Since Lineage II launched the Truly Free model in November, we have seen a large influx of new players from around the world. Currently, NCsoft West only offers support in the English language. We are very interested to know how our community feels about the use of different languages in-game. We ask that you please take a few minutes to fill out our brief survey. I had bug with the web store not showing my nc coins while the MA does and the ig store also does. So i send a ticket that i couldn't buy the item in the web store. Since we can also buy the destiny packs via ig, i purchased it from the ig shop.
The respond incl. the "fix" of that problem was: We have seen you purchased a pack, so tell us if the problem is solved.
Seriously??? They are not competend enough to check why the web store doesn't work??? Or simply not willing?

I dont even remember what was the lastone before this. But well, i was dodging loging on this boards for a while ... but now all my infractions are gone and i can be a bit evil again :cool:
This is the precursor to changing the forum (and/or game) to another language other than English. Will we see a open poll like server times to choosing the new language? why else ask such regional and language questions. I declare shenanigans!
Could we please stop the idiocy and get the bugs fixed, the servers fixed, the web site updated with things like armor/weapons stats/bonuses, fix the store, etc etc?
If you have time to waste on this kind of poo please waste it on other things that need doing much more first :/
BTW did we beg you for this language change? Do you see multiple posts asking for it? Is the player base opinion even of miniscule importance? The last couple of months shows not... ><
sad is that most community dudes are only paid to answer a specific type of question , if juji was tol to make and only answer questions about this theme, then hes not supposed to give us any other answer then the usual
While we are busy worrying about important things in game we should have a poll to decide what color the human female fighters panties should be. If we can't get rid of bots or lag at least my Sagittarius should have frilly pink undies...

Didn't reply to #3, but I can totally see it confusing almost every non English using player. (Unless they can understand English well.)
Can we have a community survey of how people think NC is handling bots/bugs/and server issues?
please keep in mind that offering the game or any features in different languages WILL INCREASE the barrier between players.
the truth is the MAJORITY of non native americans/english people DO speak sufficient english due to playing games. if you remove this ONLY education those people have they will just be forced to speak their own language and keep speaking it no matter what. this will INCREASE language barriers and problems and most of all RACISM in the game.
so please for once THINK PROPERLY before implementing something that will be more negative then positive for ALL of ur customers.
ps i do wonder how you can even think of this while there are so many problems to fix already...

Ima say this once and 1 time only so Listen good NCSoft. DO NOT CHANGE THE DEFAULT LANGUAGE FROM ENGLISH TO ANYTHING IN THE GAME OR ON THE FORUMS.....SIMPLY IMPLEMENT ( IN GAME OPTIONS/FORUM PROFILE) YOUR DESIRED LANGUAGE SETTING.......DUH...WAS THAT SO HARD TO FIGURE OUT OR DO YA HAVE A BUNCH OF DODO BIRDS WORKING OVER THERE AT NC NOW ( W8, SCRATCH THAT...DONT ANSWER THAT, WE ALRDY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT ONE)...and like everyone else has said b4 me.....fix the existing problems 1st b4 ya create new ones. Keep in mind though by doing this , you will segregate players and if ya gonna segregate players just make new servers instead
To tell you the truth living in Greece I am used to the fact all the games are in English since none of the games that are impored to Greece gets translated. I have no problem communicating with other Greek players using "Greeklish" (use of latin characters when writing in Greek). I won't deny that it would be fan to be able to chat with them in Greek characters but I don't really care if not.
One thing is for certain though, I would never ever would like to see the game traslated in Greek :S
Yes to full Unicode support for private, party and clan/alliance messages.
Yes to GMs that can understand hero chat, whatever popular language is used.
No to any effort to make the game more playable to people that don't speak English at all. Ghettoisation is not what the community needs.
Neutral to language-specific sections of the official forums.
Cause in Greece children start learning English from second-third grade. Out of the 90% of the ppl that finish high-school in Greece the 70% of those speaks and understand English perfectly and probably speaks at least 1 more foreign language. First Certificate and Proficiency is something that you HAVE to have in Greece even to get a job.
There are other countries that doesn't have this kind of lessons in schools or private or even ppl don't want to learn another language.

Good thing Tera Online Beta started, Thats where I was all weekend. Another 7 year L2 Player walking away.
Was ALOT of L2 players cross chatting during the Beta event on tera's servers. So seems you are not alone when you say another 7 year player walking away. I am also in that boat!
