is again, not worth, because you can easily nuke at other places.

I disagree, I had alot of fun there with my prophet. The Exp is not top of the notch perhaps, but they drop truckloads of adena and materials.
Also, I only mentioned the SE, not EE or Bishops, because like Prophets the SE have root, and I was referring to the root + sending in wolf trick, not the Magic damage SE can do ;)

And one of the repeatable daily quests lv 75~79 is for the SV mobs ;)
Healers are good in solo with the inquisitor nuke, are you sure about leveling a PP with dual swords with so little STR? would be better to make a BD and play in that way since lvl 20, BDs really play like a Iss enchanter since the beginning: attacking with duals. WC is good due to infinite mana and good Vamp nuke.
That guy was a jerk, that's how far it goes.

You should really just leave him with that.

Playing a prophet from zero in GOD is one of the most extreme challenges you can come across :D

That's why I mentioned the part that playing Prophets require patience and determination.

Also, some people like me may prefer playing a human toon.

Playing a Prophet has many disadvantages, sure, but some people actually like a challenge as well, even if most of the people nowadays would prefer an instant win button on their keyboard ;)
PP/HP is the god of buffer. And as a tank, I would love to have HP's mental shield and bless shield especially in a raid or war. And I really think that there's no better buffer for a tank than HP.
EE's also got mental shield and even the combined shield buff.
On top of that they can solo pretty well with their Inquisitor nukes, heal a lot and also recharge. Thanks to the insane amount of holy pomaders they can also learn Balance Life, Salvation, Stigma, whatever you want.
Therefore prophets are at huge disadvantage here.
Just remember, once you reach enchanter lvl, everyone will want you in party.

There are so many enchanters now, it's more like "every enchanter wants a party, but only a few get one". We now have all the BD, SWS and buffers competing for the same single party slot. It's the same problem for all the Cardinals, Eva saints and Shillien saints, but at least for the harder xp spots you need two of them per party. If you want parties, go tank or summoner or whatever else, but not enchanter.
Now i don't expect anything to be done about this as for a number of good years lineage has been run by bots, but i just had to get this absolute knob cheese on here.

You need to be the party leader and create parties. If the DD doesn't like that you're a prophet, then tell them to F off and dismiss them from party. Always friend invite people that you like playing with :)

If prophet is a class that you really like playing, then go with it. If you don't like it, then reroll.

Welsh Steel (http://boards.lineage2.com/member.php?u=163235) remember magmeld and shillen are full of ******s that came from 5000x server so they just think buffers are useless cuz they can't kill or because they can be boxed for ++buff only but pros know that a main buffer is 100000 times than a box especially in highlevel and in pvp these things really make difference (save your lol 5000x server history i don't care noob)

so welsh if you or any other SE/EE/PP/WC/OL need clan and constant partys in magmeld send me a pm with your ingame name to clan you and assign a party to you. We love main buffers and support them ,) there are ppl that still knows how good a pp or any other buffer can be in a proper party so don't desperate
@Frankelot I appreciate your knowledge about PP :)

Though they are saying many bad things about PP, I wont let down my hobby for playing a solo PP~
Nah, just let ppl say what they want. The most important thing is your playstyle~

To put it simply, we are a class that requires patience and determination, alot of it.
^ Really really like it ♥

p/s: Don't run around with ppl... Enjoy your own style and experience the world~

Edit:
And what did you want when you play PP? Wasnt it helping another without any contract? WC and OL must have a contract to "help" another!?
Nah, stupid~ Help is spontaneous and invaluable!!!
That was a rough reading what that guy said, I had no idea it was so bad. I box my prophet she is now 73 and my hawkeye 74. I would put my prophet away and take you around and exp for you, if I could. Don't give up, there are players out there like me who would rather enjoy someones company than play by themselves all day. I just refuse to level without buffs.
It is a shame because prophet is the BEST buffer class of all, they just need Vampiric Rage to be complete all in one buffer. People are just impatient and cannot wait for a prophet to buff the whole party. This really hurts a prophet in PVP situations.
Sadly koreans play way more prophets than dc or overlods thus why prophets keep geting nerfed while the other two keep getting boosted.

As I have stated in many thread, this is probably due to the cultural difference.

PP was never a solo or pvp character. It's there to aid other party members get stronger.
We know exactly what our roles are in the party and are usually never selfish, but tries to accomplish the group goal.

And those of you still thinks that Orc buffer is better than the PP in party till lvl 85,, come on.. wake up.. Orc buff got much better than before, but If I have to choose one to get buff from, it's definitely PP buff.

Well trained pp gives the buff to whole party before even you realize that it ran out. WC is just good for giving it all at once. Well trained PP doesn't fall behind.

Don't matter how long you have played.. if you still think WC is better than the PP,, you are still newb.
Also we'd never kick someone out in party just to get someone better no matter how better the other one is.. Another cultural difference.. So selfish...

There's gotta be a reason.. ;)

Unthinkable in Korea..

Not just for tanker, for all classes if the PP/HP knows what he/she is doing..:D

yeah but we 're not in Korea are we? Just cause Koreans do something one way doesn't mean it's right. I still remember the first Antharas raids we did in Gustin 6 years ago. Koreans were zerging the hell out of it bringing eleventy bagillion melees. We did it more efficiently. Our playstyle != korean playstyle and none is better, ours is more efficient yours (theirs) is more community driven.

Oh, so you walk backward when others walk forward?

Don't be trolling..
Only the open mind can make things better. What the hell has anything to do being over there and here? We are playing same game after all.

Do you drive imported vehicle any differenly than of those makers? Why should the game be different?

Not ever once in my thread I said Koreans are better. It's always YOU guys that brings this up.;

I always try to give you a different point of view. Don't be so tunnel visioned.

I never say who's better because I don't know how you guys do things. Review all my thread, not even single thread I said we are better.
How the hell can you judge that you do better when you don't know how we do it? from the limited numbers of poor video clip? come on.. wake up.
Why so sensitive? Different cultures, different gamestyles. Why do we have to copy/paste everything Koreans do? And to extend you analogy with cars, just cause the British drive on the left side of the road doesn't mean all Aston Martins in the world have to driven on the left side of the road too ;)

PS it's probably a language thing but you are taking issue with things that just weren't there in my post

Well, wehter you guys admit or not.. many of the things you guys do, you copied and learned from us. Many who posted know how here translated what we have posted and most of what you know are thought that way.

Don't be in denial.. Most of the things you do are already copy/paste of what we do. You know why? It's same game we play. Don't matter what you do you end up doing it almost same. We just do it first.

While doing so, you guys thinks of yourself only when we think of us. That's the only difference.

With you guys, one might get huge reward and smile, yet other might be crying. With us, not alwasy equal but we try to.
Well, this thread is getting off the track..

PP rocks!!
You have to love some of these F2P people. Some of these people are the rudest people I have ever met, in any other F2P or P2P game.

Been here since open beta, btw and tyvm.
You know **** well PPs are dead ... hypocrites

I want to see you go on a siege or any kind of intence and long PVP with a PP instead of a WC. Just imagining him buffing the whole party one by one makes me laugh so hard, while the same thing will take 6-7 seconds for the WC and everybody are good to go.

This could be maybe even true on the new servers. However on Naia where most higher level people got mentor buffs and if then, then they just use milk, then having a prophet gets really a waste of slots. WC can at least deal nice damage with its infinite mana.
what's up with infinite mana anyways? such an op class -.-"
I play as a SE with a constant party made by my clannies: a Bishop, a Prophet, a Swordsinger, a Tyrant and a (still lvling up) Phantom Summoner. Not so efficient, not so grindy, but it's fun.
And guess what? The Prophet is always required to buff us all ;) and plays as a DD with dualswords. Even with the future addition of Warcryer or Overlord, when we'll have one, I would always party this friend of mine ;)
I just happened to play a Prophet years ago and I loved the class, so I'm trying to encourage people to play whatever they like, not whatever they think is more imba.

Well, if your party would have mentor buffs, then your prophet had to do two buffs maybe.
And I'm not trying to say to kick the prophet because it's useless, I just wish they added something else to them. Since they've "taken" the role of buffing from them and healing is for cardinal, it'd be awesome if they added some skills to them. At least the Inquisitor ones that all healers get. Or maybe something melee physical.
Mentor buffs or not, I always invite my Prophet friend. At least Berserker Spirit is useful for many reasons ;)
I too wish that Prophets are more...indipendent, to say, but like the cultural differences Destructor spoke about, maybe it's us Western people that have less the "play-as-a-group" mentality and more the "play-solo-and-eventually-search-parties" mentality. Or it's just that people hate someone doing almost nothing (damage-dealing wise) for 20 minutes

Well, your friend might be lucky then. However not everyone starts a game with his friend or not having such helpful mates around their level range is quite possible as well.

As for the not taking a prophet has nothing to do with cultural differences, I believe. It's just that parties are efficiency based. You take useless people in your team instead of someone who can deal nice damage, then you're wasting your own time as well as everyone else's time in party.
To DisasterDave,

leave Magmeld, and come to Chronos. We're a clan with a number of UK players (me included) and whoever is in a party that I lead stays until they want to go.

I have had parties with 2 SWS, 1 PP and a Dwarf.. sub-optimal XP group? probably,
fun? yes.

and that's what it's all about. as long as YOU enjoy the game, play what you want.

As for the f2p dross who demand you leave, tell them to grow up.
You know WC also has zerk right?
I know, but as I stated above, we actually don't have a WC for now (a friend is lvling up one). And, as stated above, I don't care if a class is "useless", I invite friends in parties in order to have fun, not to win the "catching-up-with-the-dominant-clans-in-Naia" race.

Well, your friend might be lucky then. However not everyone starts a game with his friend or not having such helpful mates around their level range is quite possible as well.
Funny thing is, he was already 56 when the rest of the clan started playing. We lvled up quite fast to catch up with him, and we're lvling up together since then.

It's just that parties are efficiency based. You take useless people in your team instead of someone who can deal nice damage, then you're wasting your own time as well as everyone else's time in party
We like playing for fun, not for efficiency. Games are supposed to entertain the user, after all. ;)
We like playing for fun, not for efficiency. Games are supposed to entertain the user, after all. ;)

Of course. I'm just merely pointing out that some of us could find end game far more interesting, than being stuck multiple as much time on level 75-84, just because it takes a while longer to kill mobs if you're sacrificing a damage-dealer slot for a class that's basically not doing anything until level 85.
All this dislike/hate for the Prophet is really unbecoming! The Prophets need love, not more hatred!

It's true the Prophet is one of the hardest if not the hardest class to play (alone), but that makes this class perfect for those who like a challenge and those who like buffs but prefer playing a human and not an orc (or either elf).

In my humble opinion Prophets still make a better partner for small parties with 2 or 3 maybe even 4 people in stead of a Warcryer, especially if everyone has mentor buffs. Warcryers are better for large parties, for the faster buffing up everyone at once. And you won't have to constantly look for an Iss enchanter to buff you up every 30 minutes, of course this counts for those of us who don't multi-account/box.

In GoD Prophets are like a combination of a "weaker" [Cardinal + Warcryer] in one, you get most of the buffs and you get decent heals and resurrection.
Prophets still even have a few buffs the Warcryer doesn't, they can increase your Max HP and MP generously (Overlords have these, Warcryers do not), cast several resistance buffs to help against bleeds, poisons, mental attacks (e.g. hold, silence) and elemental damage, increase shield defense and holy weapon, all of which you would need another (healer)class for with a Warcryer.

The mentor buffs render alot of the buffs useless, but the Prophet's Berserker Spirit, Greater Might/Shield, Holy Weapon and the resistance buffs stack with them and they can still heal as well, while the Warcryer only has the buffs equivalent to Berserker Spirit and Greater Might/Shield and can only effectively heal themselves with their Steal Essence.

Also, Prophets now have better Dexterity than Warcryers while they have better Strength and Constitution. However, with the GoD update and the new stats every Warcryer and their mother has changed battlestyle to infinite casting of Steal Essence now that it recovers mp as well, so their melee stats have become a bit useless, while the Prophet still depends on them and with the better Dex they should now have slightly better attack speed, physical accuracy, physical crit rate and evasion than the Warcryer.

And when finally reaching awakening, former Prophets/Hierophants will be the only Iss Enchanters with the ability to remove and temporary immunize against stun(/hold/bleed/poison) on themselves thanks to one of the human awakening skills. Iss Enchanters do NOT get a stun resistance buff, the Aeore Healers get that.
i lvl a Wc and cov is the best :) not stupid pp

I raise all these with my eternally online mentor. :P
i don t need this+this+this = cov

CoV = PoF except that CoV gives +20% max HP and PoF gives +20% max MP. While IC gives +35% max HP and MP, so the Prophet's PoF + IC combination is better than CoV alone, and Prophets can keep casting their Group Heals every few seconds, which can be empowered by bsps, to heal the group ;)

And Prophets can level up alone too, it's just slower and needs effort not just boringly pressing/holding one button for 20 mins long (Steal Essence) until either needs to rebuff ;)
Just got my prophet to 85 after weeks of suffering.

You have no idea how weird for it to go from a spy/duo character to everyone and their mom wanting you to log-off your main account and play play your boxed character instead.

Enchanters are so good for group PvE/PvP.

I tanked a wizard in Arena yesterday for 10 minutes using CC, heals, and UD skills.....while wearing Black Ore jewels.

Oh man. Feels good to not be useless again.

Because in a land far far away warcriers didn't have windwalk, or zerk, or VR, or resistance buffs. In fact WCs didn't get their good buffs till 60+ while prophets had full basic buffs at 56. Which now seems like a joke, but in C1-C3 was srs business.

Of course....it is a joke now.
I hear ya. I dual boxed a pp back when i quit playing this then-****** game, and i could never get him in party's. That's when i decided to make a WC..

Then i found out mp regen from melee and steal essence and it was GG.

Not to mention male pp look like michael jackson - god rest his beloved soul.

The biggest mistake made by Nc: they just tried to balance the game for 85+ tons(in fact, it is a bit more balanced). But for those ones who are 85-, the game still is awfully and crappy unbalanced.

I think L2 should start from Level 1 not 85, maybe my hopes in L2 devs are dying(or they're already dead). Is it time to wait for Lineage Eternal?
"TO ALL THOSE who say PP runs out of mana, has to stop party for buff and is lacking buffs you are talking out of your friggin &ss!

I've been in top floors of ToI for many many hours, i can buff party while they are hunting and when i have finished buffs resting afterwards it takes me on average 10-15 minutes to return to full mana and with this i can root/be sub healer until rebuffs are needed again.

ALSO

a PP can cast Mental Shield/resist bleed/resist poison but more importantly Mental Shield. I have won the members of my team 5 pvp battles with this buff, aswell as me rooting and word of fear.
I was also able to save a number of members when the Healer got stunned with Battle Healing etc etc but thats just the Healer being bad i guess (but the archers in ToI 11 stun random target or healer i believe). When your in a party up there or anywhere else for over an hour aswell who is going to Bless your HP/Mana AND which team do you think is going to come on top after an hour of play when it comes to general safety against pve/pvp.

The last paragraph a WC is NOT able to do.

whoever requires VR in a party with a BISHOP/CARDINAL is just plain lazy and just bad at there class and that is fact.

Magmeld is full of kids who need to grow up mainly..."

Quoted from another post i made.

I would just to say thanks to all the support ingame from a few people, i'm doing excellent though with my great wolf whos very strong, 8 more levels till Fenrir ^_^
You need to be the party leader and create parties. If the DD doesn't like that you're a prophet, then tell them to F off and dismiss them from party. Always friend invite people that you like playing with :)

If prophet is a class that you really like playing, then go with it. If you don't like it, then reroll.
"If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse." - Jim Rohn

And remember, if they got the stone of destiny, they can reroll to healer once they awaken.

If the PP isnt already too high, I would reroll it, I doubt many parties nowadays bother with PP's. Even EE's are having trouble finding parties that work well according to this forum. Adding PP as buffer to that is just a big wast of time.

Make a Warcryer. If you really like buffing and helping your party.
Not ever once in my thread I said Koreans are better. It's always YOU guys that brings this up.;

I always try to give you a different point of view. Don't be so tunnel visioned.

I never say who's better because I don't know how you guys do things. Review all my thread, not even single thread I said we are better.
How the hell can you judge that you do better when you don't know how we do it? from the limited numbers of poor video clip? come on.. wake up.

Prophets cant buff VR. What do koreans do? They all wear Zaken+Antharas?

At least they get buffs from pretty girlfriend chars right?

I guess you know a lot about the Lineage 2 game mechanics. According to you, having 2k+ more patk makes no difference ^^ So awakened summoners shouldn't be using a bow and/or transform, but instead a mage weapon. Also, according to you Counter Critical is **** but you end up levelling a prophet for it???

So whoever is wondering whether they should make a warcryer or prophet, go for warcryer; because Smittie is an expert at Lineage 2 game mechanics and he thinks warcryers are awesome! ^^
