A couple of times it was really ridiculous, because the botters told me things like this:
"Come on, I'm a legit player and a grown, decent person, at the moment I am on duty in Iraq, fighting for peace and democracy! How could you think that low of me?"
Well, given that "honest answer" I could well imagine him being on duty... A sergeant would ask him: "Where the heck have you been when our camp got attacked?" And he'd be like:
"Sir, someone was messing with my bots, sir! I had to go and rez them!"

If you are using a second monitor, then it could be normal. use tools as Fraps to do screenshots ingame and it would work :)

I've always used 2 monitors on this PC; both at 1600x1200 as I'm old school 4:3 ratio :)
and it's only just started to happen. I run windowed mode so that I can do other stuff whilst waiting about in town etc.
oh and thanks NCSoft, you are incompatible with the UK banking security system "Rapport" and also with one of my development systems "MPLAB".. at least it runs at the same time as visual studio now, so i can actually work when I'm working at home.

We did have an alliance back on Devianne (briefly), until I found the clan leader botting outside Goddard.

Needless to say, we parted company. Oh and from time to time I still see people in their clan on Chronos, and yes, they are still botting.
Indeed I agree; I have changed job a couple of times in the last 6yrs, and my level of L2 activity changes with that.
As the real life workload increases, my L2 time decreases and vice versa. I usually have *some* time on L2 though.
(This is why after all this time (never away for more than 3 weeks), I am at level 86).
I know people who have played really hard and got high 80's since god started. It's entirely possible, but not for my playstyle.
What I meant is that playing L2 hardcore style and having a full-time job are mutually exclusive activities if you want to play legit. Since I don't see the point in using a program to "play hardcore" (it's not playing at all), play less and legit or don't play, simple as that.
Oh wait, the point in automated playstyle is to have a toon you don't know how to use to make mass pvp, and using programs to automate pvp specifically because you don't know how to play.
Someone challenged your competence as a leader, so what?
Next time you catch someone botting, make a nice report with details about this individual's botting routine.
Some nice screenshots with admittance of use and naming specifics would be great for your case to ban him.

The challenge from him was taken with a pinch of salt, I know I am an OK CL, and I am sure other clannies will agree. Over the years people have left for various reasons, some don't like our style, others don't like me. and over the years, people have returned to clan.
I do have screenshots of his admittance, but as many people have said all over the forums here, not a lot happens anyway. I botreported him, and kicked him from clan; and that is all I care to do thank you. I am not making a case for him to be banned, that is for people with greater powers than a mere player; and those same people removed/gimped the abillity to /gm so not a lot seems to be going on there.
As for naming people in the forums, it's not worth the infraction points to be honest.
1. Those who trully hate botting and will never bot or cheat at any game. Not because of fear or anything.
2. There's those who say they hate botters but would wish to have it easy as the botters but are scared to death and they change their password every week.
3. Those who bot and know the concequences and don't care.
Let's not be hypocrites, all of us belong somewhere here and there's not many in the category number one. All of us have abused something in the gaming world.

As well you know, if someone leaves clan they usually have their reasons, and based on that, and how they left, often people are allowed back to clan. There are some who are so irritating that they aren't wanted back, and some who it's sad to see leave.
Like WO, TBD has some clannies who have been with us for a very long time; they are the ones who we need to keep.
Exactly WO has been it for the long haul it has its ups and downs as has TBD glad to see you guys making a comeback :)
A lot leave for grass is greener but then they realize our clans were not just a clan but a gaming family/community who play and do other things together sometimes in other games too. If they are looking for instant gratification probably won't get it in our clans.
The botter telling that he has a job as an excuse to justify botting is priceless.

Hey! Why not? I have a time consuming job plus studies yet I play. I won't be on the top chars, yet I'm already awakened on shilen with full R set/weap with full elem. Never botted and never will. If u know where to grind and how to grind 3 hours of your time equals a full day of a dumb holding a mouse.
