As I'm closing in on 85 I'm wondering has anyone tried a light armor/dual sword set up? It's the way i would like to go and wondering if light armor warrior is a bad idea? Thoughts :) on set ups in general really.
Ok, didn't know about the C weapon thing I will have to keep any eye out for those weapons. The only reason I really wanted to do light armor is because I like the way it looks so much better but thought I would ask and see what you guys were using because I figured it might of been a bad idea. I like pole so dont mind that at all for pve, i prefer to join pole parties now so thats exciting to know i will find those some more at awakened. :)
I'm currently an 81 Dreadnought and I was just wondering how big of a difference it would when I awaken and pick up dual swords instead of a polearm. I'm so accustomed to having that polearm that I don't know whether or not I will enjoy having a different set of weapons for a while.
I'm thinking about the weapons too...was going for 2-handed weapon for single target so, why suggest dual? (rly asking, not joke)
it's because tyrr has a bug on his passives, his ''superior weapon mastery'' gives a trigger when you critical(only works on pole/2handed sword/1h sword and so on.., doesn't work with duals *Had to not work with duals, but it does*), however you can have this trigger with or without any weapon, so taking duals + this trigger = op, until they fix it i guess.

Lightning force has nothing to do with the +25% passive.
No weapon = fists.
if you call the name ''fists'' in the world of l2, everyone will think the regular way that you mean The fists that GK uses,(Grand Khavatari) i mean without anything, you can trigger it with couple of hits, that was my point, It's bugged. :)
having no weapon = fists = same weapon as tyrants use
tyrants can use skills with no weapon
thats what he said and thats what he meant
so in conclusion using fists is not bugged
the thing we were talking is that, when you are using dual swords it triggers when it shouldn't, read please.
Also to add, Superior Weapon Mastery
Lv.1 – Passive Skill
Increases STR +2 and Atk. Spd. 25%, and also P. Atk. and Accuracy when using a sword / blunt weapon / spear. Allows an attack with spears on more targets at once, with a certain chance of obtaining Lightning Force while performing critical attacks. The skill’s reuse time resets or duration increases according to the character’s STR. where is the fists? where do you see the name of hand to hand - fists?
Superior Dual Weapon Mastery
Lv.1 – Passive Skill
Increases STR and also P. Atk. and Accuracy when using dual swords / dual blunts / fist weapons. 376 Attack
increase . there you go, and again i am correct!
so in conclusion using weapons, such as dual swords/hand to hand - aka fists, and when it triggers with these weapons/or WITHOUT WEAPON = BUGGED
The passives are identical just without having to repeat the text on both. God people are so downy. Make another warrior and equip both weapon sets before awakening and after.

i am talking about the ''lightning force'' trigger bug which i added it to explain why duals, do you people understand english?
google translate fail much i bet.
Zazie@ 1rst: i am not talking about passives or anything you talking about,i said why to use duals, i gave a simple advice what's going on with the ''Superior Weapon Mastery'' which i explained what is bugged,
2nd: i am not talking about Superior dual mastery stats, i am talking about what's going on with the trigger ''Lightning force'' i explained why it triggers with other weapons.
/done with you
next goes
Belophan@ Nah, you just got butthurt which is always common on these folks :D
you mad brah

"I'm not talking about the passives, but let me continue talking about them anyway." It's not bugged. It's supposed to trigger with both sets of weapons. Why would you use duals? Better P.atk. Haste + hp are big for pve/pvp.
Ye and i tell you, how it is supposed to trigger with both set of weapons? when on superior dual mastery it doesn't say ''have chance to trigger lightning force'' when it says on superior weapon mastery...how it's possible? tell me, also all i can see is everybody using 2handed weapon, it's rare to see tyrr warriors with duals.
The game is full of spelling errors and bad text, that's why it doesn't say it. Apoc slasher is way cheaper than making duals, and most people just 1v1 mobs and want crit cap so they take a focus weapon. but +4duals + crit aug + crit hat will easily have the same crit rate if not more, and you gain 2 better sa's on top of that.
so you were thinking thats a bug if lighting force is triggered with other weapons. have you seen that 2h sword is also not included in mastery? its not a translation error either, you just dont get p.atk bonus if you calculate (not like its much either) but for that you still have the passive skill (str, atk speed, lighting force, etc) just not the patk and accuracy. this is just what mastery does for specified weapons, p.atk and accuracy, rest is for all weapons
no, it is not, calculate yourself
or easier, you can check that with polearm and 2h sword, you get almost the same patk in character status but the weapons have different p.atk values. you dont get p.atk and accuracy bonus for 2h swords but not like it matters much since its nothing to wow about it
From looking at the difference between heavy and light armour.... it was clear that heavy was far supperior then light.
As for weapon choice/setup.
PVE = polearming. 90% of xping after 85 is mass mobs so polearm is the easy choice. Grab ogre cry or bear cry and swing away.
PvP= depends on class. Human tyyr.. i would recommend keeping duelist spirit and using dual swords with health. Orc/Kameal/Dwarf I would go with the two handed sword or polearm. Lot of other orc tyyrs i have seen actually only use pole for everything and are very succesful because the use there aoes to their benefit. It all depends on how you use your toon.
me as a human I of course use the duals, cant pass up duelist spirit. Yea you dont get berz rage but in group pvp you usually do not drop below 30% hp for very long... your either getting healed back up or your dieing. Damage output in GoD is insane. And I dont like the idea of converging my hp because then you become more of a glass cannon which in the past never really worked out for me but it might for you.
If your using 2h sword or duals basically you want to set your toon up to have high crit rate, time power bomber, momentum refresh and, multistrike accordingly... as well as spam armour destruction almost every oppurtunity u get because it does decent dmg as well as replenishes momentum. I rarely use hurricane storm unless its against a archer or feoh because it is somewhat ranged and when i do I switch to my pole with a easy press of a macro button. I use the stun aoe to stun peeps not really for dmg purposes and I do not switch to pole for that either.
humans are also ex. dreads and they keep "provoke" for pve/pvp is nice (+10% pole weakness) instead duelist spirit. Provoke works awesome in bistakon pure pole-tyrs party
As ex.dread u can keep focus attack (+25% damage when crit) solo target if u dont take berseker skill
Good tyr can use berseker IN ANY TIME when skill is rdy :) Let me use your advice: "learn game mechanics" ^^
i got +4 blessed apo pole 300 and +4 blessed slasher 150 (<-- WTS... maybe somone rich can make it +15 ?) and in kartia slasher do 2x higher damage in crits when normal hits watchers/90 minirb and i can finish 5 min faster solo kartia use slasher on them... Anyway as ex.dread i prefer pole :))
lucky 40 sec armor destruction + 2h sword works nice... (with +50 crit rate hat u can get 463 crit rate and with istina ring u get 500 cap)
I saw at Chronos +12 apo slasher <sigh>
Collinz keep talk up - finally somone who like tyr same as me :) and Zazie with her 20 oed specter poles ><
Im Kamael Tyrr 89... And still wanna ask about 2H sword SA.. I'm talking about pvp. Apoc Slasher Focus or Dmg up?
For farm surely u go for Focus, but what about pvp? Focus worths in pvp? Since u dont make at all auto-hits, but skills only..
wut u do more often PVE or PVP with this sword >< ? Imo damage up is waste - its add 300 patak after all increasing patak calculations not to your base patak
PS. health SA (+25% HP) stacking with second wind 93 skill (+35% HP) right ?
Most of the times is farming, but Im in a clan with 2 wars, and I want the best pvp set-up for my char.. And focus doesnt provide any benefit in pvp afaik, cause crit rate does not affect the crit rate of skills..
And what do you mean, "add 300 patak after all increasing patak calculations not to your base patk".. Whats the difference?
Yeah but if I can afford in the future this +3 str, and dyes +5str +1dex, its better to put Focus in weap, right? What's your opinion.. Dmg up may be better for skills, rather than Focus, but I also need this crit rate for the farm..

If you are just farming.
Patk or crit rate hat.
Light armor (enhance).
Slasher mainly, focus or haste. both you can cap out on, so whatever your preference.
Aoe in soa will take you to about 91 tops then its crap.
Depending on your party setup aoe orbis is passable on the crap floors, but 1:1 is faster on lower because of the ranged mobs and push generally sucking for melee aoe. Add a geared summoner and the exp is leagues ahead.
Light armor? Yeah but Im going to make a set for both pvp and farm, so Ill go for TW heavy.. Also haste in weap seams useless to me, cause gap 1500 is one Rage..
And about hat I think its better +str rather than +patk..
Dunno yet about what SA I prefer to put in Slasher, focus or dmg up.. Cause there is a difference in gear for farm needs and for pvp needs.
Well guys im petty new, I will awake Tyrr Human today or tomorrow, so for a human Tyrr best pvp setup will be Duals + Health SA ? or what will be your suggestion here ?
Take Duals + HP for pvp.
As for pve u NEED a pole dmg up (dmg up cos the other 2 SA's suck).
Also KEEP Duelist Spirit.
I dismissed it by accident and could slap myself every day...
IF u decide to choose berserker rage, then get a weapon with conversion + any Health weapon (if u dont get HP Duals). Then you can pop ur Rage whenever you want.

I envy you. I see Tyrr Warriors with duals and poles everywhere.
Only a clanmate of mine has 2handed sword, but he is thinking about switching to duals too.
A shame, because I'd hate to see the downfall of good old 2handed blades :(
duals for PVP
2h focus for PVE
pole for AOE PVE / "mass" PVP (as option)
if u rich also oed bow for single target pve / RBs
/amen
That's the problem.
To max out the power of Tyrr the need of many weapons is huge.
-Pole for AOE/Mass pvp (not 7vs7)
-Duals for mass pvp, 1 vs 1
-2h for single pve, maybe 1 vs 1
-Bow for huge HP Mobs, Raids (like the old destro or even Tyr + bow days)
Personally i still can't decide if i focus on 2h sword or duals as 2nd weapon.
i have now only 300 pole & slasher but not bow... some tyrr said that he use bow in GoG and crit mobs for 100k.... its really strong damage ???
You can crit some mobs for 100k without using bow, i mostly use bow for raids with battle rhapsody/sos when i got max atk speed, and ofc if raid use aoe attack so i could keep 30%> + cc.
