Mad about PK system?

Why?

Level 85 and below, sure I can see why you wouldn't like the PK system, you get horrid xp from mobs compared to the xp u get from awakened zone mobs and you're literally just trying to get to 85 as fast as you can. but that causes you to lose only 1 karma from 1 mob. Why would you want to PK just nubs though?

If you're a regular player and only looking to go red on the nubs the annoy you, wait til you're awakened, not only can you PK other awakened chars but the work off is insanely easy, maybe 5 minutes if you know what you're doing (and I'm not here to tell you that, you find that out yourself) and who cares about the exp after awakened? It blows anyways.

Anyways the new PK system is pretty awesome, takes 30+ pks to drop itams, I think that's why everyones butthurt with it. "OMG I KILL RED AND NO DROP ITAMS I WAS HOPING FOR EASY WAY OUT". **** makes me lol.
Sure, the first few are easy to work off, but when you get to 10+ how about then? It stacks up every time. Just because you can work off the first easily doesn't mean the rest can be as well. The system still sucks and the punishment is still too steep.

Major problem is you can't remove pk's from your total pk count feasibly.
I think the last character I killed gave me over -5000 rep points, you have to work them off 20-40 per mob killed.

It is a system to protect the emo carebears that get all emotional when another player kills their virtual character. For some asinine reason they think it matters if they are PK'ed or someone calls them a loser. This system is very similar to the no child left behind BS campaign that has plagued the US school system, the parent driven concept of giving every loser kid in sports a medal and they hug all the dummies that can't spell their names mentality that has every tree hugging running praising mediocrity. This update should have been called "No loser left behind".

There are winners and all the rest are LOSERS, it is the nature of the human race.
New pk system sucks because it's too hard to remove pks from your stats and everyplayer in a pvp clan that does mass pvps will get red sometimes since many untaged/neutral toons also stay in spots of mass pvps like soa teleport spot,it only takes a wrong click from the major targeter and you are red.

Who cares about the burn of pk with xp,its the removal from your stats that matters and it shows that either koreans pve toons dont approach areas when pvp is around,or korean gms dont know what they are doing.

I don't know whether you realize this, DrachaVonDrachen, but people with attitudes like yours are what fuel the public outrage that leads to insane programs like, "no child left behind". You are part of the problem.

Lineage II is just a game. Like any other game, it has rules. People who object to the rules should play a different game. It really is that simple, especially now that Lineage II has gone F2P. Calling them "carebears" doesn't make you better informed or more mature. It only makes you a schoolyard bully.

Now then, go ahead and report this very personal attack. Then you can rest easy tonight imagining you're a winner.

Partly true, but this is a business and the business is the bottom line. While you may love to PK, the vast majority do not. Most people are PvE players and PvP is not their cup of tea. WoW is a very good example. 2 Separate Games in reality. Confined PvP for the PvP crowd, and everything else for the so called 'carebears'. Open space PvP in WoW died a long time ago before the Burning Crusade.

The company thinks that by making the game more open and acceptable to 'more people' they think that they'll stand to gain more players and hence more income.

This has nothing to do with the US Education system or Carebears as you put it. It has everything to do with profitability.

Pretty much this. I think you may be a new favorite poster of mine.

Especially with bound items, and the ease of making a pk character to go perma red, pking has lost its touch. But if you ask me if that annoying guy pming me 10 times for group or ksing me a number of times, or that guy spamming in shout for 30 minutes won't get pked, you got it wrong. I'm goin red and I'm gonna make sure I see his tears flow into my chat box. lvl85 or not, the satisfaction is worth it. But honestly all you have to do is make an alt, build up rep and green name by going red on alt and killing it on main. Then you can pk whoever 1-2 times a day and not go red, and the tears of rage flow even stronger.

Anyway, my two cents. I think the new karma/rep system is bogus and easy to abuse given how fast you can level now.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but... this is a game that promotes large scale pvp and used to promote pking and harsh leveling conditions. If they only came to L2 to pve they are doing it wrong. But I agree, it is more profitable to give into the pve only crowd and screw over the hardcore crowd, for the most part. That being said, I still love me some Dark Souls......;)
