So since it's ok to pay to win now since you guys sold Destruction EWR's and EWA's so that people could way to get +15 weaps and +6 armor sets. Can you explain why that is? Sure doesn't seem fair to me, and thousands of other players.
I'll try to clue you in... United States has dollars printed and uses those as currency for trade and services. If you decided to make your own dollars or steal dollars from another it would be illegal. NCSoft makes the rules and they can dictate what type of RMT is wrong in their virtual world. This is a very basic concept with any controlled system/environment.
Solution, you don't like the way things are run in this virtual sand box... take your ball to the next playground.

Why is it not fair when you had the option to buy the items too?
I had the option and declined, probably the same as you.. except I'm not complaining about it.
Ohh QQ more.
You have game for free.
You have (maybe not perfect but still) game support for free.
You have updates what in other companies you have to pay.

How they suppose to keep businesses?
Check out Aion.
Both NCsoft games.
NA Aion is going F2P soon. Trail accounts available up to level 40 w/o limits.
Frequent updates and fixes. Huge expansion on it's way.
Much better service than Lineage 2. Account services available.
How are they supposed to keep business? Easy. Take a hint from Aion and improve game quality/services so that they can keep players. Monitor and ban Botting/RMT and overall exploiters of the game. Cater to the majority instead of chasing the satisfaction of minorities who pay more because they can.
Now I have a question for you. If the thousands of players online daily were enjoying the game and what NCwest has to offer, are they not more likely to buy items rather than ragequit because of the richer folk buying overpowering items?
'cause the way I see it is that NCwest has had so much potential with Lineage 2 and has thrown it out completely. If every player that played and enjoyed a private server and donated to them (sometimes in the thousands) played retail instead, then they would not have a a money issue.
It's legal when ncsoft does it, it's illegal when players do it. Why? Because wants to have its cake and eat it too. It is hypocritical and immoral.
One party owns the game, the other one doesnt, how is that so hard to understand?

Everyone was given the same chance to buy those items. Dont get mad at ppl that bought, just because you didnt...
And those scrolls are nothing like the RMT you are talking about.
Anyway I was with NCW far longer then you (I guess)
I saw rise of NCW with L2 and then gradual loosing all they got.
Almost empty Naia was really sad view.
I can't say, I'm enthusiastic about f2p model.
I was able to afford pay for 2 accounts, but heck running on empty land of Aden was nothing funny.
Now when they banned enough account that we can log, I'm really happy.
In p2p or f2p I was never planing to competitive with top addicted fellows.
Was never and I'm not now as well.
If someone is buying 50 DEWR, I can only say gl - i'm glad that one (or his family) is enough reach to spend 1000+ Euro for few pixels.
Really? You're crying because you didn't or couldn't purchase the L2 store items? Some of us who paid for a year in advance got refunded in Ncoins when the game went free. I am one of those people who got ncoins in return and choose to spend the wisely. Don't rage on us for something we had no choice in. I'd have taken my money back over ncoins, but like I said wasn't up to me.
Anyway I was with NCW far longer then you (I guess)
Your loss, and that is definitely a guess. Don't let post counts fool you.

I'm happy in mine own game
Fortunately, L2 is a openly competitive game and not all players want to play as you do. Those of us who do want to have some sort of balanced PvP (or at least some kind of limitation on how much of an advantage you can have by buying coins) really don't want to see this part of the game go to waste.
That might be okay with you, but it's a huge aspect of the game and you cannot force everybody to play their own game like you want them to. Therefore, I don't see the point of your posts.

Point is with f2p, I see more ppl.
In p2p I saw 100 factors ( with 300 chars in afk trains) and remaining 800 ppl.
It was Naia last days of p2p.
Those 100 'factors' were ebaying as hell anyway but NC was affraid to ban them as they were owning almost 30% paid accounts.
Now at least with f2p they have balls to ban top as they know ... they come back to buy rune and dewr :)
Am I sorrow you and your pvp problems?
Not at all, you can be competitive as much as you wish.
Buy scrolls.
As in past just were "forced" to e-bay to pvp, now you are not.
At least now you can't call opponent e-bayer as you can buy it as well ;)
Can't you buy?

Lol even though you're not worth replying to with all the anger I sense. You seem to have a problem with PvPers. Is this true? Are you playing a PvP game w/o PvPing?
And do you honestly believe in what you just posted? You expect people to buy their way into PvP to compete with the "ebayers"?
If they remove the overpowering items from the Store, then these players could go back to RMT right? But would they then not be banned and have to start over like you stated, spending more on Runes and Vitality pots?
If competitive PvP is not your style, I still don't see why you would support these cheaters who ruined your server (as you have stated) in P2P and are slowly doing so again in F2P.
"Can't you buy?" Lol, I do spend money on games. But I refuse to drop hundreds of dollars to be put among the top abusers of this game.

btw, i came back to see whats going on in aion. been in sanctum for a few days and i didnt see any selling website advertised and other crap, whats going on? this was a nice surprise, i remember seeing lots of spam in that town and they barely did anything.
"Can't you buy?" Lol, I do spend money on games. But I refuse to drop hundreds of dollars to be put among the top abusers of this game.
It is practically irrelevant but I'm just wonder.
If you refuse to spend hundreds of dollars why you qq here?
I know, and you probably as well that these fellows would ebay that weapon or those scrolls anyway.
If you are same Kagan from Teon you know better then others how it was.
I remember I was collecting money to buy DC helm - it cost me 100.000.000 Adnea :D
I was very proud however roughly same time I met some dude in full +6 set NM who just lost helmet in PvP/PK.
I would possible commit suicide but he have said - I'm going "shopping" and next day (maybe 2!) he had +6 set back.
And there were no DEAA ... even rec for helmet was practically impossible to get :D
So question.
Why you are playing virgin?
Ofc I would love to have game without cheaters with p2p model.
But it wasn't working as people were abusing it before.
Now you have at least chance to have same gear without breaking rules.
P.S. 'I'm going shopping' that was his words ..and it was 2006 I guess :p

Because I'm a fan of this game and I hate seeing it go to waste. I wish all the others who love this game wouldn't have given up so easily. I want to see something change for the better in this game and see it playable once more. The current amount of corruption and game abuse is huge and I don't see NCwest acting towards anything except taking what money they can before the game dies. That is why I QQ.
I know, and you probably as well that these fellows would ebay that weapon or those scrolls anyway.
I've never spent money out of the game for items within it. I would never sell my items either, especially not an OE weapon. You don't have to take my word for it. Just look at my characters, they are nothing special.
If you are same Kagan from Teon you know better then others how it was.
I'm not. And I don't give a **** who he is or what he thought. But I know how the game was back then and I was against it back then too.
------------ Cut the random story about DC out because it only serves to prove my point anyway --------
So question.
Why you are playing virgin?
Virgin? I don't understand what you're implying by this. If you're trying to say that I'm acting pure, well that's because I am. I have never botted, exploited the game or taken part in RMT. And I've always been against it.
Ofc I would love to have game without cheaters with p2p model.

You're right here. You do have a chance to obtain the seem gear/level without breaking the rules. But that is only a year after the game abusers have used it to dominate the servers. And part of the reason this has already happened more than once is because players you (assuming you're not one of them) aren't willing to take a stand.
P.S. 'I'm going shopping' that was his words ..and it was 2006 I guess
But now he can do it legally. Just buy Destruction scrolls and OE weapons to his heart's content. And he can say it proud.
I for one, (even though I have spent at least 1200 dollars on the game).. think that ncsoft has done good and bad things with the new "free" service. We have a bright, exciting game again to play. We have thousands of players within it, and the end of the game is no longer in the near future. I feel that this has nothing to do however with the items they are chosing to allow us to buy and that simply happned by putting the private server market out of business by offering the same free service on official servers. I feel that ncsoft needs to be more careful from here on out in what they allow people to buy with the ncoin. XP Runes, Vitality Potions.. all this stuff is probably ok.... but allowing Destruction enchants is simply to much as that it basicly says.. spend 500 dollars for a +6 armor set.. or spend 2000 dollars for a physical damage weapon +15 or 3500 dollars for a magic one +15. Destruction is the mistake. Allowing purchase of blessed enchants i think is fine. Allowing purchase of enchant success increasers is also fine.. but the Destruction is to far.... to be honest if I had my way i would think of other more inventive ways to make the ncoin be spent rather then destroying the game play environment for the majority of users who will not spend more then a few hundred dollars in the game. Whos gameplay is more valuable to ncsoft? the guy with 10 grand, the guy's with 2 grand, or the umpteen thousands with 100 dollars? I thin ncsoft should allow anybody to be seriously competative with less then 150 dollars spent per month, ie, maximum vitality for time spent, maximum ability to make ++ weapons.. and ++ gears should have nothing to do with real world currency as it basicly just says "spend a boatload of money to be strong, but are you actually better at the game?" clearly not.
I will add that, +15 weapons in top level olympiad are not game changers quite as much as you would expect.
They need to enforce a limit for spending for each house household, ip address, and they need to make it so that weapons and armor can have a maximum number of armor/weapon enchants applied to them that are of the ncstore variety. IE A particular helmet can have only say 1 beard applied each 14 day period. This way people cannot abuse or gain monster weapons/armors.
They need to make it more enticing for more people to spend rather then the rich few who spend thousands.
150 people x 1000 each....
OR
15000 people * 100 each. Take your pick. I think ncsoft would chose the later if they could find a way to facilitate it. My thoughts are make vitality pots cheeper... why not allow class change from ncoin? Another thought would be to buyout these third party applications, and just incorperate them into the game play.... and gain those subscription fees as well.. and make them legal since it seems 60% of everyone that is competitive is using them right under ncsofts nose..
I like how are incorperating ncoin into the events.. the first run at it didnt seeem so successful but im sure they will get this right eventually.
I know a lot of people don't agree with me, or other people being upset about the DEW/AR's in the shop and that's ok, because as many of you have said they paid for what they got, and they have it, but it isn't any different than illegal RMT.
Yes, illegal RMT supports a lot of wrong doing in game, but at it's core it is no different than what NC is doing. You're still paying to gain an advantage on the rest of the player base. Something like this never would have passed while the game was P2P, and it shouldn't at this point either.
I understand that NC has to make money, and I support them in their efforts from time to time, but doing things like this goes completely against what many players consider a fair way of doing so.
I also understand many players had many NC Coins left over from the P2P to F2P transition, as did I, but assuming that every player has the choice of spending thousands of dollars on a game is crazy. It doesn't create an equal playing field, nor does it support one.
Many players are 100% ok with exp runes, or vit maintaining potions, cosmetic items, ect. It's just things like these scrolls that support only a few players dumping thousands into the game instead of as Hypnocrit said, getting more to spend money to create a more equal playing field, it creates few to spend TONS to create an even more unbalanced one.

QFT because I do agree with what you've been saying. What turned me off this time about the event chest was that some of the rewards were random chance. When I am buying something I want to know and be guaranteed what I am purchasing. I do not like purchasing chance.
Third party programs I still don't think have a place in any game, but perhaps there can be a happy medium with it as something implemented to the game...maybe though. I do however think the store could be better. I like permanent items over temp and 1 hour xp runes are fantastic.

I would say in some ways that this is worse than illegal RMT -- I just looked at prices, and at reduced prices, it still costs 4x more money to buy adena to buy Destruction scrolls alone when buying adena at a reduced bulk price. 6x+ without discounts.
With all the added stuff on top of the Destruction scrolls, you're probably saving minimally 5x what it would cost to buy it from a third party source.
The fact is that the majority of people who didn't RMT in the past, still won't RMT now, at least in excess, even if prices are drastically reduced. For the most part (Not always) only benefits those who have an already existing RMT mindset, or those that just might have been on the fence waiting for lowered prices. I think most of us will most likely spend a little bit here and there, but definitely not 1K+ just to get an item.
I think Hypnocrit hit everything on the head; pretty much verbatim said what I was thinking.

They also need to ban exploiters. But hey, maybe something will be done in the future?
