At the first moment I was excited cause I thought vitality wont be fading in this event...just removing limit of vitality items used doesnt look to me that great. But I understand you have to earn money to get servers running without monthly subscription.
So old players can use their vitality items from old events and new players have to spend money to buy your stupid vitality items or it is a worthless event.

Look, can we get some unadulterated events again, please? The game might be "f2p" but it's more expensive to play it now then when it was subscription based, so at the very least could we have a few events that aren't designed to drive people to the NCCoin store?
I like the cap being lifted, don't get me wrong, but I'm also aware that it's designed to get ppl to buy a zillion 30 min pots. How about something fun and simple like the eva's runes events (the servers are almost out of them) or the letter collectors, or just a good old fashion vit event w/o the upsell.
Would be great if the event coincided with a revamp of the Bundles included a bunch of Vit Pots, Vit Replenishing Pots and Bonus Scrolls/Items, Instead of the useless Minion Coupons, Soulshots, Spiritshots and luxury pots which i never ever use.
I've been tempted to buy multiple destiny packs in the past, but each time I stare at the 45x Luxury Cocktails, 18X Minion Coupons, 3X Spiritshots AND 3X Soulshots...my money stays in my wallet.
I know the stuff cant be traded yadda yadda yadda, but maybe ease up a little and allow it to be traded or sold?

I want an event that I can participate in. My monthly gaming allowance can't be too much more than what the subscriptions used to cost. But if it is an event designed to get rid of those Revita Pops that the older players had, then it's good that it's come early on.

why dont u come out with fashion items like different cloaks? coloring ur armor? different horses? special emoticons? etc etc. u know people will pay for it, just look at the thousands of colored titles u see walking around.
sure there can be some MINOR beneficial stuff for gear and exp but why do you always have to do things so unbalanced and piss off more then half your player base cause your stuff is so unbalanced it f uks the game up to much. +15 weps, +6 sets, and now people making TWICE as much exp as those who cant pay2win. 200% is A BIG DIFFERENCE. especially considering how important lvls are right now.

Even then ncsoft fails, because for 85+ characters they cant maintain vitality indefinetly with the cash shop pots. Why? Because they have a 30 minute duration and 1 hour reuse. If you want to exp all week during this event with the cash shop pots, you either have to invest in a whole lot of destiny packages, or exp 30 minutes and stop for 30 minutes while you wait for the 1 hour reuse to be up. No group is going to do that, it defeats the entire purpose of being on vit if you have to spend half an hour of down time to gain a 100% boost. In that hour, you would have gained the same amount of exp if you hadnt stopped and werent on vit.
This also doesnt help the older players who didnt keep all their vit items because they transfered to magmeld (thanks for deleting all those birthday potions for no reason other than to coerce me into buy cash shop ones)

If I had to guess, NCsoft will finally release replenishing potions in the shop, no doubt for $1 a piece, much like the other ones. Want to take advantage of this event? It'll be a matter of grinding for half-hour bouts, or sticking to a group and every half-hour use a replenish + maintain, so instead of this costing you $1 per 30 minutes, it will cost you $2 per hour, and one-half of that, you'll have no vitality.
I like purchasing items from the store, but I hate getting ripped off.
Time to see how many of my 380ish vit cakes i can burn through!

It's self defeating. the l2store potions only last 30 minutes and have a 1 hour reuse. To have vit 24/7 during this event, if you are 85+, means you are going to have to hunt for 30m inutes, stop for 30 minutes, then use a new potion. Basically, you achieve nothing because you would have gained the same exp by hunting the full hour without vit. Remember, vitality is only a 100% exp boost, not the 200 advertised.
This event is marginally useful for people who play very casually, in 30 minute spurts... and is totally useless for people who play even 1 hour or more a day. The sole exception being those on chronor/naia, who can be lucky enough to log in, and use whatever exta vit items they had pre-god. However, these wont last for anything either. They still have their 1 hour+ reuse time, and 1/10th a bar of vit at 85+ lasts less than 10 minutes. This event is just another one of many missed oppertunites by ncsoft to do things right. Once again, they have failed miserably on almost every front.

I would much rather not participate than have players with 380+ of the items that I would need to purchase to keep up. I know where you're coming from though. This event does seem like a last minute "oh wtf, lets throw them a bone" type deal, for old players.

IMO next event should be "everyone gets one free lvl up". Then buy your next lvl up from the NCstore for $$. Let's just pay2win up front, instead of hiding it behind such ******ed excuses of events.

I have soo many vit items from old events (remember the x-mas cake that gave u 2 vit items) that i could use 7per week till mid 2013. Many of them are a 10min vit maintenance pot which is normally a joke to use. Atleast i can burn now a huge amount of them.
Tho i think NC should reward the new players with some free vit replenishing items, else there will be a major drama btw new players and old p2p players with vit items left.
(Also i don't think that NC will earn rly much money with this event. They underestimate the amount of vit items old players have. And i am not sure how many of the new f2p ppl will spend money for overpriced vit items)

I really would suggest to delete the reuse timer during this event. This way the old players will burn much more vit items which means that they will (maybe) new one in the shops way earlier.
Will people stop complaining already about the new 'event'. It's clearly so that the old players with TONs of vit items clear out their inventories, not primarily so people buy the overpriced NC store junk. If you don't benefit from it, so what, not everything has to benefit you all the time.
If you're really bothered about wanting 30 mins of vit every hour do like I do and have alts with Vit Star/Bday vit Replenish buff. Simply relog once an hour, kill one mob to get a tiny bit of vit and log back on your main and use a maintain pot. Even 1 vit star can last 1-2 months if you only log on the alt for 30s to kill 1 mob every now and then.
On a side not I hope this doesn't cause any server login issues as people rush to XP for the event week, although I don't imagine it will.

I have 300-400 vit items left. Many of them are 10min vit maintenance pots of a old event.
Imagine with a 7 per week limit, how long would it take for me till i buy vit items from the NCShop?
And how fast will i (eventually) buy vit items from the Shop if i can burn 200 items during this week?

Anyone can take advantage of the event if they want, it's just better for older players who happen to have supported the game TONS. My account was made in 2005, I don't have any vit items apart from those from the store.
And PLEASE, not the clique of "Ohh it's a great event for botters", EVERY event someone says this, it's like a broken record.

Regardless of anything that is said/announced, no one will ever be happy ! Therefore Q.Q will always be around and tbh some people aren't happy unless moaning about one thing or another.
Example : I'm shocked this maintenance is taking 4 hours to simply change the 7 pot limit to unlimited... Fair enough 4 hours may be the standard time, but really? The NPC's at cruma still bug, so what goes on in these 4 hours? I don't get this at all...
How many of the vita pot refill do we have to buy(use) to completely refill the vita bar? 10? 30? 50? And please add in l2 shop 1 hour vita-stay potion with 1 hour reuse. Last time I test the vita pop at lvl 85+ barely refill 5 monster worth of xp and it down to Zero again.:(
I don't think it's unfair that mostly the older players will benefit from this event. In the end we paid for this game and stocked up things like this.
It is the same like you would be complaining that new player which started to play in 2012 is not having amount of money a 7 year old player can have.
Few thoughts
- NC is trying to clean up vitality items sitting in WH of playes so the players will eventually restock them with NCcoins
- In the Harmony/Tauti there are some changes applied to the vitality, it is unknown to me to what extend (vitality consumption in party of 2-7 players is affected by this)
- You can still buy the items from the shop
- You can still level alts to claim few vitality pots
Note: Yes, I am one of the people who has quite a few of these vitality items left
If until now you guys are still bother with VIT potion then you all have missed on something.
This "something" also makes this EVENT no longer a FAILED EVENT but an EPIC FAILED EVENT...
with VIT, you have 2 TIMES the usual XP.
A Nevit's Rune 100% 3-Hour Pack gives the same effect as VIT for 3 HOURS and only costs you 160 Coin
To have the same effect with Vit maintaining potion, you must use 6 of them with the cost of 360 for 5, you will need to spend 432 Coin to have the same XP intake as Nevit's Rune 100% 3-Hour Pack.
I always use up the VIT then pop Nevit's Rune. I won't give a **** about Vit Potion anymore since it is the most useless item in the L2 Store.
I understand that players on Chronos/Naia have stockpiles of vit items they were never able to use; but what about players on new servers?
I'm already spending 15$ a week on 50% exp runes, and IMO 60$ a month is a lot more than the 15$/month it used to be - especially considering on .eu & .ru they get premium accounts (2x sp/xp/drop rate/spoil rate) for 12€ per month. If you want more cash in your tightly packed wallet, enable PA's instead of coming out with Jewish events to pool in cash so you can pay your car payment & mortgage.

Maintaining pots only work on the char that use it afaik and it would be so much fail it it wasnt this way, ppl logging on alts, when in groups to pop a vit pot
Replenishing can be used on any char as it only fills up the bar a tiny bit
This is a event for the old L2 players, with stacks of vit replenishing pots as maintaing pots are nearly useless 85+ if u xp more than 1 hour
This event is completely useless as its only here to drive a promotion for the purchases of NC coins, either give out free vit items for everyone, make vit pots drop OR just give unlimited vit to everyone for the duration of the event, any of those work. Even better yet, give us premium accounts, how about the Harmony update? You guys are hoping to cash in as much as you can on the ncstore while the ncwest servers keep falling more and more behind the eu/russian servers.

they have IF you are using them in same char ! BUT you have 7 chars so in 1 min you can use 7 vit potions , make your vit full and then in 1 hour use 7. so every one hour you can use 7 potions :P its not bad .

Well, I have a lot vitality restore potions, but they are quite useless at higher levels so I need buy vitality maintenance potions I think I should need about 70-100 what is 5600-8000 NCoin about 70-100 Dollar + exchange = about 100-130 Dollar:D

Plus, if you guys don't know you can't spend more than $150 in your account, NCSoft do not allow it. Enchant Armor of Destruction and Weapon fails too, it is not a 100% rate even if you use Enchant Stones. You pay for a chance, the LUCKY factor is still there. So kids, do not annoy us and find a job or talk to your daddy, this game is a hobby for everybody if u wanna non-life it good lucky but keep in mind that some people do not have time to non-life and want to get at least a good char for fun. I've paid before for quality when it was not f2p and i'll pay again and again if i want it.

Except, you can spend FAR more than $150. On your NCSoft acct, you can set a limit up to $400, and after that, you can use other websites that sell PlayNC Game Time, and it's usually CONSIDERABLY cheaper than buying through NC (in fact, I don't buy through NC at all, anymore) and offers instant code delivery.
All you people whining: get a job and quit crying. Just because it's free2play, doesn't mean there shouldn't be incentives for the people willing to PAY to keep the game alive.

That or buy a ton of Vita Pops and give them to various toons on your account and log over to refresh vitality every 30 minutes before the maintenance comes off reuse.

This is NCWest. As such, It's geared towards Western European and -- more importantly -- North American markets, where people make okay money on average, and can afford to invest a little money here and there in their hobbies.
Nobody is holding a gun to your head and telling you to buy NCoin. Nobody is forcing you to take food from your family's mouth to get ahead in L2. I would never spend $150/mo on L2, and I don't know anybody who would. In the little over a month I've been playing, I've spent about 5k NCoin, and that was pretty evenly divided between xp runes and cosmetic items. I have no plans to buy any more NCoin in the near (2 - 3 months) future. If you can't afford to spend money on your toon, then don't. The game is every bit as playable with NO money invested as it is with $300/mo invested. You'll still get there, you just won't get there as fast. However, if you feel you really must buy NCoin (but can't afford it) to succeed, then I suggest one of the following:
1) Ask your boss for a raise
2) Ask your mom for a bump/advance in your allowance
3) Get a better job
4) Get a second (or third, as the case may be) job
Whatever you choose, you should not expect NCSoft to lower their prices or make special prices available just to you because you live in a 3rd world country where there are no minimum wage laws. That is simply absurd.
Except, you can spend FAR more than $150. On your NCSoft acct, you can set a limit up to $400, and after that, you can use other websites that sell PlayNC Game Time, and it's usually CONSIDERABLY cheaper than buying through NC (in fact, I don't buy through NC at all, anymore) and offers instant code delivery.
All you people whining: get a job and quit crying. Just because it's free2play, doesn't mean there shouldn't be incentives for the people willing to PAY to keep the game alive.

It's a nice event that it doesn't add much power to ppl spending money in order to win.
Also ppl that kept their vit potions from old events can finally use them.
Sure its not fair when it comes to "transfers" but can't blame them for leaving Chronos/Naia because they couldn't even log in there for hours.
Edit: it's worth saying, though, on the topic of illegal servers: I ran across a server once that did something I truly wish they'd implement on retail... Different times during the day, a TvT (Team vs Team) event would be announced. You sign up in Heine. It takes the first xxx people to sign up, and throws them randomly on 3 different teams. Once the event starts, it ports everyone signed up to a hunting zone, and it's open pvp for 30 minutes (Team vs team, ofc). At the end of it, the top players are awarded event items. it was a ROARING success on that particular server.. So much so, that they made it a 3x daily thing :) Kinda off-topic, but meh...

Anyone with an ounce of brain matter can see this event makes little sense. Why keep the limiter which is the reuse timer? As a business this makes no sense, you're trying to limit your profit? What kind of business wants to make less sales?
Unless your new l2 store packages have vit related products that replenish or maintain, the your sole objective is to make the veterans use up their stockpile of vit? If that's the main objective then it's another missed opportunity. Why not sell vit packages to the new players? So they can take advantage of the event as well?
As previously stated, you can easily log a different character and pop another Vitality item, as the re-use timer is character-based and Vitality is shared account-wide. Also, AFAIK, all VP items are transferable through the dimensional merchant.
Please stop crying and either participate in the event or dont; NOBODY is holding a gun to your head.
Why didn't they also give free vitality pots to players under 85 (untradeable, shareable, whatever) if they can keep a player until 85 chances are they'll stick with the game. If they can't get to 85 or are struggling to get to 85 then chances are they won't stick around. Or hell just make vitality unlimited under 85.
This "event" completely sucks. And it's truth what many ppl are already saying, you're gonna lose a lot of players if you keep doing this kind of events.
I only can say i'm getting really disappointed with this "F2P", i can't complain because of you want to make money, but these things it's kinda too much.
Be careful what you wish, things like this can kill a game in the future, i hope it doesn't, because i really enjoy here with my friends...but again, be careful what you wish.

You do understand that with the 1 hr reuse and the fact most vitality items are linked to that timer the 999 is meaningless. 7 days a week, 24 hours in a day = 7*24 = 168. You would need to have over 6 different items that are not linked and used every hour of every day of the week to go over 999.

Exactly, naming this as "event" it's even deceitful advertising. It's not an event if you have to pay for it.
So open your eyes guys, it's not *****ing for no reason, it's pretty clear the intention of this (if you have the money and want to spend it all here, that's fine and it's your right to do it, but don't put "event" names on things that aren't nothing more than "Advanced User Benefits").

Don't get me wrong, i totally respect the fact that many of you were paying for years in order to play a decent game.

This is a nonevent. It will allow older players to experience a couple hours extra of vitality this week and nothing more. Poping a revit pop at 85+ = 1/10th of your bar = 10 minutes of exping, give or take how fast you grind.
This is a nonevent for pay to win players because you can not maintain vitality with the l2 store potions. They have a 30 minute duration and 1 hour reuse. So that means, for 85+ characters, you can use a potion, grind for 30 minutes, THEN YOU HAVE TO AFK FOR 30 MINUTES so you dont use up your vitality. 100% exp boost for 30 minutes = the same amount of exp as grinding for 1 hour with no vit.
The only people who benefit from this in any meaningful way are the people who play in exactly 30 minute spurts which is what? The super casual? And they don't go through the old 5/7 potion limit.
For this event to be acceptable for old players and cash shop users, an additional change must be made: reuse must be removed from all vit items, or at least made less than their duration. You have lots of christmas cakes? Do you have any idea what their reuse is! People are still going to have lots of vitality items left over after this "event" is done!
Will people stop complaining already about the new 'event'. It's clearly so that the old players with TONs of vit items clear out their inventories, not primarily so people buy the overpriced NC store junk. If you don't benefit from it, so what, not everything has to benefit you all the time.
If you're really bothered about wanting 30 mins of vit every hour do like I do and have alts with Vit Star/Bday vit Replenish buff. Simply relog once an hour, kill one mob to get a tiny bit of vit and log back on your main and use a maintain pot. Even 1 vit star can last 1-2 months if you only log on the alt for 30s to kill 1 mob every now and then.
On a side not I hope this doesn't cause any server login issues as people rush to XP for the event week, although I don't imagine it will.

Putting this in all-caps does nothing to change the fact that it is you who have not read. You can use seven per hour, not one. So, six vita-pops on alts, then back to the main for a vitality freeze, and gogo xp nonstop. This has been covered several times in this thread.

Yes bravo NCsoft. Another great event to allow nerdgin ebayers to get their pants wet while they xp twice as fast as me and half the effort while they pop vit pot after vit pot to xp to high lvls.
Not only do most of these kids have +8 or higher Apoc weapons why I blow apoc thrower after thrower trying to get it +4 but there now going to reach my lvl or higher with half the effort via popping enormous amounts of vitality pots
I enjoy playing this game a lot. I put a ton of time into this game, more then i should, but I am unwilling to drop over 500+ dollars on a videogame because after all it is just a game. However, this game gets less fun to play when you watch blatent bots xping at a faster rate then you, as well as getting dropped by a wartag who is carrying a +10 or higher Apoc weapon that he obviously purchased via NCoin or through adena sales.

wake up Kid57 (lol), the game has changed because of RMTs, this is NCSoft (korea) attempt at free to play model, this means getting rid of competition (RMTs > stupid hard craft > stupid hard grind - at least first lvls), btw they failed (again), we still needs TONS of money in game for attribute/sa/etc. and NCFail don't sell adenas (yet - lol - oh wait... maybe they do :< j/k)
Oh and just in case you didn't figured it out because most ppl like you seem to not read post they don't give a crap about, we are not complaining because of old players with tons of useless vit items, at least I'm not complaining about them, because to me those ppl are not at the same level I play at, I'll repeat myself, if you like fishing for pink poney with your friends I'm fine with it

So much for getting rid of bots not to mention top clans on zxxxxx 3rd programs are still here at top spots and still braging about their OP bot skill / adena making skill on some popular forum

the point is to make balance nobady say that we should not pay and play for free but events need to be madet for all ppl who are playing not only for old players,so to make it all right they should keep event and give for all players atlist 3 revita pop to give chance for all
players who start can have a little fun and if they want more they could buy more items in l2store if they wish ofc , old players who has many of vit items can have fun so all will be happy this way.

wake up Kid57 (lol), the game has changed because of RMTs, this is NCSoft (korea) attempt at free to play model, this means getting rid of competition (RMTs > stupid hard craft > stupid hard grind - at least first lvls), btw they failed (again), we still needs TONS of money in game for attribute/sa/etc. and NCFail don't sell adenas (yet - lol - oh wait... maybe they do :< j/k)

What I do complain about like so many others but it seems sooooo hard for you to understand, is the game going pay to win. So much for getting rid of bots not to mention top clans on zxxxxx 3rd programs are still here at top spots and still braging about their OP bot skill / adena making skill on some popular forum

Trust me there are ppl getting hammered left and right for using 3rd party programs/RMT. It is only a matter of time. However, its just as easy to create a new free account and start new again. And the player will be back to 90 ish in a weeks time with the current system. If the general population spent money on the game as the ftp model is intended to work event such as this one would not have to be created. So instead of QQ about ppl paying to be on top you should be thanking them since you are too cheap to spend some $$$ on the game you enjoy playing.

L2 veterans, who stockpiled many potions? Almost all old vit potion is garbage, like 10min candle with 1hr reuse, so no, not for L2 veterans.
L2 new players? If NC don't add some new vit potions to Store, it's hard to xp in any group only 30min after 30min break each hour. So, probably not for them.
For those ppl who bought tons of valentine vit cakes last week (those cakes works like BD potions) - yes, can get whole week with full vit bar.

We used to have Double XP every so often, there was NO path to awakening stuff, dude if you at least could imagine how tough it was to get a Nightmare set A you wouldn't be here saying so much ****, you get a free awesome Dynasty set S dude... to get a dynasty here in the old days it was about 700 billion adena (++) in Chronos, i used to farm adena in Catacombs, i could get about 10 million in one week of play, i died on purpose to lose xp and keep the mobs at least on green names. Now you get free sets, you can just make an ISS or Feoh to get adena, lol just tell me this amazing thing that makes u get 90 in weeks, this is really amazing... must be a bot, cos it is tough as hell to get 87 or 88, i can't even imagine how long it will be my run on 89 to 90.

Putting this in all-caps does nothing to change the fact that it is you who have not read. You can use seven per hour, not one. So, six vita-pops on alts, then back to the main for a vitality freeze, and gogo xp nonstop. This has been covered several times in this thread.

It comes pretty close actually, but even so you'll be able to have vitality for the large majority of the time, vs. before during non-event times when you get 4 hours vitality for the whole week w/vitality freezes.

If NCWest is smart, yes. Every new event will have an L2 Store tie-in. IMO, the Valentines event was a perfect example of how to pull this off right: Make the event so everyone can play, and those who have some real money to throw in can do a little better. I was looking forward to buying the cake ingredient for a chance at an earring, but you know what? I crafted like 25 cakes, and only ONE evolved - ONCE. Didn't even have a chance to throw money at NC on that event...
Anyways, I digress. This is a free-to-play standard model, and to be honest, NC is doing better with it than MOST. In MOST f2p games, there are entire AREAS you can't access without paying, entire systems you can't use, and countless other restrictions... The only thing NC offers people -- for money -- is a way to get to your goals a little faster.. But, the FACT remains that ANYONE *can*get*there*, whether they invest a single dollar or not.

Ive made this arguement before but im bored so ill make it one more time.. The exp now compared to back pre GOD is comparible.. when the double exp weeks were going on it was actually better. cuz you had vit at 300%.. nevits adding 50%.. and then double exp.. which wasl ike getting 900% exp on a mob.. also back then you could pull with a titan and log in and out with your vit pots saving the time on them and making them stretch forever..
When you awaken you really cant do that.. You need a 7man party basically at all times and you always have to be in game..
Speaking to you about money, if you were farming 10mil a week in a catacomb you werent really making any money at all.. because most players would spend about 10m a week in shots.. hell, now i spend over 80m a week a shots.. in awakened places if you have lvld consistantly with a party or by yourself i your about lvl 90 there really isnt a reason you shouldnt have made atleast a billion adena in drops.. My partner runs my party with me and i really dont care about adena too much as i have plenty, and he has made 25billion+ easily. (not botting..) playing with a group.. (btw, yes we have multiple computers with many nostromos running macros for us.. i personally have 4 computers)
Also you do not have to bot to get to 90 within a couple weeks.. 1-85 is rather simple:
1-40 1-2 hours quest
40-56 30min ranku scroll
56-68 3-4 hours demon prince/ranku scroll (hard part until 80)
68-80 4-5 hours Anakim transform FOG
80-85 1-2 days Anakim kariks or you can do dino quest..
Personally i wish they would have kept exp the same way they had last chronicle.. I could log in bd/sws/titan/DC and go anywhere and pull.. Now its like im putting on a production as i set up all the comnputers and macros and stuff.. way more of a headache.
85-90 7-14 days harnaks..
Better players just do things more effeciently.. a lot of times it has nothign to do with botting and it has everything to do with maximizing potential exp/hr ratio. A lot of players a content with making shotty exp parties in order to do something in game.. But the top players will not exp at all unless its the best exp possible.

AFAIK, the only game ever developed by NCSoft to be discontinued was Tabula Rising, and that had *nothing* to do with sales, and everything to do with a lawsuit from the guy who did most of the development on it.

I stand corrected. But, my main point remains: NCSoft keeps their games online.
I think this is a good chance for those who have paid previously to get 150% efficiency out of there XP, get a better chance at full armor drops from pouches and spend some more time online with friends. Many have spent at least 50 dollars on the game by now and this is there chance to enjoy those vitality items if they have not done so already and its a chance for ncsoft to show the community that they will do things like this to reward players who have played in the past before f2p, or have paid recently since f2p.
Vitality items will still have their respective re-use times.

I'm not going to lay it out for you because your post makes it pretty obvious that you, at best, skimmed the thread without really reading it. Fourth (and finally), A player who has paid for items through the NCStore can not get or do anything that a non-paying player can get or do (with the exception of the My Teleport system, which I love the concept of but don't use, currently. The Scroll package needs to contain 100 scrolls for 80 coin. I would use the system regularly, were this the case); all the paying player can do is get there a little faster.
If you guys spent half as much time on your toons as you do crying on the forums about things that make no real difference in your gameplay, this game would be a lot more fun and interesting.

The rewards are low grade and the drop rates have sucked. I have coins because NC refunded my paid time to me like that,but I wouldn't waste it buying stupid event items to get a CHANCE to better my rewards. I want something guaranteed useful. I don't buy the packs since the majority of the stuff I don't need and can't sell. For those of us that are veterans of this game we saw this mess coming and frankly I've really been getting lamed out.
Try getting a party in Harnak's for more that 20 mins. People don't xp for hours on end like they used to. Constant stopping to replace or rebuild a party. Waste of time.

Only veteran players from the old servers would have multiple toons on their single Account. New and returning Players have no need to make multiple toons on a single account. 1. If the objective was a 'clever' way to remove the stash of Vit Items most veteran players have, it makes little sense to have the reuse timer.
2. Why have a single event just for Veteran players? The overall objective is to make money yes? Monetizing means trying to cash in on whatever can be sold will be sold. Why preclude the rest of the players who number more than the older players for sure. Which is why you have transformer lunch boxes for the kiddies while you have Megan Fox posters for the 16 year olds (and some 50 year olds)
Again, I've not checked the In-game Store (Another missed opportunity since the Galleria is not updated with the in-game store) Over a decade worth of Gaming Research has shown that Gamers offline tend to spend time on researching and planning their game as well. So it makes alot of sense to offer Services to the Gamer Offline.
However, with the Account Services not even online, one could suggest that they are still terribly understaffed and it's still being run by a jaded community manager and two interns.

LOL?? Are you SERIOUS? When there were only 2 character slots per account on Bartz, I was willing to pay NCoin for additional slots. Every account I own has at least 2 characters on it, and even if I did only have one character on my account, how hard/time consuming is it to create a lvl1 toon and take him to the dimensional merchant in TI? In my opinion, the only 'mistake' they made, here, was calling this an event, when it is clearly just a marketing promotion. Like I said, before: Valentine's event was a picturesque example of how to tie L2 Store merchandise into events and keep everyone happy.

Because you see, there are ppl here saying that who don't like this event it's because of we don't have a job or something. And i can tell you, in my case, i do have a job and i actually wouldn't mind spend some bocks in this game. But the truth is this is pointless, because until now they mostly have done really sucky events. They could be way more creative, but they are not, because it's clear money it's all that matters for them.

Creativity seems like too much to ask from NC. A simple double XP event would do better than any of the events since GoD launch. But that's not going to happen because there's no way for them to make coin off that. Unless ofc they get creative lol.

because the longer you take to level, the harder it is to level. If you maintain the same leveling curve as the majority, you get bogged down in over crowded zones that can't support hundreds of players. This leads to anger and stress as your group cant get a spot, or is forced to fight for a spot when all they want to do is exp. Also as time goes on, drops become worthless. It costs billions of adenas to enchant skills to +10, if you dont level above the curve, by the time you reach 99 with everyone else, you will have no adena to enchant the skills and the gear that you need to have "fun" at 99.
If you think that the real purpose of the game is to sit in ventrillo and chat with people all day I have news for you: you can do that while doing any other activity. Clearly you don't enjoy or want to play lineage 2, you just want to socialize online. This goes beyond being hardcore or casual: you are simply lonely -_-
Most players would prefer to grind hardcore for a week or two and get this ridiculous grind out of the way. Instead ncsoft intends for us to grind hours a day for months in order to fill their pockets with 15 dollar 7 day exp runes. Nobody finds this acceptable, and I will laugh when they are all handed their pink slips come next quarterly report when profits predictably dry up. Ncsoft made a lot of money the month leading up to and after goddess, and I imagine it is drying up pretty **** fast now that the newpatchsmell has worn off and people are wondering where the hell all the content is.
We understood your goal as a company is to take as much money you can from us,but you should camouflage it a little smarter like give us some kind of enjoyment to make us feel we like to use our credit cards?Full vitality every 24 hours would make sense to us to go spend money on coins vit retain pots and would give the feeling of an ''event''.

There are too rewards. Maybe not everyone will benefit but there are rewards. I think this is mostly a non-event but I don't understand why people are emo-raging over it.
I kind of like an event without items, though. I get enough garbage in the inventory anyway.
Also you do not have to bot to get to 90 within a couple weeks.. 1-85 is rather simple:
1-40 1-2 hours quest
40-56 30min ranku scroll
56-68 3-4 hours demon prince/ranku scroll (hard part until 80)
68-80 4-5 hours Anakim transform FOG
80-85 1-2 days Anakim kariks or you can do dino quest..
this is presuming you have a couple hundred million to blow on these scrolls
Most players would prefer to grind hardcore for a week or two and get this ridiculous grind out of the way. Instead ncsoft intends for us to grind hours a day for months in order to fill their pockets with 15 dollar 7 day exp runes. Nobody finds this acceptable, and I will laugh when they are all handed their pink slips come next quarterly report when profits predictably dry up. Ncsoft made a lot of money the month leading up to and after goddess, and I imagine it is drying up pretty **** fast now that the newpatchsmell has worn off and people are wondering where the hell all the content is.
Quoted for truth. This game died the moment they decided to kill off the existing classes & force you into the new paths. I'm sick of doing daily SoA / terrador & the stupid 100% xp rez. I've been questioning why all my old friends never came back, and the handful that did have already quit. I feel like a real chump sticking around, can't help but be curious. Shame I didn't have the common sense to see the sinking ship ... RIP L2, you you were a true gem back in the day. To hell with this model & mmos in general.

Yeah not to mention how all the bots took advantage of the event for RMT... But nevermind that, the event created so much imbalance in the game. Only players with powerful PC/multiple PCs were able to surpass all regular players in item gathering.

Um..no? I don't see the point of your post. I'm not sure why you think having 32 accounts for that event would make me mad? Firstly, that's no accomplishment compared to what others were doing. And secondly, I barley participated in that event and found it quite boring.
I was simply adding to what 1Peri1 said and stating that the events could be more simple, fair and inclusive.
LOL?? Are you SERIOUS? When there were only 2 character slots per account on Bartz, I was willing to pay NCoin for additional slots. Every account I own has at least 2 characters on it, and even if I did only have one character on my account, how hard/time consuming is it to create a lvl1 toon and take him to the dimensional merchant in TI? BTW, It wasn't my idea, at all. I just regurgitated it because some other lazy person decided not to read the thread before opening their mouth wide enough to put their foot in it.

Why don't you take time out of your busy schedule and check the L2 Store, to see if it sells any items that would tie-in with a "Vitality Unleashed" 'event' while I try to pry my face out of my hand. I know we're not supposed to troll, here, man... But, JESUS could you make it any easier?
In my opinion, the only 'mistake' they made, here, was calling this an event, when it is clearly just a marketing promotion. Like I said, before: Valentine's event was a picturesque example of how to tie L2 Store merchandise into events and keep everyone happy.
Edit: And, if you don't know why *every* account should always have a full stable of characters, especially once they awaken their main, I hope nobody tells you.

2. Promotions should entice a customer to pay for your goods and services, like a price off or a purchase with purchase. If you're trying to make money and your product is well, a virtual item, why limit the use, hence the purchasability?
If you're running an event and a customer came in and wanted to buy 100 apples do u say no to him? When u do a price off you may gin a marginal increment, so the same customer may buy 120 apples instead.
But that's not all, this same customer is given a caveat, buy 100 apples but u can't consume or use them all at once. U can only use 1 apple every one hour. So why would the customer buy 100 apples if he can't use them as and when he wants to?
Add the fact that at the higher levels vit goes so fast, 1 hour in soa will burn All your vit. Buy replenishment pots? Then this promo becomes a big farce, and truly becomes pay to play.
So perhaps think a little objectively before face palming, I hear hitting your head too often damages the ability to think.

Maybe the vit pots aren't selling well and theyre trying to push the sales of vit pots? It may be just to highlight vit pot availability and increase awareness and encourage use. If so, not a very good job considering the current mechanics.
4. Yes please enlighten me the benefits of having a full stable of toons on a single account now considering that vit is shared? Since you're obviously a well educated chap and suffers no facepalmeritis.

85+ u should use maintaining pots
So out of 356 days in a year we wait exactly for one event you described to occur? And how often are these events. Been back 3 months and the Xmas tree event was the best.
hmmmm... i think its better if you guyz give a free 200% rune of xp for 1 week or something... and then sell a costume that last forever not 7 days... ppl are like to costume there character and to mount something different but it so sad when you saw that your item is expired its like burning money right?
Will people stop complaining already about the new 'event'. It's clearly so that the old players with TONs of vit items clear out their inventories, not primarily so people buy the overpriced NC store junk. If you don't benefit from it, so what, not everything has to benefit you all the time.
If you're really bothered about wanting 30 mins of vit every hour do like I do and have alts with Vit Star/Bday vit Replenish buff. Simply relog once an hour, kill one mob to get a tiny bit of vit and log back on your main and use a maintain pot. Even 1 vit star can last 1-2 months if you only log on the alt for 30s to kill 1 mob every now and then.
On a side not I hope this doesn't cause any server login issues as people rush to XP for the event week, although I don't imagine it will.

The method for defeating the cooldown on vitality potions has been outlined in this thread time and time again. You are too thickheaded to accept it as viable.
As for why you should have a full stable of toons at 86... I already said if you don't know, I hope nobody ever tells you. I'll give you a hint, only one character on each of my accounts ever stays in-game for more than 4 hours.
I'm sorry you don't understand the mechanics of the game you play, but that's not my fault.
