epic quest

Seems like you have invented the most redicilous quest in the history of RPG games. I had an instance when they turn your toon into frog and you must hop your way to a frog king to steal something from him... should i rly proceed with this game any further.... :D
Epic quests are epic because of their epicness.

considering how little the xp is.
you might be better off skipping it.
but this quest line was pretty fun.

you're investigating the Seven signs.
you're being a noble assistant to the actual investigators.

after you frog it up, you run around as a lost little boy/girl.
then you go dressed as a native, or maiden one last time...

you can use mentor buffs, and zerk in this state.

at part 4, you will feel truly enraged.
when you have to sneak around a strangely designed series of rooms...
where there is one path which takes you safely to the end where you find a series of book shelves which you must ransack unseen to find a specific book.

then at a later part, you have to kill monsters with a sword.
that part annoyed me because i wanted to kill everything at once, which apparently doesn't work out so well.

Well, the goofy running from guards in a catacomb rly made my day (with an invisible spell that you don't actually use) has done it. The quest was miserable and the whole sequence of "epic" quests lost an hour. I should stick to Crypt of Disgrace. Id have twice the xp...
This was the best quest lineage ever had. You earned 30% at lvl 79, which was equal to 3 months grinding.
79 was the level of the levels. It was equal to 86-99 grinding nowadays. 30% was equal to 6 levels now:rolleyes:

yah... before...
These quests are good namely because they break up the tedium of the everlasting grind. If part #4 wasn't put together by a sadistic employee, the entire series would be very memorable (in a good way).
Actually i LOVE the 4th part.
One of the hardcore leftovers of this game, sadly :(

The feeling after finishing such a hard task is just great.

And as we all know (atleast the veterans): No Pain no Gain
3 words : BEST QUESTS EVER!
The epic quest indeed is the best chain of quests in L2.
I especially loved reading all the complaints from botters how they hated it because they had to actually operate their toons with their own hands, and it was pathetic.

Too bad the reward for the quest got recently nerfed so it is not worth doing anymore.
Back in the day, it gave 30% into lvl 79 which was A LOT (I remember it took me almost 2 years to get from 79 to 80 for the first time).
I did it just for fun, best L2 questline so far (both 79 and 81 parts). And I loved the sneaking part, was kinda different than your everyday grinding :)
The sneaking part uses the Brain. Some people doenst have and other people doesnt like to use so quites the quest or say that it is bad or something like that

This quest has a lot more to do with lag and luck than it does skill.
Them NC solidsnake fans.
Love sneaking part as well,
it should be a daily quest and the path should change randomly every day THAT WOULD ROCK!

If this is upsetting, you should not go any further, prepare for more disappointment head from that and many other quest. I did that quest several times and didn't even give it a 2nd thought, it was all about the quest rewards at the time.

I hate the 4th part with such a passion that I cannot put it into words.

The rest of it was quite good fun.

Give me all the other parts over the WoA daily quest any day you like.
