First you guys say that the subclass quest has been replaced and you need to get it in Talking Island. The NPC name you guys provide is wrong and there is no new quest, you have to do the old ones still.
That ****** me off a while back, but I decided to give it a go and try completing them anyway before TWs.
So I went to TOI with my clan, killed all the bosses (Quest bosses or whatever), got the 30 blood stained cloths, got the 982 b-crystals and then Rorin asks me for a B-Grade weapon. At that stage I thought "well, let's go to the luxury shop". I found it rather surprising that none of the B-Grade weapons that he requests are there. Bound weapons don't work either so you need to either get one from a drop or craft. Which got me thinking: "how idiotic is this?"
You guys change the whole "meta-game" so we don't need to farm monsters that drop the weapons long enough to get the parts, even. You give us weapons through the path of awakening and insert "bound items" into the system, and still not change the quest?
How tha heck are we supposed to complete it if NO ONE farms in the same place long enough to get a weapon like that? We have NO WAY of completing the quest. There is NO ONE on bartz selling a top b-grade weapon like damascus, there is no one crafting them, there are not enough materials and you can't upgrade b grade weapons through the blacksmith of mammon.
Even after the completly wrong patch notes, you make things even worse by not allowing us to finish the quest, leaving only TW as a viable bypass. This is beyond dumb.
So my question is:
How the heck do I finish this quest?
pick dual SLS as the weapon you want to give him, buy 2 regular SLS from the weapon store, farm or buy 450 sop, take the sls and the sop to aden blacksmith, create dual sls, complete quest.
and the quest is different, you are no longer required to camp the spawns of raid bosses, you have to kill quest bosses that any half decent 4th class toon can pretty much solo, plus they respawn in 5 minutes instead of you sitting there for days while farmers kill the bosses in the middle of the night
Well it's not that different if you ask me. I've done it pre-GoD. Yeah the respawn times are much better and whatnot but it's still ******ed.
And it's even worse for me because I already chose sword of damascus. It simply doesn't make sense to ask for a standard old-school b grade weapon to complete the quest nowadays.
well craft any other top B weapon (or buy one from the market if you can) and trade it at mammon for a damascus. Failing that I am afraid you have to cancel the quest and do it again (and yeah you lose the B Crystals)
And crafting B really isn't that hard, blades drop like candy in VOS, the problem is most people NPC them
I totally faced the same problem, i thought mammon can upgrade items, in this case i bought a keshanberk in hopes of upgrading it, but he remained silent. Same happened when i tried to upgrade from top c to low b - nothing.
In lineage 2 retail server you never can upgrade weapon class.
D grade can't upgrade to any C grade.
He meant upgrade from low B weapon to top B weapon.
You CAN upgrade a low D or C weapon to top D or C weapon from the BoM, but it doesn't work with B weapons.

Whups. Don't pick a weapon you don't have yet.
If you haven't completed the quest, you can cancel it and start again. That means you have to farm again, but at least you can pick dual sls instead and actually finish.
