I was wondering if players would be ever able to have an opportunity to re-learn a pre awakening skill. It's kinda frustrating that we can't test new skills before learning them and losing old ones. Will we ever be given the chance to change our new skills for old ones? I'm certain there are many players who want this to happen and I'm sure NCSoft can think of something.
So, that's all I wanted to get out, please don't turn this into a "This is a bad skill and this is a good skill" thread that wasn't my point.
NC has designed superior skills and expected us to take them all without any condition. The fact is there's some skill called "superior" but are a real loss for some classes.
The skill system intended you to take all new skill. So they won't do anything about that, I guess.
I would really love to get rapidshot back, totally regret learning quick fire, as I almost always forget to use it in pve. It's a great skill to spam all your skills very fast and do some normal hits but I dunno, i think its a minus for pve. I wish I hadn't learned that skill.
And if NCSoft wanted us to learn the new skills then they should have deleted the old ones automatically so noone would have to complain about not being able to test them and regret losing the old ones. Quick fire lvl2 is a nice skill, but it's a long way till I get there and I knew I shouldn't have learned it but then again I said, what if it's worth it? That's what happens when you don't have the chance to test it.
I'm sure NCSoft will do nothing about this, but anyway, hope they will.
lol man
All awakening skills are awesome and better than the previous!
Perhaps you could give some examples of some specific pre-awakening skills in compared with specific awakening ones
so that we can see your point..

Here's my point and again, we're not discussing skills here.
My point is we were not given a chance to test new skills and if there is a chance that we can revert the changes we made to our skills.
When I made my Bladedancer they were called Dark Gladiators. Obviously I had no chance to test it before I made him, and there were no skill lists on the internet, no manuals or other documentation. The class description said something along the lines of "supporting the party with dual swords". Obviously I thought (and my clan) that he just kicks *** with swords. When I hit 40 and discovered that I was a bard, not a warrior I was disappointed (although it didn't last long, BDs kick ***), but the GMs wouldn't roll my character back so I could be a SK.
So no, nobody cares that you have a skill that will soon be better than your old one, but you are moaning about anyway.

Easy! A good example:
I'm a dwarf : spoil sux now with a long re-use time, and we dont have mass spoil...so in party is impossible to spoil mobs 1 by 1 when we have AOE party!

Most skills which you receive after awakening are better even if the previous ones would have been enchanted to 30 !!!!
There are a few exceptions but on most the difference is small or not but it compensates because it joins 2 skills / more into one which leads to less mp consumption and less slots occupied by those skills .
But there are also skills which if taken change the way a class was designed and in a bad way . Yeah it gives a good skill but takes the skills which made that class to be unique .

Cheers.
All awakened skills are better than pre awakened, don't let some ignorant fools tell you otherwise, and yes I know I'll get flamed for saying this. Problem is these short sighted fools are comparing a lvl1-2 awakened skill to a maxed out and OEd old skill, so yes it looks worse on paper at first, but that skill has a few more skillups before it's at full power, and pretty much no one on the US servers has reached that point to show you, it takes some **** common sense for now to figure out

Hey noob, don't post when you obviously have no clue. How can someone from 2004 be so clueless? There are awakened skills that if taken basically require a reroll. An example is wizard's harmony, which has only 1 level, and takes away 2 combo rhythms that make an enchanter OP in Oly and makes a party much stronger in pvp. Dark elf mages that don't keep empowering echo and want to compete at top lvl of the game also have to reroll. So go get a clue about the pvp aspect of this game before you chime in with your worthless opinion.

Because the poster I'm replying too was being obnoxious. If someone has been playing since 2004 then they should be aware of the issues that surround these skills, or if they started in 2004, quit, and recently returned then they're so far out of the loop that they really aren't qualified to comment about this stuff.
I'll explain it from a BD point of view. If a BD awakens to enchanter and takes wizard's harmony, he loses 2 combo rhythms. One gives matk/mdef (a lot) and the other gives skill reuse (among other things). So in Oly they can resist debuffs/land debuffs at a much higher rate and their skills recycle much faster; they can keep knights harmony on for the added pdef/patk/crit while also benefiting from those combo rhythms. In group pvp the ones with this set-up also tend to be stronger overall.
Prior to GOD there was no such thing as a combo rhythm, and many 85 100% BD/SWS awakened without even realizing what they were about to lose. While this can in part be attributed to foolishness for not doing enough research, we were also denied the chance to test it on a PTS. Some other classes have similar issues.
So basically, anyone that wants to seriously compete is now forced to reroll a new toon, redo 3 subs, buy new tats, re-enchant skills, lose bound items such as bday pots, etc. Hence why there are posts asking for a chance to reset them and why some guy talking out his *** about things he obviously has zero clue about is a bit infuriating.
Wasn't that better? Manners cost nothing, and being polite is the mark of the civilised man. ;) Just because somebody is rude to you doesn't give you a reason to be rude to him.

Shield Bash > Shield Impact id prefer faster CD and target cancel than having a 1 second useless stun with long CD and its useless to get Knights cubic untill ur lv 90+.
as a former TK i still have my older Cubics planning to get Knights Frenzy but its not easy to decide Knights frenzy is OP when its maxed but on the other hand the Old Life cubic + Root Cubic are too good to delete.
u can summon Life cubic + knights cubic and both can heal u and root Cubic if it lands ur done for 30 secs unless if u can remove the root. :Xam happy i thought alot before getting all new skills
