Kamael Yul weapon

As I have seen many people advice newborn Yul archers to keep Fast Shot or Rapid Shot after awakening. But for Kamael, Fast Shot's description says it only affects crossbow attack speed. So is it true that Kamael Yul must use crossbows to gain advantage of Fast Shot after awakening?

I think so...I can also only use my death eye on bow...on xbow its disabled.
