NCsoft you need to start thinking about what is going to happen with your players, I am sick and tired of you breaking things every update, fix your stuff, update your hardware, make the game p2p I don't care. You may not care if I leave but I hope others follow.
Bring the servers down until they are fixed, stop half fixing the broken things, fix it or shut it down!

Yeah they need to take server down, fix the issues then they can start it as normal.
And why not make a server that people can pay to play on.
I would rather pay 10$ to play on a stable server then this useless free stuff.

My dwarf died 2 times due to lag today as i could not use any pots until it was to late.
So TAKE DOWN server til issue is fixed.
Meanwhile iff u are so bored that u HAVE TO play , make a char on another server til it is fixed.

No1 is forcing anyone to do anything and that is the point genius, the game has failed since f2p, maybe they can make a server just for people who pay for what they get, this lag, fail events, and constant bots is not anyone but nc's fault.
I'd go back to paying today if the money I spent actually did something. It's pathetic you want a laggy game still up... It's also sad you accept it..

The damage from this lag, is called moral. People will leave, people will not buy items from shop when ss doesn't work no matter if you have things you want to do. The game is pretty unplayable if you are in a party zone where the mobs are lvl 85+. So I will quote you "THINK!"
Btw this is a free game for you, but ncsoft still needs income, and that is why there is a shop, so telling everyone it's a free game, when someone is paying is ignorant!

Everything you say is now invalid because you cant even do a simple tire change yourself.

And how many people do u think they can have employed on a free server????
They get most patches from Korea maybe???
As we are probably waiting on a fix from Korea.
Would not be the first time they use Korea to fix this.

And i have seen lots of these issues happen on the old servers aswell(Lionna) now gone (RIP)

Iff they don't sell anything in the store they will have to shut down L2 as cost compare to what they earn will not be enough.
So hope they will sort this soon.
As people who have paid for stuff is not getting what they paid for.
Xp scrolls will loose valuable time for people.
U are aware of the difference in hardware on a server vs a normal Pc are u not??
And iff they translate one thing wrong it could make havoc on a server.

Im not but a friend is and it is not that easy to sort these issues.

That is not the same as running a server.
As there are lots more factors u have to think about on a server.
Different pc's running on server.
Iff that issue is fixed on one pc does not mean it is fixed on others.
I had at one point an MSI motherboard that only crashed the game,
Changed to Asus and not one crash.
Issues like this they have to look into.
So not one pc is alike unless people buy the same pc with same stuff in.
The last 2 days, community of bartz is facing a major problem that not only blocks the evolution of the server but also creates a negative picture about the game. Many gamers, prefered Official Lineage because there wasnt any major problems such as DDOS attacks , ss lag , major downtime , character wiping and others. Now, official is in front of many major problems such as Soulshot lag which is a very important and annoying situation. That way, there is no motive for people to prefer official instead of a private server.
We appreciate that official is made free and we can also understand the fact that GMs might not be so intrested as there is not that profit as before, however this should not be gamers' problem.
I hope you fix the soulshot bug as soon as possible so we have a smooth gameplay again.

Ok first and mainly the server's many bots.I was walking in valley of saints today and i counted like 10 bots hitting and hitting mobs i cant upload pictures cuz i dont know how to do so.. Ok i know that ncsoft made l2 f2p but still because of that it doesnt mean that gms should not "guard" a bit cuz there is no money profit..Please try "bot cleaning" a bit.
The second problem i noticed was a spirinshot-soulshot one, i put on my spirinshot on automatic and they stuck i hit without spirinshot,plus when i pick up something i first pick it up ( no lag or anything) and after 10 sec i see "You picked up something" above the chat box. I hope you check these stuff THANK YOU!!

a normal PC cant even handle the reading and writing on HDD or database at the required speed so forget it. also they have separate servers for different things like npc/mobs
This is what gets to me.... I have payed for this game since 2004 with very little break in billing. Now that it has gone free to play, all these snot nosed kids come to the game and gripe, whine, complain and basically want everything handed to them. I wish the community could be spared from these children, but NCsoft decided that this model of game would work rather than shutting down the servers.
When I first started this game there were NO guides, NO pop ups that told you what to do, NO adventurer guildsmen to tell you where to go, NO glowing arrow to point you to where you need to go for a quest, NO newbie buffer to help you level faster, No free soul shots, No double xp, NO vitality pots...drinks....cookies or lollypops........ need I go on? All you new players have it made, so quit griping and whining everytime you don't get everything you WANT right when YOU want it.
So what that the server has a hiccup here and there. Deal with it. Go outside....might do you some good. All this "I can't XP like this" "Fix the **** servers" "NC suxxors" is all not needed to be posted nor shouted out in game chat. These forums used to be for good info about how to do a quest by someone who just did it and succeeded for the first time and shared it with us. Now all you have to do is click quest and and there you go.
The GMs and Sace do not need to sift through all this drivel everytime something goes wrong after an update or maint. Its childish and it shows just what type people we have playing the game now. I wish the "new players" had to go from 1 to 20 like we had to....maybe they would shut up and and enjoy the easy life they have ingame today.

In this event players can't use soulshots, this event give to players old times of Lineage 2.
Since last update everytime im lucky enough to login, my shots keep turning off every time...and when they work, its every 4 or 5 hits.... and it doesn work if i turn them off and on again... pls do something about this...
GM's move the slide Dificulty from Normal to Hard.

On Bartz are huge lags,no ss,huge delay....the game is not playable..they are a lot of players who spent money on all kind of xp runes and cannot play...maybe an official post about this will be fine:confused:
in the whole day 0 news about it,they only added that stupid auto message in server,pserver got less bugs then offical and when pservers will have GoD,offical will be half full.
i thought p.servers are bad...but last two days show me that i am wrong...that welcome message with boots and adena is a lie.I see same boots day by day,same messages with adena selling..no bans...and now i saw that lack of intress from GM's..staf...about ss and this huge lag problem..i thought official will be nice....this is sad:(

It annoys me that, after I get back online after the maintenance, when my archer fires off his arrows, the soulshots work when they want to work and do NOT work with every shot as they are supposed to. Please fix this when a GM or someone else actually sees this.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Example : I'll fire an arrow and the initial shot works, the second, third and fourth doesn't, the fifth MIGHT work. They are activating in rapid succession like they usually do and it is causing me trouble killing things as effectively as I could.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy offical more than any private server, But ****, Private server admins have more development skills on l2 servers than anything from what ive seen, and that obviously takes more or about the level of intelligence of a 3 year old. But seriously guys. There is NOTHING that hard about hitting the switch and announcing "HEY GUYZE! REBOOT TIMEZ! FIND SAFE PLAZE DURRR!" And from what I'm obviously seeing, Most of Ncsoft's /care factor went out the window when there new pride and joy Aion came out. Wait.... I take that back, It's always been that way, So my only suggestion is, Ncwest, Why don't you turn you're lease back over or give it to another company that actually gives 2 cents?
A server restart it will not fix the problem they need a fix from koreans last maintenance broke the server somehow. it's gonna be like this for awhile.
Have you considered that the changes you made to the mysterious soulshot packs could be something to do with the lag?
Try removing all the previously tradeable, now untradeable items from the auction manager then see if the servers work again? Making item changes like that is bound to mess up the item server.

You'd think after 8 years they'd have skilled server techs that can figure the problem out while blindfolded. Oh wait, there is probably one guy that follows pictures with Korean captions on how to turn the server on and off and that's it. LOL
Last night while playing, I experienced almost no lag while out hunting, not even with soulshots. But today, everything seems to have experienced a major lag-boost. I clicked "send" on a mail to send something to my other char, and it literally took 1 full minute for me to see the result of that.
Using the Auction House is also a test of patience. Is the problem worse in towns or something?

You realize the game went free to play BECAUSE of a lack of profit, right? There is an issue, they are working on it. Don't buy any perishable items in the meantime and hope they refund anything wasted due to this problem. Honestly, people need to quit whining about making it pay to play again. If they left it that way, how much longer would it have been before the servers went down permanently?
We still don't have an ETA right now for the fix as we are currently waiting for the development team to provide one. As soon as we receive it, we'll let you know immediately when it will be implemented.
