Couldn't agree more. The fact that the cakes were so hard to come by only resulted in less sales of that particular item. It just doesn't make sense...

I'm lvl 90, I xp in harnak about 6-7 hours a day, and I finally got enough items for ONE cake on Saturday, and the **** thing failed.

I found that while in a group, the pieces were as rare as could be. I compare this to being in an SoA group doing the daily vs. doing the solo SoA daily. I got about 3 pieces in one hour in the latter, 0~1 in the former.
I made two cakes... one gave me an S-grade weapon enchant (that would have been awesome pre-GoD), and the other... nothing at all (it crafted, it just gave me nothing when I used it).
It's disturbing that NCsoft just doesn't see the problem here. It's rare when an event happens that I rave over, but this is the first one ever where I actually felt like it could just not have existed. What strikes me most odd is that the event -is- well put together for the most part. Nice art on the site, a comic even... but the event's mechanics are just... foolish (boy it's hard to find a filler word there that's not censored).
I played daily 6-7 hours in party and a lot more in weekend and until now i made materials only for 2 cakes. Both was normal and i got 1 elixir of CP and 1 elixir of MP. I am healer, wtf to do with them? I hope today i will finish to gather materials for 3rd cake wich probably will give me Elixir of HP because is missing from my reward list. :confused: Maybe "my perception" don't allow mobs drop more items? LoL!
I think they are afraid that many event items will cause server to lag like the Terpsi's event which failed...They still cant balance the login ,what makes you think that they will organise a proper event?
If you exp solo event items drop ok but in party - nothing. For all event duration exp in party (I never exp solo) I get 1 cream, 1 white and 3 dark chokolate. Can I send it back to NCWest ?

My character was scheduled to come, but now no longer appears as scheduled. I can no longer submit it to come to the server. I have watched all applications and all is right. I am no longer sure that will come, I think my items are lost :(

Get used to it. If you need to go bio while ingame they will probably offer toilet paper in the cash shop. That's what you get for f2p ^^
all im gonna say about this issue with the event is...Whn does NC "EVER" do anything right...if they spent as much time on the game as they do for the videos of the game (Trailers) ....they may get somewhere one day hahahahaha...go figure
omg.. enough with the QQ already. What did you expect; 20k chocolates for 5 hour farm ?!? It was a well balanced event compared to the prizes.If the drop was too high, half the server was going to have baiums and antharases and then these bosses farmers were going to cry all over the forum how it isn't fair etc... The event was aimed at the lower lvl .. with sub class it wasn't problem at all to farm the mats for one cake in 30 mins (in let's say Swamp of Screams) ofc not in pt... Out of 3 atempts i got 1 perfect cake 1 High Grade LS form the tasty cake and bress. Also i see many ppl with 10+ perfect cakes so in the end the rate isn't so low. And btw .. no1 forced you to participate in the event... If you don't like the rules, don't play the game.

No, I won't get used to it. I, and others like me, who pay to play this game and pay so you can play this game still have rights and are entitled to our opinions. Just because some of you are unemployed, pennyless beggers, riding on our coattails and playing for freee, that doesn't mean ncsoft is suddenly free of it's obligations and of our criticisms. This event was garbage. The only team that did well was the webteam with their out of game presentation. It was top notch. Everything else was poorly thought out and executed. The in game drop rate was unacceptably low, the majority of rewards were nonsensical for goddess of destruction and did not reflect event-piece-rarity, the cash shop section was under utilized and poorly executed, and once again ncsoft ignored our comments and concerned and instead tried to convince us that we were both crazy and then wrong for expecting the bare minimum of service during an event period.
Ncsoft should have sold the over powered valentines pets in a package by itself with some rose drops, and then rose drops individually. Ncsoft should have upped the drop rate and success rate for cake parts and cake evolution. The 3 and 7 day variations of boss jewels should have been replaced with something else (shadow items are garbage, especially 3-7 day varieties, when is ncwest going to get this?) Valentine cakes should have been for sale by themselves, at lower prices, and also available ingame as a cake reward. Specifically sold in (7) count varieties to reflect the vitality changes in that weeks maintenance. They could have easily advertised it as a lucky 7 holiday special or something, and this is just off the top of my head! And above all, they still need to make -everything- tradable, or at least giftable. As it stands, the only way to buy other people items from the cash shop is to break the rules and go into rmt territory, with you sending them money via paypal or some other method. That's a pretty convoluted way of sharing valentines day gifts in game!

I only got crappy stuff for my cakes. But sure, BREZ comes handy, I suppose.
Now I'll just try and sell the remaining of items I got. Never had a cake failing, thankfully, just got crappy rewards from them. I suppose some brez, bsoe and elixirs are better than a punch in the gut...

i havent had any problems getting mats to make the cakes the drop rate is a lil ow but its not like they dont drop at all 4-5 hours = about 200 of each ingredient
Server's not on. Still 10 minutes to go... geee, it's a beautiful day outside if you're in the Southern Hemisphere. Lots of snow you can look through your window if you're in the Northern hemisphere :D
Go do that for 10 minutes, or more, because usually the maintenances delay a bit. Get used to it!

I completely agree. Some of us have lives and jobs and yet we have to pay for xp runes when we finally do get on to catch up that expire before we can use them or are way over priced. Apparently if you have a life and money you can't make the most of what you pay for. :mad:

I think the Magmeld page showing players as scheduled for transfer was only for those that had not yet failed. I do not believe the schedule showed those that would be transferred today because they had failed previously. Now that the servers up, please check to see if your character transferred.

Funny enough bots have been being banned this last week at a rather nice pace. if you look at harnaks or swamplands, the areas are looking rather empty. So I applaud the GMs for doing a nice job. I'm not saying all trains that you see are bots, but the ones being checked by GMs are getting banned for legit reasons. So hats off to them.

We're seeing some problems with users having trouble updating, but there are a couple different situations, and therefore different solutions. If your update is freezing at a certain download amount, try these instructions (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=233631). If those don't work, or if you're experiencing a different problem, contact the support team (https://lineage2.custhelp.com/app/ask/) directly.

WTF? Chronos is at UTC-2. This isn't an Euro time (those reach from UTC-1 in the Azores to UTC+6 in Kazakhstan). Silly guy, go learn geography.

Of course, in my opinion neither Chronos nor Naia should be included in the voting in the first place. In general, we shouldn't have a reason to vote anyway - NCSoft sees the statistics of when and from where their users are trying to log in, it would be trivial for them to balance new server time zones to accommodate the predicted load the best.
But the damage is done, and spreading misinformed drivel like milike did doesn't help anyone.

New servers could have been made in the voted upon time zones, then transfers approved to those new servers without affecting the current servers . . . imo, there's a method to the madness but we're just not privy to it.
