Hello there, I have a question for some of the advanced WC/OL out there.
leveling without buffs is REALLY hard on this game, so I'm contemplating the idea of suspending leveling my lil warsmith for now, make a WC, level that WC to 85, awaken to iss enchanter, and then mentor my warsmith with the enchanter (will be on separate accounts)
Now, warcryers level MUCH faster than warsmiths due to their absurdly powerful drain, but I noticed that it doesn't get updated anymore after lvl 74.
Using Steal Essence at later levels like 81 or 84 is viable? does it still do decent damage to maintain an efficient soloing? It would be a shame if I get to like 83+ and then can no longer solo because drain either keeps failing, or does negligible damage (Like when you use Wind Strike at lvl 30, it'd just be a waste of mana)
Any advanced OL/WC that could tell me just how effective drain is post 80?
buy/farm lesser giant codexes and click on enchant in your skills window (after 76)
and how high should I enchant it for it to remain effective AT LEAST till lvl 85? (I dont plan to level that toon after I awaken it, I just level it, awaken it, and use it both as a mentor for my warsmith and as a buffer too)
+13 (ie 80 learnlevel) should be enough, but it's a gradual process, you don't go for +13 at 76, you try for higher as you level (+9 at 79, +13 at 82 etc)
get in active clan and exp will never be your problem any more
I am in an active clan and EXP still is a problem (Even though they have a CH on aden).
its hard to get parties when:
A: you are a class that offers no support (Warsmiths deal considerably less damage than just about every other class, and have very little buffs (other than the ones for weapon and armor) and of course can't heal)
B: When everyone else is over 70 but you are still on your low 60's.
Warsmith is not a party character like a WC at higher levels, therefore, people don't look for you.
WC is actually welcomed in a LOT of parties. I have found myself in parties that required WC cause some people are on their subs or dont' have mentors online. Specially at GC.

exactly.
Some classes are bad at soloing, but are gladly welcome in all groups (Sword singers, tanks, healers), others are good at soloing AND are welcome in all groups (Warcryers, mages, pole users), Others are good at soloing and not welcomed on groups much (berserkers, soul hounds, and other solid DDs who lack AoE)
and then there's my class =( that not only sucks at soloing (very low damage) but also pretty much not welcomed at any leveling party, unless the group actually wants to carry me. My class provides nothing to the overall performance to the group.
Buffs are mediocre at best, and easily overlooked without much problem. Damage is quite posibly the lowest for non-awakened classes (Perhaps the only class that deals less damage would be the prophet).
:( I need a mentor and I need it badly. Since none will volunteer for it, I'll make my own mentor, with an easy-to-level class like the WC.
Ye, without a mentor you're hardly gonna reach anywhere on an aceptable period of time. My soulhound still gets spots on parties but now at 80lvl i get some of the "i want better DD" replies, even tho i got death mark (enchanted) which is like a second stigma. Without buffs i'm pretty much screwed anywhere.
Also you'll prolly have more chances to have a mentor while ur on a WC since they know wc are powerful and easy to level nowadays (solo or group). And guess what? In the end, not only you can mentor yourself, you can fullbuff urself with iss enchanter buffs to further boost your lvling capabilities.
