It's been a while since I've gotten into L2 again, a long long time, and the grind (1-85 at least) has suddenly changed big time, repeatable quests, and things to do other than kill mobs is a welcomed change even though it is still lacking.
Due to this influx of changes and quests I decided to focus on doing quests which lead me to the epic quest line of the seven signs quests. And I have to admit has brought me more lols than epicosity. I give praise where it is due, this Old game has put forth some decent effort into making cut scenes and story-based questing (so far) for this quest line. But I am really hoping that if NC is planning on voicing any more NPC's, please don't get that random guy in the copy room to do the voices.... ALL the voices, it's funny I admit, but when the Emperor sounds more like a guy named Joselito than the emperor Shunaiman, It kicks any level of immersion right in the dangleys.
I don't suppose any of you feel this way to? Also I made this thread to break up the doom and gloom that generally festers in MMO forums.
It's the same as with english anime dubs. There, the original japanese voices are awesome (Norio Wakamoto ftw :D ), but when they decide to create an english dub version, they lack the money to get good voice actors and instead just grab any random person who can read the text from a piece of paper, no matter if that means having a bored teenager doing the voice part of the awesome super villain.
If the NPCs had a posh accent, would you have found it funny?
I am not entirely sure what you mean. posh accent as in what? the queens English? well I probably would find it funny.
I also prefer reading the quest text, so far this quest has been pretty humorous. voice acting, and the quest text.

Well, whatever floats your boat. I dont mind the game sounds too much i keep them low usually but I usually do multiple things while playing and I need to hear if anyone is stabbing me in the face.
