What should I expect?

I'm going to be visiting Lineage 2 for a couple of weeks now that it's FTP. I originally came from the Lionna server as a Roleplayer, with a Level 47 Swordsinger. I'll be showing up on Chronos.

Now, I have no idea what to expect...can anyone tell me about what's changed since the first year of Lineage 2? Thanks.
Everything.
Hint: Get lvl 1 quest as soon as you make the char and don't get off the quest train till lvl 40.

Why should I remake? I have a level 47 character on Chronos.

To get used to the new game, lvl 47 can be achieved in few hours anyway it won't hurt and you can get the equip from here:

No one is forcing you tho.

Alright, thanks. I'll take a taste of the game at Level 47, establish new connections, then roll a new character. Does that make sense?

That means, I'll need to go find a new clan to join, find people that are likeminded, and start building things from there on in.
Yeah i did that. I was in the middle 50's before GoD and when it came out i came back, i was so lost i had to reroll to understand GoD..I'm glad i did.

A lot changed except soulshots, they rarely work anymore so very much like L2's first year.

No, you might wanna roll a new char, at least untill lv40 so you can get the "Mentee Certificate" without it you can't become a mentee and you can't get free items from the site (this 2nd one not sure)

Becoming a mentee gives you full buffs and 200% xp when your mentor is online. I dont know if you knew this already but a lvl 85+ awakened player can become your mentor and when he is online you will love it.

Do as the other players suggested, roll a new char. If you desperately wanna play your old sws then roll a mage, do the quest series till 40 , get certificate and send it to your main. The char has to be in the same account for obvious reasons.

Cheers.
