Hi Everyone :)...though i am not new to L2 ( been 7 years playing)...i am new to forums and am wondering....is this a good "Info" place or just a place ppl **** on one another? This is my 1st time ever on a forum and i dont know much yet about them...but i am quite knowledgeable about L2. I was hoping to spread some things ive leaned along the way down the very long road of my many years of playing as i know there are alot of new ppl coming to game now. I am hoping you guys ( and yes you girls too) could help me down my new road to Forums. I will say in avance TY to all that may read this and to any/all help i can/may get along the way, so until next time...have a great time in game...be safe...and perhaps see ya in game ( i play on the Chronos server ) :D TTFN
let me explain the forums to you this way, you could walk down the same street everyday to and from work and meet nothing but friendly people for years then take that same street one night at 4am after a night of drinking and get mug'd. DAS BOOT. DAS FORUMS.

This about sums it up (I may be exaggerating, but I would say it's a fairly accurate summary, even though it's a tongue-in-cheek joke), sadly:
1 in 100 people here are here to sincerely help others and are generally very nice.
30 in 100 people here are trolls, deliberately trying to spark fights between others or themselves.
50 in 100 people here are idiots, some I would say legally ******ed, unaware of what they're even asking. These people may be confused with the trolls.
19 in 100 people ask legitimate questions and at least make some attempt to better the community, but are unable to successfully to obtain useful information because 80 other ******** are babbling incoherently.
Ultimately, the biggest aid is actually going to be the search engine for new people -- because the people who do want to help or can help very rarely check here anymore because we're generally sick of how people act here (Hence why I personally have so few posts -- I post in bursts really). So I mean, your posts won't go unseen, it's just that you may not get the immediate response you were expecting. The biggest help is just simply asking in-game, especially inside their clans -- so most will do that, rather than check here.
The issue is most people fail to use the search engine, old and new alike (For some reason) -- so it's a catch 22.
What you do wish to share, definitely put it in the proper section to reduce the likeliness of getting flamed. Don't take any attacks personally, even though I understand that is easier said than done. If you really want to share information, my best suggestion is talking to people who work at a fan site, as they'll generally be more proactive in maintaining a certain atmosphere.
most of the attacks generally are personal and have everythin to do with Who you are rather than your in-game character although even then you can be attacked for that.

Sometimes ppl ask for sonatas because the Tank has to go get mobs...just because the isn't over yet it doesn't mean you shouldn't do..

Thx everyone for your input...i will keep these things in mind and take heed to the advice :D . hmmm, perhaps i should have used the "Multi Quotes"....ill do that next time too. Hmmm just thought of another question, i notice under everyones forum name...they have titles like "Elpy", "Dark Warrior", Baylor, Earth Worm Trasken and the like.....is this a random title or can that too be changed in profile?...im still poking around in there.

moderators sem to take time off leaving room for a lot of bannable postings...
i've seen advertisements for cheats, i've seen phishing scams, i've seen blatent video with clans botting...
weekends can be chaotic.
and even though what Narcilus said is mainly true...
there are some folks who jump between those categories.
some folks love to troll, and antagonize, yet have a nice side and do help wherever they can.

Welcome to the forum. Things around here can be very entertaining, especially when viewed from certain perspectives.
I read a suggestion in one of the earlier posts about searching the forum before creating a new thread, and I cannot agree with that enough. If you go back far enough you might find yourself in a whole different world. It can be very interesting and very nostalgic.
Thx all...you all awesome and ill do my best not to "step on toes", tho i can at times come out swinging when urged to. I hope this doesnt happen cuz im here mainly to help out the noobs if i can with some knowledge and maybe learn a thing or two about things i may not even know...Again i ty all :p

First off let me say welcome to the forums Punky. I too am new. Btw I laughed at the title of this post. We have all been there at one point or another. I myself had browsed these forums for years before making an account to post with. Like yourself I am very knowledgeable in the world in Lineage 2. The forums are a great place to learn some useful info as well as get a good laugh when you might be having a bad day, you never know what you'll find here. And while they do seem to be a bit heavily moderated there are always ways of getting your message across, sometimes in means of subliminal messages.
Anyways, I'm not trying to write a story but just wanted to say welcome and let me know if I can be of assistance.
