It's quite easy to know see which chars made a quest. Same goes for knowing which char made a quest 50 times.
So if they don't fix this, its because they simply don't care.

its has been asked of ncsoft and it appears that it is working as intended. Apparently it is ncsoft's idea is to get 85+ within weeks now with this quest
This is why weeks ago when new servers came out I suggested not even bothering with them. Unless you're on the bleeding edge of progression theres no difference besides packed newbie zones, and under-developed market.
Not excusing a possible bug, but yes that is how fast they want you to level. Even outside of this bug there are multiple strategies that will net you similar exp gains in a small amount of time.
For instance going from 80-85 for me I was making either .05-.4% per mob depending where I was hunting. The moment you get 85 that comes back down to .005 per mob and even less without mentee. The only reasoning is that they want the majority of the population in the 85-99 range.
1. every single raptor is camped by 10 other people
2. aoe nuking 5 of raptors will not increase item yield 5 times, you are better off nuking them 1 by one, this way to will get 4-5 items instead of 1 or 2
3. running to the statue and back takes more than 1 minutes alone
you can have a summoner near the statue which would summon you every 2 minutes though but you'll go bankrupt on summoning crystals.
if you are a melee, you have lots of options to get 85. for mages, thats only this option
True. I did the quest a few times on lvl 77 it does help. Over that lvl it's useless.

10 mins XP in swamp with a decent pt >>>> attack silren quest.
Probably ppl suck at making parties so they get 1kk XP every 10 mins, but if u have a bit of brain and make a decent pt, u get a lot more than 15kk XP in 10 mins.

Well, unless you're mage that onehits them, you'll most likely end up raging because of the mages that onehit your mobs.

But the mobs are totally overcamped, KSing going on everywhere, so you'll probably have a hard time finishing that quest in 10 minutes. And at the same time you could just go altar or swamp and get ca. 1m xp (bit more or less, depending on your vit and bonus xp) PER MOB. Heck, you could even go there in a duo (to make it a bit safer when you're still lowish) and still get great xp.

yeah you 'd have no money or element stones but ... you 'd be 85 and get access to the cool content

It's not like you would get a huge amount of elemental stones or money if you were grinding all that time in GC/DV.

precisely, besides on the new servers especially the difference between those that squeezed in first into 4th class and those that didn't is huge. It may not be that huge a deal in Naia and Chronos but on the new servers ....
even if you're a nuker and you do the quest fast, you get low exp per quest after lvl 80
it's a full place because it's THE ONLY PLACE WHERE MAGES CAN KILL, we can't do this "in 1 minute".
there's about 10 places to fighters hunt, where mobs give 300~400~1kk exp PER MOB and they have EXTREMELY STRONG M.DEF.
AND I DON'T SEE ANY NUKER CRYING HERE ABOUT THIS!
a Gladiator from my clan lvled from lvl 81 to lvl 85 in one day hunting solo in Bloody Swamp...
good lucky trying to lvl from 81 to 85 in one day doing Attack Sailren quest in that place with 100+ ppl lol
