hello guys,
first of all you`ll have to excuse my english :o
I`m new to official servers and have to say i like it here [hate bots though]
i have been playing as Dominator till now and i liked it very much. Now i`m lvl85 ISS Enchanter and its very different from my old OL.There is not much written
about them in the forums. I wasn`t even sure where to put my thread(fighters/mystics).So different playstile now.Hoping to get some advices from you guys.Whatever you can share will be apritiated.PvP was so fun with Ol and i am wondering if we are the same bad*** as before.Me personally don`t like that much the new class but may be at lvl 90 and above things change in our favour
Iss is a great class. I do a lot of PvP with mine. As an Orc you have some neat skills. Savage isn't really that helpful in PvP but the others are. When you're close to dying you will get a passive skill that triggers making you invincible for a few seconds, enough to use return, run away or Petrify your opponent.
Your heals are stronger the more alone you are. So watch out and try not to get into 1v1 PvP when you have several allies around or your heal will be weaker.
The issue I found in PvP for Iss is mana. If you're spamming all your skills and debuff you will quickly run out of mana and lose the match. So be wise when using your skills, time them appropriately. Don't be afraid to hop and your horse and run away to recharge, you can always come back after.
Even though ISS Enchanter is not the most powerful class out there, the higher you level up after 85 the better you will be. Remember your roles in mass PvP (buffs/healing/res) and you won't have many problems finding a party.
Healing isnt that usefull in mass pvp, you should focus on assisting the MA in pvp and using your debuff skills, such as crippling attack and shadow blade. And ofcourse keep up buffs and rez the healer whenever he goes down.
thank you guys
i`m playing in Magmeld and there is a little problem with finding a party cause a lot of ISS playing here...but my clanies are lvling fast and i hope soon we`ll start our own party:)
Since there aren`t that much new skills for us but more leveling ones we have i was thinking of rerolling to FEOH[will be postponed thou...
The class itself is a little strange for me. I feel more like the old Dancers and didn`t play a lot with that character(wasn`t my style). Now i think i`ll just have to adapt:rolleyes:
I am new to L2 As well, so I am decided to make an elf enchanter and i think i will be balance in doing pve and pvp(look for a clan that can party for lvling and doing some mass pvp).
So may i ask what dyes i will be using? +str or +con? Some ppl saying str is better but some ppl saying in con is better... For the armor heavy(attack) or heavy(defence) or light? For the weapon I would use dual sword but which SA? haste/dmg up or HP?
What will we do when partying? buff/debuff/rez/heal or doing some melee dmg? And what about in pvp?
I have been searching around the forum for days but everyone are talking in different way....

Your 1st priority is to keep the healer alive and then try to petrify/transform enemy healer and then try debuffs if your enemy is near. Never move far from the healer.
Unless you want pve...then just do what is quoted.

Keep the healer alive with ur amazing healing skills? I agree with disabling the enemies healer, but I much rather have an ISS using crippling/shadow blade than spamming a crappy heal on the healer.

You must have only ever READ Iss enchanter skills, not played one. The super awesome +/- 30% skills last 5 seconds. Every DD has a super awesome mode that lasts more than 5 seconds.
"But you can spam them!" Of course, but then, that's all you can do. Never mind petrify, transform, suspension, oblivion, root, celestial, cancel, heal, rez, rebuff, check for noble, keep an eye on bad pulls (pve & pvp combined there). Iss is a class with the most variety combined in one toon. Yes you could spammy spam spam your uber gone-before-you-blink debuff, but then you would miss out on every other single thing you need to be doing.
I was quite upset going from 30 second hex to wtf 5 second hex. I spent the first half of 85 obsessed with my role as a debuffer.
Honestly, if an Iss is spamming hex and DD'ing, then the healer is also having a good time, because the tank is pro, the DD's are smart, and everyone has the proper element on their armor. Otherwise it is up to two people, healer and Iss, to do the job that used be done by sws/bd/wc/cardinal/ee, 5 people!
Debuff and DD my foot! I mentee'd up my other toon to a nuker and in parties it amazed me how awful the Iss were. No wonder the healers are whiny about getting the shaft on rezes. Their right-hand-man thinks he's a DD!

Cripple nearly doubles damage that any DD is doing.. Not sure it has quite the same effect for magic damage, but for any patk DDs, nearly double. Are you seriously comparing it to hex? Plus I hit harder than tyrrs half the time.

In pvp you do need to cancel/root/petrify/heal/rez/buff on top of debuffing, but debuffing is still really critical (it's also important to make sure you're assisting the MA while doing this). In pv3 you should just mainly be debuffing. If you need to heal or CC that often then you're either in a terribad party or in a place too hard for your lvl and/or gear.
To the OP: The class isn't for everyone. It requires a fair bit of attention and you're not going to be the one putting out the most dmg or getting tons of +1 in pvp, but it is a critical class nonetheless. You just really need to think about the type of play style you enjoy most and make your decision from there.
Well any new lv 85 player is going to be in a LOT of terribad parties where people are not elementing their immortal and you can't tell at first. And you can't expect a brand new lv 85 to be able to element their armor immediately, understandably. In that very common scenario, play defensively, as a support class.
But yes, if your dd's aren't in crappy armor, and the Iss is also well elemented, then that's why they gave ya fighter stats and duals. The way to tell what to do is how fast hp spikes down when the tank loses aggro. I'm speaking to the lv 85 new Iss's not the people who have learned their class. It's a very bad idea for new Iss's to get tunnel vision with their debuffs. Often, in melee range, they can get 1-2 shotted, further stressing the healer.
Though some people are just bad players too. I made a nuker and in Kartia and exp groups I haven't died, and when I played my Iss, the nukers ALWAYS die. They should have named the Awakening noobie armor MORTAL, not immortal. False advertising.
