Legacy Eva's Saint Blunt Weapon?

So we get this when we awaken, yet I'm a bit confused into why, are we supposed to do something to it so it gets some proper stats? do we "fuse" it onto another weapon for the looks?

someone enlighten me :s lol

It's only a weapon to remember who you were, it serves no purpose afaik.
