Looking for advice on account security. I hate the fact that there is no log in key or something to help protect accounts. I have never shared my account information with anyone in my life and never would with anyone in game or on any forums. I don't even visit guild forums out of fear that they are phishing or logger sites so I wont join a guild that makes me go to their website. I use firefox, I have AVG Anit-virus threw school and I change my PW once a week. I figured I would be as close to untouchable as can be but just now I was playing before class and got logged out and when I went to log back in it said the account was already in use. I ran a full scan of my PC and Im clean 100% pass.
I was lucky and got back in and changed all my PWs for my NC-soft account and my ingame log in once this happened. I feel I have done everything in my power to not be a victim but there must be more I can do. I have school and work tonight, is ncsoft working on anything like a security key or something?
You're way too paranoid what with the PW changing weekly
Was you account stripped, did you loose anything? If not what happens is that if you log out and back in quickly the game will sometimes still think you're logged in and will throw that error

Sounds like you dc and logged fast it happens from time to time. But stay paranoid shy happens never can be to safe

I might be too paranoid but after hearing about so many people having their accounts stripped I'm a bit worried that mine will be next. I dont mind changing my PW weekly I just write down my new PW in a notebook. I did log back in right away and that could be the case and I hope you're right. I would feel better about playing if I had a security key.

A security key is just another layer to inconvenience you the legit player, it like anything else can be cracked and/or bypassed if they really want access to your pixels
NCsoft has no interest in working for greater security of the accounts of his players.
Unfortunately in my case I was robbed and they took all my items and nothing was returned also many people who tried to transfer to Magmeld (Chronos) had problems with passwords reset.
In my case I asked for a transfer on 01.24.2012, on 25.01.2012 during the day the password and the site of the game were changed. NCsoft took me 9 days to return the bill perfectly clean.
I ask is that our accounts are safe? Are the internal security of NCSoft is valid?
I think if there were problems with the **** numerous companies in the world such as VISA, SONY and others because NCsoft would be different? I believe we are vulnerable to a fragile system and full of flaws that exposes our accounts at risk. Since no account could have your password changed without a change of email and as in my case the password was changed without sending the e-mail? Where is security??

Its normal if you have normal disconnect or force close of the client and you log in too fast the server still thinks you are on the server and say you would be already logged in.
it happens often that if you have that kind of dc and you were fighting you will be dead after relog, as the mobs still attacks when the server things you are still there.
