So im not going to lie and say that I killed a bot or some other weird EXCUSE; I did PK. He was being a jerk and purposely annoying me and making my time playing less enjoyable so I took my own initiative and fixed the problem; so it is what it is. Now I haven't played L2 since 2008 and I come from pretty close to the beginning days of L2 so I'm old school about PKing and karma (i.e. someone rushes you or does something continually stupid you merc their face off and then simply work off the karma *not for fun cause that makes you a *******). *NOW, what I didn't realize on what I thought was a PvP intensive game that they have implemented a new PK/KARMA system. *I am lvl 29 so I thought It would be easy and man was I WRONG.
I guess my question is where should I work off this karma. *I don't want to re-roll even though its ****** easy to level now cause that to me is giving up and I also like my char name so that isn't an option. I appreciate your guys' time/input ahead of time!
ok to lose ur karma u have to grind it off by killing mobs it the only way now and u will need to find a spot that has no one else there or ur gonna get killed :(
This has been in place since Goddess went live, plus had you read the in game e-mails you got from NCsoft you would have know about it.
Unless you want to spend a few hours killing mobs at your level, and not getting XP while doing it, your best way would be to re-roll.

Not really, in the 7+ years I have been playing I have 2 PK points to my name. You don't have to apologize as everybody makes mistakes. :D

I ruined some ******* on my oracle but then I found out I had to kill over a thousand mobs (roffol) to work off my Karma, I rerolled on another server to keep my character's name.

Not everybody PK's in this game and since I do not even PvP the system does not effect me either way.
If I want to bother the bots I just drag a lot of mobs on them, beat on their DD until his HP is almost gone and then bsoe.. when I come back there are dead bots lying around; no PK and no negative reputation.
In Goddess you PK at your own risk, since I don't PK I am not worried about the new system nor do I care about how good/bad it is. :D

It makes no sense to work karma at that level, it will take you hours.
By the time you finish you could be 50+ in a new character.
But go ahead if you have time to waste.

at lvl 29 i got only one suggestion for you. Reroll! You will be lvl 50 from 1 untill you bother to cleanse the karma from yourself.
Take this advice from a guy who rerolled twice before 40, already :D
The good news is....at lvl 85 it takes about 20 minutes to wash the karma from 1 pk. However it is not the fault of people who have little to know pk's. You dont have to pk to pvp. The change in the Karma system is because of the people that hought it was funny to run around amd kill people then disapear in some safe place and die off the karma. To many people used and abused the system to grief people with little no pinalty.
However the system as it is now is not balanced and much to punative at lower lvls. So know you have the opposite issue with kill stealers and quest mob griefers. They have gone from one extreme to the other. There needs to be a balance, I can live with only being able to remove karma from killing mobs, but it should be scaled by lvl and not amount of xp mobs give. If I am wrong somone please explain the error since it takes hours at lvl 30 to wash 750 karma and 20 minutes or less to wash 750 karma at lvl 85.

Do you know that reputation gets lower depending on your pk count?
It may take 20 mins to clear -700 rep at 85, but by your second pk you'll receive -1200, and by the fifth PK you have to clear -2500 reputation, i cannot imagine how much negative reputation you get for your 31st pk.
So better never pk at all, cos it gets harder with sucessive pks.
Lololo do not change pk system, if people want to fight they should apply to clan and go to tw or sieges. Also you cna ALWAYS invite to a duel if you want to win fights. PK is for ******s/
Well I have some Pks now, some accidental (like i was just playing around and bang crit and 1 hit a low) and some other complete intentional. But I must say.. at the early levels is a pain in the *** to work off karma but hey.... how much exp can u lose? even in the worse scenario 99.99% since u won't de-level u do not have to worry. Before 60's even a level is really fast to gain again. And after 60's u can clean karma in 30-60 mins depending on how many pas you have.
At 80+ you will clean your karma in no time. ...
The only real problem i see here is the ridiculous high among of fame y need to clean a pk. 500k is just toooooo much for a single pk.
