I didn't play since interlude and now trying to enjoy la2 again,
I started on new Bartz server and for 2 evenings earned 44lvl and bishop class.
So I have now very contradicted opinion for gameplay, and several question:
1)Why getting profession is so simple now? quest for 1st is deleted at all!!!
2)Why getting all grade's items so easy now? - just go to luxury shop and buy all for adena. Previously it was very significant when u got d-grade, top c-grade and all other grades people have to craft. Also soul crystals. Now it all removed.=(
3)Why nobody going to raids - but only kama in towns? Nowadays all like herd of cows staying at town and screaming "lfp kama". No different raids at different locations with tons of drop from them. One of the most important part of mmorpg is removed. Who was that idiot who decide about that?
4) no markets at the towns except over enchanted items and R grades, I cant buy cheap C\B grade from people.
5)Where is the heroes?!!!
6)Where is the manor??!!
7)Bartz server is in the test mode?
8)I see periodically announcement about ban for sell items\adena for real money, and near all gatekeepers we can see someone who sell adena for real money.Why the administration doesn't care about this?
1st 84 levels are just an introduction. The gear you get is just a rental until R grade so there is no need to craft anything other than R grade (excluding Top B weapons for sub class).
At 85 or 86 the grind for levels and gear (unless you abuse the mentor system by mentoring bots like half the server) is more like the old L2.
Don't know why you are surprised about the gold spammers and bots, nothing has changed with this - they probably didn't give a **** when you last played and don't give a **** about them now.
Heroes are coming this month. Not sure about manor. You forgot to mention necropolis and catacombs, but like I said they are putting more focus on the 85+ end of the game.
So - I doomed for a grind to 85 lvl without everything what previously LA2 offered to players(raids, gangs, sieges, craft, market)?!!
What grind?
There is no grind until 85 the raids, sieges, craft starts after 86, The grind is 86-99. Like the poster said above 1-85 is just an introduction to the game for everyone new and old to the game. So much has changed since the game released in 2004 on the North American servers, that they had to retrain everyone some how. (Believe me I was there since Closed beta :P) If you are able to play 6-8 hours a day then 1-85 should take you at the most 1 week, at the less have seen players get to 1-85 in less then 3days with mentor buffs and being power lvled at 77 to 85.
