1. When I wear Vorpal 2 parts (P. Def. +5.57%; Max MP +360; Speed +3%; P. Atk. +5.57%; Atk. Spd. +5%; STR +1, DEX +2, CON -3; Resistance to stun +50%; Resistance to fire/water/wind/earth +5. Damage +182 during critical.) >> No Effect enable http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa190/TwanJung/vorpal2parts2.jpg
2. With a talisman P.Atk Passive +6%:
- Normal p.atk: 1539
- True p.atk increase with 6% = 1539 x 6% (right?) = 92.34 > total true p.atk = 1539 + 92.34 = 1631
- Right p.atk (can see in picture): 1563 (just +24 ~ 1.5%) http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa190/TwanJung/patk_passive.jpg
1st: this % for p.attack, etc increase affects the BASE VALUE not the total
so dont consider the whole number, you have passives and many other modifiers
2nd: vesper was bugged (not sure if it is fixed in harmony) the 2 piece effect is a lie, look at your passives and it has a more acurate discription

what's base value?
When no equip weapon, my p.atk = 11, and after that's in picture O_o The Stormer's +0
I subscribe this thread.
Rly nice questions.
About s80 armor, the set info don't give information about 5 pieces, only 2 pieces need.
Patk talisman is realy fail. 6% added to patk is not 6%.

Waiting for more info....
The bonus is diferent for 2,3,4,5 parts, but the set only shows 2 pieces, i you take out/on the parts and check your passive skill bonus its gonna be precise

Base Value stands for the amount of (e.g.) p. attack without ANY modifiers like passive skills, clan skills, buffs, debuffs, subclass certificates or anything at all
Gonna try to show it in the math
You have an static part of the equation and a percentual part so
Base p attack * all percentual modifiers + static modifiers
So lets say you have 10000 p attack and buff horn melody (17%)
10000 * 17% (or x1.17) + 0 (static) = 11700
simple right? lets make it more interesting
lets say you learn superior bow/crossbow mastery (1316) so
10000 * 17% + 1316 = 13016
Clear so far? good let's complicate a little more
Now You buff drum melody (10%) so
10000 * 17% * 10% + 1316 = 14016
So if you followed my math so far you understand that there is a multiplication part of the equation (the %'s that affect p.attack) and a static part of the equation (the +'s that affect p.attack)
the multipliers obviously multiply the base value to get to the total value
and the plus obviously adds to the total value
So what i mean by Base is this, when you use your 6% talisman, it modifies the % part, that's why you can't just use the number you see in the screen to do this kinda of math unless you know very well what that number represents.
This stands for the BASIC p attack calculation, there is critical damage, evasion, and LOT more to know, but i feel like i've made a lot of people lifes very more dificult so i'll stop now
ps: keep in mind that skills like rogues/archers/tyrr, etc work in VERY diferent ways so dont think you can adapt this to anything, it is not as simple as that
Hope I helped :)
This knowledge is pre-GoD so if it has changed and anyone can add up please feel free to present any opnions
I believe the case with less than 5 parts for Bonus from Set is that you need to have at least the main (upper) body.
About Talismans.
I know that talismans from Grocery don't work. Except for the "speed" one.
Maybe these posted here need to be checked better too.
(Your P attack - Static P attack from passives) = New P attack
New P attack * 6% + Static P attack from Passives = ?????
