I am new to Lineage. I haven't even made my character yet cause of server maintence being down. I usually play WoW but I need a change. I do like WoW but I am getting bored of it. I am a 24 year old college student who lives in the USA.

L2 has a few things similiar to WoW but for the most part the are two competely different games.
In WoW you have a choice to PvP with another character, in L2 you do not have this option as it is an open world PvP system. This means you can be running around attacking mobs or doing a quest and a player can run up to you and attack, and kill you, without any warning. You can fight back of course and be flagged for PvP (Purple name) and hopfully win, if you do not fight back and they kill you then your killer goes red and earns a ton of negative reputation points (very bad in this game).
Leveling from 1 to 60 will go pretty quickly (a few days to a week depening on how active you play) but the real game does not begin until you hit level 85 or higher.
