Botting or no botting, the servers are getting full.
So are there any plans to add another server? And maybe not allow transfers the first couple of months!
I am playing on Magmeld and even though it has a LOWER population it is still always heavy and always crowded. Trying to find a good xp spot for 61+ is tough. Towns are laggy as hell. I don't think every server needs to constantly be crowded. Having some lower population servers would be nice. Before FTP when populations were lower I still thought the game was a lot of fun and 76+ there was no problem getting groups.
I've never in my extended MMORPG experience found such congested servers. NPCs can't even talk to you sometimes. The issue is too critical to be ignored, most of the problems we face are game breaking.
we don't need new servers, NCSoft needs to just close new accounts in the oversubscribed servers and force all new people/accounts to the newer less populated servers. Makes no difference if you add another server, EU people will still go create characters in Naia, that's the problem

Character Transfer to new servers will fix the problem.
I will transfer my character to a new, less laggy, server.
They can open 10 new servers but if they are all managed at the same level of (in)competence that they currently manage the ones that are open now it would not change a thing.
how would you avoid lag by creating an account in
Naia? ALL the servers are in the same location, in Texas :S
Sorry, I must admit I'm a bit naive, sometimes. For a moment I actually
thought that a server named to be european could actually reside in europe.
But I now realize that if NC "cant afford" to manage a bunch of servers all
placed in the same room, how could they ever be able to manage a remote
one!?
Which brings me to wonder how did they decide to make a distinction
between US and EU....if not because of a possible ping improvement....which
I've actually noticed the first times I've tried playing on Naia (before F2P).
Not that this makes any real difference, now!! It's a nonstop lag everywhere!!!!!

Naia used to be homed in Europe (Germany) but since NC sold the Euro rights to Innova it got moved to TX with the launch of GoD
Adding another server would not be any bad idea but they still can fix it by implementing other kinds of functions in the game or simply modifying the current ones.
I see no benefit to adding another server...thinning out the population is why the game died in the first place...They had to offer tranfers, then mergers, the servers went from 10 down to 5 at one point....(3 usa, 2 euro). Before FTP there was only 3 servers!
When FTP launched they added 1 new server, saw it wasn't enough then 2 weeks later added another one (shilen, bartz). Now we got healthy servers with lots of ppl..but No one will PvP 90% of the time because everyone is scared to flag. Because they might end up Pking some ppl, and with this horrible PK system, wont be able to dekarma.

Shilen came with GoD update but within a day or so magmeld what created for the huge surge of new players in shilen as well as on Chronos/naia. A week or two later Bartz was finally recreated which became more popular then magmeld.
Anyways, ya we don't need new servers what we need is for our servers to be managed better. Bartz and magmeld still have low enough player base to hold quite of few more players. Besides, the way things are going we will lose some people and people will start asking for server merges again.
