I have never transferred servers, nor do I want to, but my home server is no longer friendly to my game play. I'm a casual player and play for a few hours most evenings.
I live on the West Coast and we're getting shafted when it comes to server time. I chose my server at the time (Original Bartz) because it was active and close to my time zone--only 2 hours time difference. Other people CHOSE to play there from other time zones and that was fine.. I had friends from Europe and Asia playing there.
I guess I missed the notice that Chronos was up for a vote on server time. I saw that there was going to be a vote for Shillen, Bartz & Magmeld, but I didn't see Chronos on that list. Chronos was made up of all NA servers and I thought it would stay that way. I'll admit I didn't pay enough attention to the notices and now, the server I 'grew up on' was stolen to a far away time zone.
As it stands.. I will not be able to participate in Olymiad (unless I take time off work) and weekend play is a JOKE. I call playing on weekends "Brute-force Login"...
Most other events are geared to players in other time zones. Each time, West Coast players get screwed.
Funny thing that NC West is located in the West Coast time zone.
The only server that is somewhat friendly to me is ironically named Bartz.. the server I originally started on. I refuse to have to PAY to have my characters transferred there.
I know lots of people who read this will say "QQ", but I don't care.
I've played this game since early C1 and I feel I've paid enough to NC Soft to have my voice heard... even if no one is willing to listen.
