I am sure as you peruse this site you will see alot of Negative posts from me, Is this because ima Troublemaker....or.....Perhaps i am a Unsatisfied Customer who paid to play for 7 years and now feeling like the people at NCSoft dont care enuff about this game anymore to really make proper fixes to the game to keep me around ( i alrdy know some of you will say "then Leave if it ******* you off so much", Im expecting it). But lets look at the BIG picture here, Like me, there are hundreds maybe even thousands of ppl out there that have paid to play over the years ( me myself started 6/13/04 and have 4 accts totalling more than $6000.00 up til realease of GoD) Is what is going on now over there at NCSoft fair to us ppl that made this game the sucess that it has become? Dont we have the "RIGHT" to *****, moan, and complain? ( without the fear they turn off support petitions) Dont we have the "RIGHT" to see something from our money? ( if ya buy a new car ya expect it to be new and not break down, right? ) Dont we have the "Right" to a fun and exciting gameplay? ( Free from lag and stupid **** incorporated into the game especially on Seige days and TWs { which is why alot of ppl play this game} ) Dont we have the "Right" to get a lil aggrevated when things dont work right? ( such as shots not working or 20-30 second delays ) Dont we have the "Right" to get what we paid for over all these years?....so i ask you all....am i a Troublemaker or ****** Off Client ?. I feel i have the "Right" to be aggrevated ( as do you ....and yes that even includes my enemies too ). I feel i have the "Right" to an unobstructed game day/play and D amnit, i want what i paid for all these years, im not flushing 7 years of hard work and grind down the drain and leave all my friends i have made from all around the world. NCSoft needs to seriously , seriously get their s hit together and quit putting ALL of US out in the pasture to rust away like a old pickup truck. This game could, in reality go on for another 7 years if the ppl at NCSoft really started using their heads and worked out the bugs and INCORPORATE BACK INTO THE GAME A PTS, BEFORE LAUNCHING ANOTHER UPDATE ( Yeah NC....learn from this mistake)......I want to thank you all in advance ( yeah even you Naysayers) for Listening and replying to this post as i am very curious to know if i am a "Troublemaker or ****** Off Client"....Caio, Hasta, Peace......Ishie :p
The "No PTS release" was a big mistake, the GoD came with too many bugs and crashed the system.
The NC team wasn't expecting any of it, like they weren't expecting the massive number of newcomers to the game. Thats why they only opened 1 server in the release, and in a matter of what? 2 weeks, there were a total of 3 new servers.
Then came bugs caused by new event types, joining with weird GoD bugs that were unnoticed before the events.
I've joined official on the release, the lag was immense due the "holy crap" number of players around, but i had no issue on any other kind, got some bugged quest, specially that one on Cruma that you accept it inside kamaloka etc.
Regardless of that, when L2 was p2p, the number of players was far less than atm, and there were only 2 servers, so, probably the main problem here, is that the same team that was dealing with those 2 servers, are now divided in 5.
As you can already know, many times, 1 or 2 servers crash, while the others maintain online, and later on another crash and another gets online.
5 different server, most have the same issues, but some have their own. and the staff might not be big enough (yet) to deal with so many problem in short time.
Fact is, every problem is being fixed, although the time for it, is absurd. But at least they try.
Even being a "professional" team, from a old-well-reputated company, it is still not easy, and also does not mean they have all the answers for all the problem.
I think that like most others here, you are making a bigger deal out of this that it is. It's called growing pains, and IF you'd have played all the way back in Beta and release this would be normal to you by now.
The game went from pretty much dead to full while at the same time releasing probably the biggest patch with the most changes to the game so far, OF COURSE THERE WILL BE ISSUES, it's part of ANY game out there
The problem is that we Americans (mostly) are spoiled and really believe that if things don't happen the moment it starts affecting you that the company doesn't give a hoot about "you", when in reality they are busting their butts off trying to fix the issue so that we can ALL play
Maybe it's age, maybe it's because I've played many games since L2 came out but random issues like this happen an get fixed all the time, and let's not exaggerate, while it's been a pain to play, we have been able to log in, and play, and XP and raid, and even siege with the lag and SS issues, so it's not like the game was "unplayable" in any form or fashion.
