I came here cause my friend told me about the good open pvp system, sieges and TW. Well there was TW last night, And well, i think this events are disaster... We went with 2 clans to the TW zone, then put a tent and waited about 1 hour. Then i was told to disarm my armor and let be killed by the other clan!?!?! They started to farm badges on us... after twenty minutes they disarmed and we farmed on them. And you people call this PvP!?!??!?!?! And you people blame other MMORPGS for lacking decent pvp. Excuse me, this is one **** exploit. And from what i see the whole game is huge exploit. Everyone is doing some like that. tarsi event? No problem, just find a corner in a shop or City Wall and exploit the system.
Durring the TW i pmed a friend. The same friend that introduced me to Lineage 2. He was in another clan in anoother territory war at this time. I asked him are they doing the same and the answer was "Kinda, the clannies logged in alt chars so we can farm badges on them"....
No wonder that no one can get in durring weekends. I wonder how sieges look like. Mb clan leaders bot in whole clans to attack their own castles and fake PVP...

Let me bet, during a siege you'll try to do some other stupid things and then wonder about your wasted time.
If you want pvp, you can find it pretty much anywhere during TW or sieges or fortress battles. But if you are too dumb to find out where it's going on I'm afraid nothing can help you.
Most of people trying to better themselves, instead of fighting no lifers.
So that's the way to better ourself. Blame bots, nolifers and in the same time go to "pvp" and exploit the system by disarming armors and making favors with the friendly clan. Im eager to enter my first siege. If it's the same lie as TW and i dont involve in a real PVP ill just go on a PK spree and emo quit this game.
Fact is badges are a must-have in the game. And unfortunately it's not easy for most to get them on PVP due to boters/no-lifers with insane gear 1-2 shoting you or me.
This is also the easiest way to become nobless and people take full advantage of it. Yes, it's broken, killing-based mechanics on open field in Lineage2 is highly exploitable.
All the problems lies in the gear-factor: gear is 50% important, luck 30%, rest is skill. And on the bots factor, who get gear much faster, improving their odds of winning.

lol a nitpicker. i go to kindergarden and you go learn what a real MMO game is.
Yes TW has been like that for a while. If you are in a clan that is "Actually" in the TW, then yes you will see real PVP. (Mostly the TW's are for the castle owning clans/allys) The problem with the TW, is everyone and their dog can join, and "farm" the badges. Sounds like your clan isn't one of the big PVP powers on the server, if they were, they should have been out fighting.
This is what the TW's are (each castle owns a Ward (Like a flag)). The castle owning clans try to take each others wards. After the TW, the castle owning clan will get additional stats for each ward they have taken. They look like this.
1 question, is your clan even signing up for the castle seiges? If they weren't out fighting for the wards, then all your clan was there for was to farm. If it is enough to make you rage quit, then rage quit your clan not the game.
L2 never was a good pvp game. It was always a grinding game where the winner side was decided by how much you grinded. And it has nice art style. This is the sad truth. If you want a good pvp game I would never advice L2. It has it's moments sometimes.

You will have to give this game six more months. With the Tauti update, over here probably in June, Territory Wars will be abolished and replaced with Tribute Looting Campaigns. Due to certain benefits Castle-owning clans get through the new Siege System introduced at the same time, this leads to real large-scale massacres. L2 never was a good pvp game. It was always a grinding game where the winner side was decided by how much you grinded. And it has nice art style. This is the sad truth. If you want a good pvp game I would never advice L2. It has it's moments sometimes.
true l2 is grind and community , I enjoy finding new people from all parts of the world and talking to them in clan team speak and that's all
its pointless to even start pvp against someone who is grinded and in so many cases boted 24/7 to get better lvl and gear
if you want pure bot free and reaction based fair pvp try league of legends
I agree, this is really not a pvp game anymore. It was once back in the days of the earlier chronicles. Unfortunately the cheating has caused such a huge inbalance that for an honest and normal game player there is no real pvp. You are simply another target to the cheaters and power gamers. I play for the ingame friends and an excuse to sit on my **** and chill lol. Sadly this game mirrors real life in so many ways. As a day trader (stocks) I can tell you that if you play fair...you will not do well lol. The markets are manipulated by the power brokers and normal people really dont have a fair chance...you just get the leftovers. Essentially as noble as humanity would like to percieve its self...we are still animals fighting for resources and anything goes when it comes to more and better resources. We all know this.

well.. for pure solid reactionbase pvp/rts just play sc2 or LoL or whatever indeed. And if you want "real balanced game" go play minesweeper dude..

Real pvp exists in l2, also pure badge farm abuse like described above.. also hardcore solid play and hardcore botting etc.. GoD is designed to get lvl 86 Ezmode and ********s of awakening will be/are around who have no idea how to play theyr class even, QQ will never ever end. Really in that regard (1-86) feels closer to WoW in GoD lol.
About 3rd party soft. Botting becomes much much harder after 86 since most places are full and require aware parties(like harnak). +u need personal ISS enchanter to be any effective.+ you get more XP doing some harnak with different parties than solobotting hardcore in swamp for example etc. So who say that game is only for botters are also telling ****.. in general higher lvls just need very solid parties to get effective XP. And raidbosses, castles and so on.. Show me bot party killing freya or taking castle or something lol. Also well if you dont get banned today for using 3rd party soft and it seems like noone gets, that doesnt mean you are safe eventually. Bans Do happen. But for sure.. botting is problem and taken into account by ncsoft. To improve bot police, faster servers are a must tho.
Still my point is - u can have highlvl maxgeared raid who can still perform as a bunch of idiots.. and be ***** by much lower lvl geared well organized raid in pvp. You can bot your socks off, still some ppl always perform better.. so in some ways skill/teamwork is a huge factor in l2.
Taking all this into account.. l2 really is like real life marketing lol.. balance between abusers and normal users is quite similar. And real deal always lurks somewhere..
Is game hard or easy.. if there is something to be exploited.. it will be eventually. Who cares - thats life.

and ummm...btw im not an overpowered, botted toon that dont know how to play their toon....Im a 100% legit player of 7 years and me and my peeps work together as a team to accomplish what we want ...and thats usually a win, and due to that...i solo pvp pretty good too cuz i have my hotbar set up correctly...so stop whining, learn your toon, set up the hotbar correctly, find a clan that is truly PVP based instead of badge farmers...you havent even given ths game the proper chance to find out what it all about.
