It was an exciting tw till a low level appeared and in my blindness I shooted him.
-720 rep, oh my god, after reading all the threads about being pking I was think once donne it would be a nightmare to clear it up.
It wasnt, sure I wanted my tw reward and took me 3 tentatives to get into dion to get my tw tokens, guards are now much more powerfull, only R grade may kill then now.
But what to do now? I tryed to leave town and guard get me again.
Btw I am a lvl 73 :P, with a little help from a calnmate he gave me a few crystals to be teleported to him. I went near schuttgard and found a nice place with level 70 mobs to start clearing my "bad karma". I was expecting to take me like 1 hour for a pityfull death. But no... It only took me 10 minuts!
Thats right 10 minuts to clear 1 death! How? Fighting mobs that doesnt show many resistance to your class, so i was there 1 to 3 shoots every mob and fast cleaning karma, each one gave -7.
If you guys dont believe... its very easy, find someone kill it and clean =)
Well most complaints were from players at the lower levels unfamiliar to the changed system. And without the summon friend skill it was a little harder to work of the rep. If you can get teleported to a nice clean area it gets easier indeed.
Also I believe the higher your level more negative rep is cleared per kill, and a lot of the complaints was coming from low level players that only lose 1-2 points per kill.
I pked a bot at level 25, unaware of the new changes to the pk system. I then immediately got attacked by some random guy, so I killed him too :P
I then had 1600 karma. Each mob in my area reduced karma by 1. Moved to an area with 2x hp light-red mobs, now it takes away 2 karma... I'm killing 4 mobs a minute on average. Gonna take me around 6.7 hours at this rate....... I'm gonna be such high level by then that my quest chain will be missed up too. I'm gonna lose out on a lot of quest rewards and experience - unfortunately.
The amazing part about it: it's actually smarter, time-wise and financially, to just start a new character - by alot.
i am in same vote lol, i tried to help the people i was partied with, when some angry rude players entered out room and killed one of ours so i attacked one of the loud mouths, i have been off and on again when i can solo areas without buffs killing -4 rep points per kill was 700 now 289 frack me lol

Honestly pre-40, I would suggest anyone who PKed on accident to just re-roll unless they're extremely attached to their name. It only takes 2.5 to 5 hours to get to 40 based on your class, provided you follow the quest chain from TI all the way to Wastelands.
Post-40, I'd generally say it's up to you decide. But the system is generally fine -- for those that can't afford the risk of PKing, avoid the risk all together. Negative reputation is burnt off pretty **** easily once you get used to the system.
Isn't the rep you lose depending on the exp you gain from the mob? Thought I read that somewhere but can't tell if anyone confirmed but some mentioned it gets easier at higher levels.
Gz, hope u gonna atend more such accidents cause cleaning up karma is so easy at high level, and then you gonna drop stuff like and x-mas tree after soneone finds you at your cleaning up spot, cause gl with gettin rid of your pk count :p
And i fully understand the frustration of lower lvl characters for which there is better to start a new character then get rid of karma. When they dont know anyone to help them get to exp spot, and takes them many hours of killin w/o any exp gain to clean up the karma.
And if you didnt noticed it in the past yet, it used to be always like that, the higher lvl u got the easier karma goes down.
Here's what you should be doing when you receive karma at low levels:
DO NOT REMAKE CHAR, instead go bot the **** out of the game.
It's f2p, why should we, the player base care about NCSoft's rules when they don't even fix their own broken pk system. Just remake new account if you happened to get reported and banned (likely hood low).

assuming no one tries to kill you, i died 2 times, once getting killed and another running from a player dieing to mobs, so you got lucky
