The Masters of Aden event is now over! Thanks to everyone that participated in the event. We hope that you enjoyed our buffs and visits to your server.

Here are some fun screenshots we took. Please don't hesitate to post your own.

A big thank you to the players who were assisting others by shouting and explaining how the vitality mini-game worked. Your efforts and help were very appreciated! :D

Just a few things to clarify about the event based on player questions we saw:

The Elpy Master transformation can only be used by GMs. Sorry! :(
Our staff could only give out vitality refills by targeting each player one by one. Our previous ability (in former game versions) to give out vitality using an AOE buff does not currently function since our transition to Goddess of Destruction.
Many players voiced concern that they had difficulty finding the doors and getting to the locations in time before they closed and they wanted to know if anyone made it at all. The dimensional doors for the vitality mini-game have a very short timer on them. We had many players reach these doors within the time and they successfully passed through the door to get their vitality refilled.

Iss Enchanter buffs were AOE and we chose to include the Berserker's Harmony buff because it was the most balanced of the three. We had several GMs spread out through Fantasy Isle giving away the Wizard or Guardian buffs to individual players. The AOE buff however could replace your Wizard or Guardian Harmony buff with the Berseker's Harmony if you were too close in range.

The server schedule for this event was consistent, except on the weekend, when Chronos and Shilen had their Territory Wars and Castle Sieges. Times were chosen based on the peak time for each server. There was some schedule confusion with several players who reported that we showed up an hour early after Daylight Savings time came into effect. We posted updates to our time schedule as soon as possible.

Level 5 Christmas Trees were put down during the finale to give out 1-hour vitality recovering items, but were automatically reset back to level 1 after two hours. We went back onto each server to respawn them at 2 hour intervals.

Feel free to share any feedback regarding this GM event or any constructive criticism you may have, so we can make improvements for future events.
It's hard to believe you had to target players one by one to give vitality, after all you had like hundreds of them following you.
I guess the only complaint from my side is, is that you should've announced in chat that you guys are leaving the server. I think I only saw that announcement once.
The only feedback should be a thank you.

Thank you.
Only little drawback was the insane lag, and I dunno if this could be optimized for future events like this one. I hope you'll bring more of active GM events, there would be so many possibilities.

To make it short: I enjoyed the event a lot, thank you!

It also was good timing for many ppl. to learn the new Aden-instance without XP loss and with good/long buffs. Well done!

PS: I couldnt believe my eyes there was so much whining about free stuff, both in shout and now even in the forum. Guess some ppl. are never happy...
It was nice event for all of us. Whoever said he/she didn't enjoy it, lies. Who don't want more xp? Indeed the lag was insane, sometimes really hard to move, but it worth. However i think i enjoyed the last day most. It was fast to take the star and just go out of that laggy area, instead of laggy running after someone and try to target the door that disappear 2-3 times in front of me. Thank you for the event.
-1 due to server crash & huge lags
I loved the vit star. Since i had full vit on one acc its nice to have this now as backup.

Also -1 due to lags. Many ppl QQed that they couldn't move to the doors/tree.

Would love to see the Vit NPC back again (not the GK doing it).
Rly it was great to catch your vit when we decided to do with a fixed reuse timer.
The lag was insane, but I enjoyed the event! Though I thought that the transformation on GMs avatars was a Spirit of the Cat... Ah, **** eyes... XD
My biggest complant was the buffing.
Which u can see from my post about it.
Not making zone spots to buff players who want specific buffs...and auto buffing Berzerkers at the GK to over ride other buffs...it really annoyed me to no end. When u got over 50 ppl standing at the GK's and u can't port out.

Next time how about you all think about the congestion of players in 1 spot, before u do mass effect things...
First I would like to thank you for this event as you did a great work putting it together.

I have to highlight the general idea handing the vitality only to active people. People had to do something easy to get the desired reward in form of VP. You learned from the past and made a big progress in my eyes.

Keeping it on the same schedule for the days made it easier to prepare - I count myself as a casual player and still was able to attend the event all days except one including final day.

Great idea was to use the Dimension door (this doors will replace Trasure Chests in Tauti ...) to separate people who met the criteria for getting their vitality refilled. You thought yourself a great idea how to bypass the inability to refill the VP per AOE.

Some complains about the short lifetime of Dimension doors were raised, but I saw that NCJuji did spawned them on the same spot even twice so people could get in, so it was definitively not an intention to leave people without VP.

The lag problems were present of course, but even on a 4 year old laptop, I was able to get to desired area, enter the door and get my VP refilled.

Last part of the event I enjoyed probably the most, Antharas/Baium transformation in combination with the X-mas tree was really a highlight.

Thank you once again.
It is not a "zoom ****," it's a GM tool that we use when filming in-game footage. Nice try tho :)

If you use it, it's a tool. If we use, it it's a ****.

About the event..
The vitality has such a low impact at high levels that it won't be a big deal if it get's refilled daily.
In 1h at lvl 86, while doing AOE and gaining 3-4% I lose all vitality.
ň
In 1h at lvl 86, while doing AOE and gaining 3-4% I lose all vitality.
15min in nursery and vitality gone ...
I should also say, while I had my issues with the Event.
I do apperciate u all doing it. This is the most events I've ever seen done in L2 ever. When it was P2P events wheren't this common place! Basically have had events running from start of GoD to now....

I just wish they where better exicuted...cause they have a huge impact on players..and there are just sooooo many players that don't understand these events and do nothing but spam chat..

Case in point the VP doors.. but everyone just stood at GK'ers yelling for VP!
a) did appreciate event

b) didn't appreciate the timing of doors as there's too many players trying to enter and not enough time and
c) only awakened players had the best chance of making it there since they have free mounts

d) the only time i made it there was when someone summoned me there

targetting a player 1x1 means means that you can buff the same player more than once.

suggestion 1: give out the vit and the buff at the same time next time please.

suggestion 2: make area lvl specific so everyone gets a fair chance at vit
Not all people understand procedures thus the complaints about the buffs.
-Make sure those people are informed

Many don't use the forum or don't know how to use it properly
-Make sure they get the information in game

Of course you want them to visit Facebook & Twitter
-Provide the links while informing the people

You could use Hero Chat or TW chat...

I enjoyed more Vitality Refill than The Star because the latter made me Vitality Addict (Hard not to get when you have alts)
Well for me...i didnt care for the event...too much time was wasteing off the buffs to find and get to the dimensional door , only to have it disappear when i did find it. I myself gave up on the event and stayed out lvling with my own Iss ( no downtime at all, straight up lvlin )...Thx to all for giving up your lvling spots for me while ya went running for Vit :D....Im not gonna sit here and badmouth the event....i just wont attend anymore and stay out lvling. To all of you who enjoyed the event...GREAT...glad it worked out for you all ;)

There is only so much you can do to inform people. You shouldn't have to hold their hands.

There are three out of game sources of information. If people cannot take a few seconds of their time to read one of them, they don't deserve to participate.

Oh HELL no.

You forget one thing:- people are lazy, more so since F2P. they get everything else for free and with minimal to no effort,

They shout "WTH is my VP" and either myself or someone else replies with detailed instructions on how to get it then 30 seconds later, they shout "WTH is my VP"

After a couple of days of this, it's customary to ignore the shouts, and go get my own VP then leave the idiotfest.

Hero chat? ever since they introduced this, I have had this turned off. There is so much non-drama in hero spam, that after the first couple of minutes, it got boring.
"yeah man i pwnd you and your clan", "yeah qq more noob"..

nah not for me. Elro' i'm with you on both of your points on this, mate.
Our staff could only give out vitality refills by targeting each player one by one. Our previous ability (in former game versions) to give out vitality using an AOE buff does not currently function since our transition to Goddess of Destruction.

Suggestion for this one if you repeat it: Combine it with a "port the player back to the middle of Fantasy Isle" skill, so that people don't clog the GM interrogation room.

By the way: You have an own web site with own community features, why the hell do you post a picture of the event on Failbook?!?
All of my characters that matter are on the Chronos server.

I was not able to log onto the Chronos server at all during this event.

I did roll new toons on Bartz. Nice event. Wish I could have logged Chronos instead, though.
The event was pretty great, actually. It was fun running around hoping to catch the doors on time and it had significant advantages (vitality refills and hour long buffs/ sonatas for nursery/ kartia) for those who participated and it wasn't game breaking like Tersi's Light giving people billions of adena to the sleepless, destruction scrolls for the rich, or power shirts for the lucky.

It was nice! I can understand if it took a lot out of the staffers who participated in doing this for hours on end but I really hope you do GM ran events again.
