I don't get it, I understand people paid a lot for this stuff when it was the best set you could buy but now it's close to worthless or is for the price people are trying to sell it for. I'm sorry but why would anyone buy this stuff when they will just use the free gear until 85 and then buy R grade for a lot less than what S80 sales for and R grade of course is a ton better.
I even priced out a set of S80 and for what people are trying to sell this stuff for you could get R grade full set, element stones, enchant scrolls and finish out a starter R grade set for almost 100 million cheaper than what people are trying to sell S80 gear for. Just really really silly :rolleyes:
If players want to buy overpriced gear then they will and it is that much better for the person selling it. If it does not sell then the owner is not losing anything unless it is in the auction house.
Complaining about it won't change the prices, players either buy it or they don't. :)
S80 drop from normal mobs also, but not many hunt in those areas any longer
IMO, vesper light is better than immortal light, special since its already elemented so ill use it to r95
not so keen on twilight cause its fugly

Vesper light might be better but is it worth the cost in the end. Could the effort used to acquire Vesper or any S80 item as far as that goes be better spent on R grade upgrades and you would still come out with left over time/adena that could be spent on dyes, enchants, etc...
It has had a funny effect on the economy to say the least and I dont see any of the F2P players and even returning players wasting anytime on anything at S80 because its easly skipable to go right into R grade.
It's not just the S80 stuff i laugh when i see unidentified B and A stuff on the AH priced higher than what you can get it for in the Luxury Shop in giran lol.
I am using rare (helm, gauntlets, boots) vesper noble set with 3*120.
Way better then R and even Twilight.
I miss some pdef, but the rest of the set bonus and the great elemental resist are worth it.
Dunno what server (or planet) you're on but imo s80 is WAAAY underpriced.
given 30 stones for 3x ele with 10 for fails (very optimistic) that's 40mil an item, 200 mil a set for 3x 60 ele. Every s80 set below vorpal is much less than this. Don't get started on the 120 sets or 150/300 weapons.
For mages I'd take 4pc Vesper/Vorpal + hvy BP over immo any day and it costs significantly less. Vorpal + immo bp has same set p.def as a +3 seraph robe set.
In most cases S80 set bonuses are better than R grade and their 2,3,4 piece set bonuses are significantly better. It's only Vesper Noble that doesn't have 2,3,4pc bonus.
Also what u gonna do when you wanna upgrade your bound immo set you elemented? Or want to trade to another alt? Money wasted.
S80 is way underpriced and underestimated by too many noobs.
Immortal is a Free Set ( At 86) and drops A LOT in Harnak/SoA
S80(Vorpal/Moirai/Vesper) drops from some BOSSES with a low rate

Loa drops vorpal like it's christmass now...
If you grind at the runway or in the 'donut' area (i think it's kariks the mobs called) you should be able to farm vorpal... Lower areas is said to drop vesper alot (tho I only had a sigil drop there)
It's fairly easy with a small awakened party to grind there.
The cost of putting a SA on top S80 weapon is quite amusing: 2022 S gems, that is 808.8 million adena. :o
That price was much much higher than it should have been and there should have been a quest to make higher leveled soul stones that did not require killing raid bosses.
