Aeore Healer - PvP ?s

Hello, I'm an 86 Aeore Healer and I really want to get into the pvp side of the game. I've been told that we are actually really great 1v1 and in team fights too obviously.

But I am mostly ignorant of the finer details, will getting elements on my gear help? Is there something I am missing? I die so very fast all the time, maybe I'm just unlucky and they happen to be much higher level.

I usually make my tree in group pvp, use copious amounts of balance life and progressive heal + radiant, panic heal and sustain. If someone is on me and the damage is heavy I will try to sleep them (sleep has yet to actually land on anyone..) or pop Dissolve and get away. I try to save celestial protection / rebirth for the last seconds if at all possible.

In 1v1 I use Lumi (for balance life + some damage), keep up my mark of lumi / dark devour if I know the enemy has some kind of healing. Fatal Sleep has much the same problem as group pvp (doesn't land), I like to keep Fairy + Sustain on myself and use my radiant/panic heal for cp restoration. When I get the chance I use dark veil+mass dark veil+dark rain and use dark force just to get the person off me if need be.

Do you have any suggestions for me? I'd really like to improve and I have not had much luck finding information. I also know nothing about the attribute system, is it something I need to look into for PvP too?
Atribute is 50% of what you need to resist in pvp. It's the best -safe- way to mitigate enemy damage since 150+ atribute adds considerable firepower to your char.

You should focus on geting resists for armor first, to be able to withstand attacks. Also, im hoping youre using knight's harmony + shield:D.
I guess I'll have to look into attributes then. :)
As for knights harmony no, I never actually thought of that! Does the Sigil not work like the equivalent of a shield for mages? Sigil + caster sword is what I have been using.

Knight only for solo pvp.
Try to be w/o wiz harm on a mass pvp = 20 seconds reuse on heal = all pt dead x)

++ on resistance. also pvp defense belts and ++jewels before thinking of a decent weapon.

Knights is for noobs, Heavy + Wizards FTW! :D Seriously, I only bother with robes for situational stuff like vs mage classes in oly.

1v1 pvp I just buff reflect dmg, purify the second I get debuffed, heal when needed and use debuff, knockback and nuke the rest of the time with lumi out for balance. Celestial very early on since this is when people tend to use their most powerful skills and if they don't notice your celestial they waste them. If you're still fighting 60s later you can use the 2nd celestial. I also have macros to hot swap between epics and ++ m.def jewels. I usually don't bother with sustain since it doesn't last long and means less time using other skills that are more useful.

Wait, where's reflect damage?! Thanks a lot btw, I appreciate all the help in the thread so far! :)

Sustain is an amazing skill at higher levels and is easily worth it

General tips till you improve...
Use the tree more often on 1vs1.
Also from what you wrote I suppose you "save skills - save mp" Don't! Make sure you have more than 70% CP before you attack. There is no need to go risky. Your enemy soon will run out of mp and then he is dead...
And most important: Learn your enemy's reuse timers on their skills. You will know when to use Radiant Purge and your finger will be on the button the second you get the debuff..
Group pvp on a healer is hella fun IMO, and obviously is very different than 1v1. There is no blueprint to this stuff, but a few donts IMO.

If youre not at war, dont flag first as the healer. Some of the 'hi end' (only on lvls) parties will have their healer flagged from griefing you then go back to killing mobs with healer still flagged. Even when the have better gear and lvl they are still an easy kill, its a HUGE disadvantage.

Dont be so quick to use salvation and mass rez, salvation just to insta die and mass rez down because you used it when 1 dd was out of range. Make sure to use these at optimal times (I know easier said than done)

Dont waste party celestial either, I see many healers pop cel once the first person starts taking damage. You have single target celestial also.

You are a defensive toon, in party pvp do not try to be a DD, you have 4 of them that do more damage than you and cannot heal. Distractions can kill.

Dont forget to cure debuffs, and dont forget rebirth does more than regen mp.
In Pvp, I often find myself locked down by the enemy's tanker, single hate and hate aura disabled me from targeting and healing. Do you guys have any tips about that as Healers?

Balance Heal and Brilliant Heal?
Oh Shilane, u're already a great Aeore Healer...I dont really have any good tips as i'm a noob healer myself...i like playing the decoyin and healer that flag and lure the other team to come after me. ROFL Please Healer is quite tasky as i see...i dont really solo pvp as much more party pvp.

it usually depends on my party strength that i will play differently. usually if my party is strong enough to take down the enemies within 20 -30 secs...i usually use this combo...self protection on me...and heal my party, cleanse, and assist MA in debuff..and then go on party celestial and pop crystal on myself. usually this do the trick if the party is organized well...remember that u have giant's favor skill...i usually use that if the party is messy and struggling,
if u're fast to assist the MA..debuffing the other team is super efficient..aeore have awesome buffs skills...aeore dont really have much trouble unless enemies have wynn summoner...those pets are annoying . if the tank dont aggro them...u just have to be on the run...u should really get some binding resistance and exile resist talismen..very useful..if u're flying or cage..things get messy for u and ur party...
if u can correctly be an uber decoy for the first 20 secs and survive...it gives ur party more time to knock the other party.. as healer..they are always gonna target u in the beginnin anyway...u're first on their hit-list.
golden line - group that makes the first move wins.well the correct move LOL
