I've saw many shouts in game ppl that has been cheated by potential mentor. I know some ppl are naive and gave money to ppl that even don't have 4th class, but many awaken players are cheater that taking money and don't invite as a mentee. So I suggest to all that got this problem to put all names of "Bad Mentor" here. And of course would be preferable to make a screen as a proof of trade money and talk about mentoring.

Cheaters you say?...It's just those guys take advantage of stupid people...they are not cheaters.Smart people,make money out off other people's stupidity :).
In matter of facts i know a player who bought DracBow(Focus)+9 for 35kk....imagine how stupid the seller must be.
It is against forums rules to post player names in any negative way, it is the reason why bot threads get removed so quickly.
If players are still dumb enough to pay for a mentor then they deserved to get scammed out of their money. I am mentoring three players on Chronos and I am not asking a single adena from any of them.
Well the moment someone posts a bad mentor this thread will be removed because it is against rules.
Sace made post about this warning people for scams. Some common sense would tell you that there are no guarantees in this transaction and it is based on trust. But a mentor who asks money for his mentorship by definition probably can't be trusted.
However, lets not be hypocrit though, there are ISS asking for 200k to give buffs and even worse there are dwarfs that get 25kk for crafting and that is complete within the design of the game. So, using skills to give services to people by itself is not against the rules. This ISS, Mentor or Dwarf leveled and because of this effort he can give you a service. Eventhough I don't agree with mentors asking money.
There is a simple answer to the mentoring/mentee problem......Mentor your own toon....if you do not have a toon high enuff to mentor yourelf...find a trusted friend or clannie....do not accept anyones offer to mentor you as this act will continue to happen. DO NOT trust anyone you do not know as there are many many scammers in game again sadly to say. BTW....i give free ISS buffs all the time, especially to newb/lower lvl players....see me in game ...just ask...ill hook ya up with some buffs :D

I charge a 30 mil deposit. The key word here is deposit. I'm had two mentees leave at 85 just so that they can hit 86 on their friend's mentor and give him the biggest chunk of coins. I've had mentees in their 70s that take 3 or 4 days to hit one lvl!! The money i get on deposit gets mailed to an alt, and once you hit 86 I return it, but should you be a crappy mentee guess what, I'm keeping ur $$ for my suffering.

When you pm people and say "I lvl fast!!" and it takes you 3 days to go from 72-73, then another 2 days to get to 74. You do not level fast. If you are a casual player, you are not mentee material on Bartz at this time.

But I only have 1-2h in a day to play. That doesn't mean I would be bad mentee, I just have kids and stuff.
I don't have mentor though, I don't think I'm hardcore enough to need one. They all expect people to get max lvl within a month it seems.
Ppl want mentees that lvl fast so they get alot of coins quick. Once someone gets to 85/86 and graduate, they STILL get hit with a penalty of a few days where they cannot invite new mentee.
In this situation, especially on a new server where there is a race to the top, you are indeed a bad mentee for them. You just dont have the time needed to lvl up as fast as they would like.

As for mentors... I'm not taking any unknown mentees (in fact, I'm my own mentee in one of my three mentee slots and that's how it's going to be for a while, the other two are reserved for clannies). But then again I would NOT take on any unknown mentor.
At 85 I had to change mentors because I had spent most of my leveling time without the mentor benefits, while my mentor still got coins. At 85, I had 80% of my level done without mentor buffs or vitality... that's when a clannie hit 86 and I offered my coins to her because she had been buffing me during the whole grind 85-86 that I was doing without any benefits whatsoever, so she deserved those coins more in my opinion.
