Anything I can do to work off the negative reputation? I have about 35k of it. I joined the game several days ago. There's no mob mobs around to kill. It seems silly if become stuck in this permanent red state.

You won't get rid of 35k. Or better put, the time you would spend getting rid of 35k Karma on a low level, you'd probably level a full account of low levels and more. That's why you should be wary of PKing people nowadays, even if they're just bots, especially if you're low level. And next time, don't PK people enough to get 35k of karma.

I have to admit, I get a strange sense of satifaction when I see a couple of reds camping the teleporter at TI one-shotting lowbies. It's funny to see how many times they'll shoot me before giving up (blessing of protection, ftw!).

LOL yes! That reminds me of an incident I had with one of my lowbie chars at Ruins of Despair... I had the blessing, the archer kept on trying to attack me. And I was like "Umm... good job, keep on trying, you won't make it."
And then he kept on trying. I think he must have tried to kill me like 20 times before he realized something was up.
