hi please. my friend have a problem with pets (wolf and kooka) on Naia server - her name is Helondriela and she was on ToI 4. floor. She summon pet but there was some problem with server maybe and wolf was nowhere so she try to teleport to town but pet was also nowhere. Then she try restart nothing appear, port from town to town - nothing. So she try to summon kooka but same problem. Now she cannot summon any pet - it says pet is maybe dead for unsummon or something else. You cannot find him because pet maybe is in the ToI wall. But when I get a party with her i see pet with her but i cant target him (under her status).
please help - thx so much for your tips how to make it
I am Elemental Master and sometimes my summon i bug on and disappear. After that i can summon new one becoue of "Unsuitable terms" (i have Spirit Ore so this message means that i already have a summon) and when i try to Unsummon invisible "pony" i have info "You dont have any pet summoned".
After relog i have to wait few seconds or sometimes i have to click for example "Summon Magnus the unicorn" to get my summon back without buffs.
This problem appears from time to time but it is rare problem so it wil be hard to find it by GM's in surce code and hard to test it at all. Someone of support team have to play day by day for 2-3 weeks to see it by his own eyes to fix it.
Support team can't fix, they merely send bug reports back in Korea.
As for the pet disappearances... Yes, your friend's best bet would be login, wait at least 20 seconds and see if the pet is summoned near her character. NPC and game servers are separated - meaning that sometimes when the NPC server crashes only pets, mobs and NPC in towns vanish, while toons remain logged in. So, it's probably a delayed response from the NPC server that makes her pet not appearing immediately.
And when you port from hunting zone to town or town to town the pet is supposed to spawn near its master.
