Whats going wrong with all those bots shouting 24/7 their url & prices for 100M adena? :confused:
Maybe I am the only one who thinks those guys **** and are rotting the market to the bone :confused: ... I know GM's can't do anything concerning that but anyway, that's gonna ruin the whole game if it isn't already ruined.
But why GMs can't do anything about it? Can't they just ban those ppl? Aren't there any in-game rules in official?
I have played in private servers for many years and I have never seen sth like that. And if someone makes sth similar, he gets banned on the spot.

1. there your time and adena doesnt have any value
2. here, they can ban them, but farmers will create another thousand accounts. Ban them every 20 sec, right?
maybe trace adena, and ban all related accounts ? initiate legal actions ? dunno ... there are 2 things they come up to mind ...
I know, they get the chars that are shouting banned, couse they are allways diferent names, so they have a bot to make char, and put to shout. So banning this chars no way. i almost convinced they are scammers, i dont believe someone has all that adena to sell, and if they have, and GM are not seeing this, well, you are right to be afraid.

all games i play they spam like that on L2 they get kicked straight away on other games like RS takes about couple of hours.

Because the adena on your private server is werthless, here they have thousands of potential customers. Banning one would take about as much time as takes to create a new account, so the problems not that simple. If you rly feel your private server is so superior to official (based on the sum of your posts) then what are u doing here?

At least did you visit the site to see what is it about? They are a pretty big company devoted on doing this as a job and they dont only sell l2 "gold". They sell "gold" for several games. It happens in WoW, Mu, Ragnarok, and in several other games with massive players.

all NCsoft has to do is not allow shouting or public speech till lvl 15. same thing with making a store. those bots arent being "played" they'll disappear for the most part.

And why do I have this feeling that it's never gonna implement it? :) Lil bit of a conspiracy theory here, I know, but this is how I feel. What if NCSoft is BEHIND the botters, and THEY are making money on the side, apart from l2store, hmm? :)

From what I understand, there are scripts for bots to run the first quests to get you to 20, so I don't think them having to get to 15 would be a problem when you can do it so quickly.

so make it higher. not hard of an idea to build on.
If you played Lineage 2 in the past you wont wonder about anything in that game. Wehn i quit some years ago there were about 150+ bots in dark elven village hitting the guards to delevel. In the swampland (low lvl area back than) you hardly could find a mob, cause there were 100+ bot groups devastating the area ^^
So for all complaining: it didnt get worse in free 2 play compared to the "good old times" ^^
sry if i am getting off topic, and i dont know abot you guys but I am getting sick with this lag... bots are the least of our problems at this moment

I wonder why they dont ban the site name is easy to add in forbiden words list if they cant write the site name his job is usless
Two reasons:
1. The code that blocks forbidden words is client-side. Not server-side. Botters and spammers aren't using the official client, so this would be pointless.
2. Have you never seen this occur in other games? It takes the spammers about two seconds to obfuscate the URL/name somehow to get it past the filter. It's basically impossible to stop em.
