Hey guys, I just got awakening with my sigel knight and I got 1 question. Which weapon do you prefer? Sword or blunt? And which SA? And of course explain why do you choose one or another weapon/SA. Thx for answers.
If you wanna bet on critical hits, i would rather advise you to get a sword with SA focus.
But if your race is a high DEX based or extra critical rate racial (like Elf and D.Elf) it might be a good option to go for a blunt, with the best SA in your opinion (haven't checked R grade ones, so dunno if any have haste, since that would be my option).
Reasons:
Sword have a passive ability of focus (every sword with or without SA always give + crit rate than blunt (only comparing with these ones, see below why))
Blunts, due lack of critical rate, they have passive ability guidance AND death whisper, this means, you have more accuracy and more critical damage.
If your playing a high crit race, it might be good to have a blunt, so you would crit much, but MUCH harder (and with knight frenzy, would even hit harder), but any choice is good
Having a sword can also save your life in vampiric drain, since crits usually are high numbers, you get a better drain
